Warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food is delicious and the portions are plentiful. My only issue; being offered sparkling water and being charged $ 5.00 for Voss, really they don’t have club soda at the bar.

I had to judge this place based on two different experiences. First, I want to say that the food was great. I had a BLT and some French Onion soup, both of which were awesome. And my friend got some sort of toast with ham, and cheese sauce. I tried a bite and it was really good too. I showed up for brunch and the atmosphere is great; white walls, dark wood furnishings, and a piano in the corner for live music play. So all of that is right up my alley. What got me though was when I went back a few days later, to have dinner(because I genuinely liked the food that much), and I wanted to see some live piano music. I tried going in before the dinner rush, and the waiter wanted to put me and another friend in the back room away from the bar and music. I could understand if the place was packed and they wanted to reserve some front tables for larger parties than two, but there were like only a few other diners in the whole restaurant. We even said we’d be quick about our meal and given that we were there before dinner and there was nobody in there anyway, but they weren’t budging. The thing is, I’m an easy going person. I don’t ask for much. But to not accommodate a simple request on a weekday night when nobody was in there doesn’t seem like I’m being a jerk customer. It’s not like I was asking for anything crazy. You have music, I want to see the music. Nobody puts the baby in the corner! I didn’t eat there that night out of principle. I ended up going somewhere else. The food is great; the rating would have been between a 4 and 5. But with my experience, we’re going with a 2 for now.

Great place that you’d expect to find in DC, not Fredneck. Piano in the bar, food that comes in huge portions. But the quality is right up there with the quantity. I would love for there to be a better veggie option than the dreaded tofu! My companions loved their food through. Great service, great selection of wines… You can’t go wrong here!

Since Parc Bistro has been open(about 10 months) we have eaten there about once every three weeks or 12 – 14 times in total. Living in downtown Fred we make it a point to try all of the options, usually more than once. We think this place offers some of the best food at a goods value that cane be had in town, all presented 100% of the time by servers who know what they are doing and are friendly. From Sunday brunch to regular dinners I can not recall having anything that was perfect or very close to it. The steak frites(on special Thursday nights) is one of the best prepared steaks in town. They also have a very affordable wine list, with many great choices in the $ 20-$ 35 a bottle range. As it is a couple blocks off of Market it takes a bit more effort to eat there but it is easily walkable from Market Street and if driving there is lots of free parking in the back. The manager/owner comes from one of the best places in downtown(that was rebranded into Reina) and his experience shows in all aspects of the experience. We will continue to make it one of our«go to» places in town.

This place has a terrific atmosphere, only surpassed by the food and service. The balance between coziness and elegance is perfect at Le Parc. You can literally eat puff pastry next to a fireplace. Lunch specials range from bisque under pastry to savory crepes to souffles. Even the side salads are all dressed up for Instagram. Don’t overlook Le Parc for an elevated happy hour, either. The bar is staffed by people who are warm and welcoming, as well as experienced. Some of their tasty food items even have happy hour portions and prices. A friend and I recently enjoyed mussels and duck poutine with our cocktails while the fire crackled in the background. This place will absolutely be on my list next time I plan a special celebratory meal as well, since there’s a certain something special about Le Parc, which is only magnified by its welcoming ambiance.

Considering how well Frederick does the thoughtful non-chain restaurant scene, I was expecting big things from this self-labeled«French Bistro.» Overall, the experience was underwhelming. While the soup of the day(a squash-based bisque) was tasty and thoughtfully prepared, the«French» salad I ordered was like anything you could have ordered at a fast-casual chain like Panera — one kind of lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, and suddenly it’s over $ 10 and European? I’m skeptical, but maybe the heavier and less-reasonably-priced food fare on the admittedly small menu makes up for the lackluster smaller entrees. The atmosphere had potential apart from it’s emptiness when I visited for lunch on a Saturday. There was a sign boasting live music(too early maybe?) and our view of the bar was warm and inviting. Overall, this place is just OK. The service is friendly and the menu is fairly neutral, but I much prefer the other places Frederick has to offer.

Just had a ladies night here and was very pleased. Made reservations for 8 people and they put us in the back room which was nice. The atmosphere was very pleasant, not too fancy for a loud group of eight ladies. Happy hour drinks were affordable. Brussel sprouts for an appetizer were good, crispy tofu for my entrée was also good. Couple people had the steak salad which was a big hit! I tried the steak and it was delicious. Crab cake sandwich and the French onion soup were also very well liked. Service was great, waiter was attentive and others, I’m assuming managers, checked in as well. Separate checks were provided without even asking which was very appreciated. Overall a very pleasant dinner and evening here at Le Parc!
