Crystal Lume Med Spa

This is such a wonderful place to go! I have been seeing Ann for quite some time now and have had the Silk Peel, Skin Rejuvenation, and microdermabrasion done here. I have fair skin and I get brown spots from the sun so I did some research and found that a laser could get rid of them. I actually went somewhere else first before I came to Crystal Lume and I didn’t see any results. So, I decided to give Crystal Lume a try and I am so glad I did! Ann did a consult with me and showed me before and after pictures (since I am a very skeptical person) and we decided on the Skin Rejuvenation. She composed a package for me that included the lasers and the microderm and it was FAR LESS than what the other place was going to charge me for those same things. After just one treatment, I SAW RESULTS! Now I know results vary from person to person, but I just couldn’t believe the results I got. My brown spots literally got really dark and then just came off by themselves. My brother noticed and thought I had brownie batter on my face lol But there is no down time, I just put concealer on them. Then I scheduled my micro to smooth everything out and my face looked awesome! The freckles on my nose still haven’t come back and it’s literally been years since I had the skin rejuvenation done.
I feel really bad for the people below who seemed to not be happy because I recommend Crystal Lume to all my friends. Ann is very sweet and knowledgable. She is not out to make money. I even pointed out a peel that I wanted and she said it wouldn’t be the peel for me. I feel like most places would let you spend the money and get it and not think twice about what is best for you. The other thing I like about Ann is she takes before and after pictures of you so you can literally see the difference! Oh, I almost forgot, if you are having a mask on or numbing cream she lets you sit in this AMAZING massage chair while you wait!
I am about results so I really could care less if her office isn’t the «typical» spa the others were referencing below with fancy slippers and robes, waterfalls, and weird music. All those extras are what make your procedures hundreds of dollars more. Ann has nice rooms that are nicely decorated and everything is clean and in its place. As another person mentioned, less overhead = cheaper prices DUH! So if you hesitant about trying Crystal Lume because of other’s comments, I would just give it a try for yourself. You will quickly see it is a great place to go!

I purchased a Groupon for laser hair removal treatments at this establishment. I called to schedule my first appointment, and that began the most unprofessional and rude interaction I have ever had. When I explained that I have a Groupon and would like to get started with my appointments, the woman said «No you don’t». After explaining to her that I am looking at my voucher, she explained that there is no way it is possible and it has expired. I read the expiration date (in 6 months from now) and she started yelling at me. Yup, must be my fault. She said that she would not honor the Groupon and it is wrong. She told me I had to call Groupon because she is not going to have anything to do with me. THEN SHE HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME. Reading other reviews, this appears to be a common trend. If she wasn’t so rude, maybe I would try the spa without a groupon… now, absolutely no way… EVER.
So, as for the service, I actually never stepped foot in the «spa», but for my 2 minute phone call, it was ridiculous, I am VERY glad that things did not work out.
On the bright side, the lovely lady working at Groupon refunded my money no questions asked and was very apologetic about my run-​in with Crystal Lume Medical Spa.

Don’t even know where to start on this! Suffice it to say I don’t enjoy writing scathing reviews but this was a BAD experience. The only thing that came out unscathed (and looking okay) was our skin.
I saw the one review here, bought two silk peel Groupons, and brought my hard-​working mom as a «treat». Such a bad call!
The office is an office, not a spa. It looks nothing like a spa. It’s crowded, poorly decorated, messy, and not relaxing by any means. It’s really a side hallway to a doctor’s office (they share the building).
When we got there the lady spent almost 20 minutes showing us before and afters of facelifts and fat removal, which we clearly were not interested in. She doesn’t speak clear English, which also made things confusing.
Bad turned to worse when my mom was having her faced washed over a sink (like a sink sink — the lady was holding her neck with one hand and scrubbing her face with the other — not making this up!) and she asked «should I take off my earrings?» The lady said «no, no, it okay». Two seconds later one of them was down the sink.
My parents don’t have a lot of money. Those were my mom’s «diamonds» to her, some hand-​blown glass earrings my dad got her from Arizona. She has only cried two times I can remember: at my wedding and at my son’s birth. She was tearing up. The lady could have made things better with compassion or an apology but all she said was «oh, that too bad» and kept scrubbing mom’s face.
I went to the dr’s office next door to ask if there was a maintenance worker who could help see if it was stuck in the pipe. They were much nicer, and taped a sign on the sink and said to wait for the woman’s husband, who was out running errands and very handy.
The sign was taped and not two minutes later the lady walked out of the room mom was in getting her peel and said «what? why you do that?!» I explained and she was VERY frustrated. She handed me a towel (the one I had put in the bottom of the sink to stop more water from going down the drain — not making this up!!!) and the SAME SCRUBBY she used on mom’s face (yes, it’s my mom, but that is NOT sanitary) and directed me to the DOCTOR’S OFFICE BATHROOM.
Our facial’s themselves were not bad, just a little rough, but the experience worsened…
When mom was asked to lay on the table for her facial there was no protective covering (dr’s office type table) which is also a health violation. She requested some paper to be put down and the woman begrudgingly did so.
When I was in there she abruptly told me she had another patient and left mid-​treatment (my mom and I had a 4 and 430? confused as this second patient came at 430…) and didn’t return for some time.
When her husband got there he was SO nice (the one bright point, although she had already informed me «my husband, he is too kind, he cares about patients but not about money» — he said of course we would retrieve it and then drove a half hour and back to and from his house for tools to take the pipe apart.
Mom and I, meanwhile, were directed to the empty doctor’s office to wait, because «they were closed».
We wound up having to leave before he got back because my son needed to be put to bed, but left our phone numbers.
I had to call myself an hour and a half later. This is where it gets very sketchy:
Me: «Hi, I was wondering if you found the earring?»
Lady: «No, we no find it. Too much water. Goodbye» (hangs up)
Me: (call back) «May I speak with your husband?»
Lady: «No, he not here». (hangs up)
Two minutes later…
Lady calls back and says «actually, he just tell me he find it. You pick up tomorrow, 10am sharp, no afternoon.» (hangs up)
W…T…F? (pardon me but REALLY?)
Would not recommend, will not go back, and that earring had better be there tomorrow when I show up at 10am. Sharp.
AMENDMENT: this morning my mom noticed that the small scratch on her chin from the procedure was infected. so I guess even that part of the «good» of the experience is out the window, now.

Wonderful med spa! The lady in charge is extremely informative, carefully explaining the procedures she performs in a lot of detail, and showing examples of before and after photos of past clients so you know what to expect. She’s very friendly and personable as well, and will recomment products for you based on your skin’s needs (but isn’t pushy at all, either).
I came here for a SilkPeel, which was fantastic. I left with smooth skin and a pumpkin mask that’s been working wonders on my face. She even performed extractions and provided a mask for me while I sat there for no extra cost. I really recommend this place. She does all sorts of other treatments and prices are great!
