I had a hair cut with Carrie, who has been a hair stylist for 20 years. She has a lot of knowledge about hair and knew the right length to cut off to make my hair have body and health again. She gave me a fantastic haircut with layers for $ 55 (long hair). Even the gal who shampooed me made me feel like a queen it felt that great.
After our session, Carrie told me about the products she used and suggested I purchase at some point. I am so glad she told me about these as I want my hair to look like this every day!

This place is awesome and probably the reason I have been a client for over 10 years! Nicole is an amazing stylist whether you want amazing color, have long or short hair she does an amazing job! I have currently lived back in NW Washington DC since 2008 and I still make regular trips up to this salon because the entire team in the salon, the experience and Nicole make it all very worth it! The customer service you receive here is top notch and everyone is professional as well as super friendly! All of these reasons and much more are the reason I can’t go anywhere else and gladly make a 45 minute trip up from DC to this Salon always. They offer nail and other salon services that I hear are equally awesome! So definitely check them out, you will be delighted and Avenue West will be your new favorite place!

I’m usually really picky about who I let touch my hair because I have curly hair and some stylists just don’t know how to straighten or style my hair type. I went out on a limb after several years of doing it myself so
I came here as a walk-​in. I wanted a gloss, hair mask, a cut and style. My stylist was named Nicole who was totally awesome and did a great job! She made me feel comfortable and made my hair look fabulous for a party I was going to. I needed my nails done and spray tan and the staff referred me to some of the best local places. Everyone here was so nice and helpful. And the price is reasonable. For services that day I paid $ 85. Which isn’t too bad for a couple times a year. I definitely recommend this place and have now found my new stylist :)
