Food was inedible. Avoid if at all possible. If you’re looking for some nice cardboard or desert chicken so dry the Sahara would be jealous then this is the spot for you!

I have been coming here going on a year now. First off I will list the pros… Great staff, good for watching sports and great dart boards. Now the cons… They start charging a cover wayyyyy to early(7PM when the band does not start until 10PM). I am old so I am usually out of there before the band starts. The food is TERRIBLE! If clogged arteries and diabetes is what you are into this is definitely your spot!

Average bar. It is large! Lots of pool tables, dart boards. Excellent stage for bands. Big dance floor. Did not eat. Had a good time dancing and listening to The Drunkin’ Pirates band. Great band!

I remember there were a bunch of sports bars in the Midwest that were called Champion, so when someone suggested to go there for work happy hour, I knew what to expect: large portions, tons of seating, TVs everywhere, pool tables, darts and easy parking. The beer selection was your typical, though I wish they kept a drink menu of some sort. I just have a problem with the men’s restroom. As most men may attest, our standard for bathroom cleanliness is rather low — heck we are willing to pee into a sewage type setup at football games. But it bothers me that urinals at Champion would back splash anyone who uses it, so if you don’t notice it quickly enough, your pants will soon be covered with water + someone else’s pee. They use those airplane faucet so you have to be lightning quick to get wash your hands. And they have one hand fan that every guy either waits for or just pat their wet hands on their pants. What are we, animals?

These guys and girls really know how to role out the hospitality. Great Bunch of people. I also won a raffle: Love my fridge

The«waitress» here is utterly useless to do her simple job like oh I don’t know, serving a drink. If you do happen to come here, avoid sitting in Reagan’s section because you won’t receive any beverages or food you order. Then she will call you rude when you ask her if you can order a drink from her even though it’s…her job. Don’t even think of going to play pool because waitresses don’t serve you there. Good luck getting your tab since they won’t give you that either. I don’t really understand the point of hiring brain dead servers that are on their phone or won’t serve customers when the place is literally empty. I won’t be coming back and I guarantee many others won’t either since there are way better places to eat, drink and play pool.

HORRIBLEHORRIBLE service. You will wait forever and get an attitude from almost all of the waitresses, if they ever show up or return to your table. I often have to go order another drink or get a refill of soda from a bartender when I’m at a table. The food takes forever to come out. It has been this way for years. It’s a shame because it is a great set up in there and they have plenty of parking. It’s a good place to watch football and the wings are pretty spectacular. That is the ONLY thing that keeps me coming back.

Large on almost all aspects. Roomy dining, billiard, bar seating, stage performance area, outside seating, and dance floor. Mostly a sports bar, they also provide entertainment that is varied to accommodate a wide clientele. Musical venue’s may include rock, country, alternative, indie, etc. Food is American. Quality varies, as does the service. I have always enjoyed my experiences here. It can get quite crowded, so plan on that. No problem getting a cab if needed. Bottom line… base your visit on the day and time you desire, and plan accordingly. Or just wing it!

Wings were amazing. Staff was nice and attentive. Like many people I’m sure can agree, I never dig super loud music to the point I can’t hear what people are saying. I’d come back on a night with no cover charge.

I go there for the Monday and Wednesday night poker. The food’s ok, but somewhat inconsistent. Believe it or not, I think the salads are the best thing on the menu… both the fajita salad and chef’s salad are loaded with meat. Negative…when the servers are in a bad mood, expect attitude. Sometimes after I order food the first time around, it’ll be a half hour before I hear from the server, and then they sometimes roll their eyes and act like they’re doing you a favor. Heard the same from others. Good place to be for Monday Night Football and important sports games, though!

Great food, relatively inexpensive booze, very large, open atmosphere(can get very loud at times), and a large outdoor, covered smoking/dinning/drinking area. The place is definitely well worth your time when visiting Frederick and it’s close enough to hotels you could walk to get to it!

The Amish Outlaws play here and we love it. It takes us 3 hours to get here, but it’s worth every minute. Always a great time! I suggest getting the appetizer sampler. It’s fantastic. Always love to shoot some pool too!

WyldeFire — should have never left their parents garage. Prima donna singing — bass too pronounced lead guitar is … Just bad. The keyboard player isn’t bad — unfortunately the other over egotistical band members needed to drown him out. Drummer is good, though not consistently Oh. The BLT I had was really good. :-)

Lol, don’t ask me why, but I really wanted to hate on this place(long story), thing is though I couldn’t find much to complain about. Beer was cold and cheap, the billiard club sandwich I had was great and reasonably priced and the service was cheerful and fast, usually another beer was in front of me just as I was taking the last sip of the one before. Like others have said there are lots of tvs, there doesnt seem to be many spots you could sit or stand at and not be able to see one. And last, but CERTAINLY not least, a band was playing, but not too loud. Just loud enough that you could hear them, but not loud enough that you couldn’t comfortably talk to others around you, sorry but that’s a pet peeve of mine…

Not a bad place to get a beer the food is just ok and pool prices are a bit high. The service is always slow the owners could use a few tips from Bar Rescue. If you plan to stay until closing you always count on Frederick police to be waiting in the parking lot. Been doing it for years. They wait to see who leaves and pull you over for minor inspection violations hoping to get you on a DUI so be careful.

This is one of those bars that has something for everyone. They are a sports bar/pool hall primarily but they also have live music and dancing on weekends(they charge a cover), as well as a patio/smoking area. I’ve only sat at the bar here so I’m not sure what the table service is like. What I like about the bar seating is that the bartenders don’t seem to have an assigned section to work– whoever sees you need something will stop to help you and they’re usually friendly. The drinks are cheap and they tend to be heavy handed with the liquor. Champion has a fairly large menu though it is mostly bar food. I really like the nachos, which are fully loaded with cheese, chili, sour cream, jalapenos, and salsa. I also had a couple of bites of someone’s steak and cheese once and it was pretty good, a lot better than a food court sub anyway. Couple of cool things: they put listings of the day’s football games on the bar so you know which TV to sit in front of and there are two ladies rooms.

As far as atmosphere for a bar & pool hall, this place gets 5-stars. Good bartenders & waitresses, never left me very long with an empty glass! Happy Hour was very nice. There are 16 pool tables which are great but can get pricy as they charge by the hour. The food is typical bar food. It’s very good for bar food! I had the English Burger & onion rings. Very yummy!!!

Went here a few weeks ago with a couple of guys from work. It is a sports bar. The waitress really struggled with my drink order; I ordered a rusty nail, it is my go to drink. She first told me they didn’t have the stuff to make it. Then she said they found the vodka… errrr, no vodka in a rusty nail. But eventually they got it right. We got several appetizers to share and they were all really good. They have several pool tables, and there were a good number of people playing. We just sat and talked and drank and ate. All in all, not a bad spot.
