So many better options in the area. Low quality instruction. Minimal parking, tiny waiting area. Teacher favoritism and bullying is common. Teachers make fun and speak badly of students constantly even out in the lobby. If you have a dancer looking to be serious about dance this is not the place, students miss a lot and class can’t move forward because of lack of constant attendance. The skill level of the higher level classes is far below what other studios offer. Lots of trophies around the studio but the competition team bends the rules to compete in lower levels in order to appear as «winners». Teaching young dancers that winning a trophy is more important than following the rules and actually trying to improve.

My 5-year-old daughter has been taking ballet here for over a year now, and we have had a very positive experience. She also took a 4-week hip hop class here over the summer, and went to the Tinkerbell camp. All of the teachers are great with kids. The classes fill up quickly – the studio appears to be very popular. I know the director does her best to accommodate special needs children as well, which I think is wonderful. I usually sit and wait while my daughter is at her class, but I know the parents with older kids often leave and come back… lots of places nearby to go – the studio is right in the historic district. There are small TVs set up inside so that you can watch your child’s class. The waiting area is somewhat small and can get crowded, but not a big deal. I find the other parents to be very pleasant and sometimes they chat – I usually also bring a book. Parking is very limited – if I am running late, I usually have to find a spot on the street.
