Review of the kids theater… Actors and lighting were great, but I was thoroughly disappointed with the fact that the actors were playing within the obstructed view range for half the show. It wasn’t their fault. Actors were great as i said. But when I told employees of the theater they told me that it’s general admission and I should’ve gotten there earlier. So SOMEONE would’ve lost out. Honestly I missed 50% of The Little Prince story and so did my son. I would give fewer stars if it weren’t for the exceptional performances by the actors especially the kid who played the Prince. Great talent. This was my son’s first play and he hated it and asked me to never take him to another play again because of the seriously obstructed view. We won’t be returning but for anyone who goes, make sure you arrive a half hour early or you’ll miss the story!
Edit: I know it was a seat yourself show but these were the only two seats together. Maybe if families didn’t have coats and bags on seats it would’ve been easier. Also I used to work in theater so I knew to arrive early, but it didn’t make a difference. Actors should be told to play about a foot back. And the fact that the director just replied to my review calling me stupid has caused me to lower my rating from 2 to 1 stars.

Quality Theatre. Friendly organization. Variety of genres. Something for the whole family. Great prices. I have been a patron since the beginning and will be for many, many years to come!

Maryland Ensemble Theater is an outstanding place to laugh, cry and explore all that professional theater has to offer. From late night comedy sketches to children’s shows, their productions are high quality, thought provoking and fun! Their programs are affordable, and fulfilling. I highly recommend!

Fine local theater group! Enjoyable shows and well acted. Go see future Broadway stars while the ticket prices are still reasonable.
