Pretty standard greasy spoon. Super engaging, friendly, entertaining wait staff … had to look around to make sure I wasn’t being filmed for one of those reality TV, restaurant type shows, LoL. Lot’s of big, flannel/ball cap wearing, construction type regulars, always a good sign, :). The three egg breakfast special is unique in that it comes with all ham vs ham, bacon, sausage like the competition. I can dig it, :). You get the pineapple ring too, grilled … not too many places do that anymore and is actually my favorite part of the meal, ;). Optional American Fries as well. Noticed bean & ham soup served daily, something else that sets them apart from the competition, so I had a big bowl … yum! :)

This is a little gem, great food wonderful staff. If you want it is probably on the menu. Makes his own soups. The owner takes pride in the establishment and tries to get to know everyone. He is a man with a huge heart and does special breakfast at Christmas with Santa takes pictures of each child and then next time you come in they are on the counter for you to pick up.

Went for breakfast, just average, not bad, not good… but I probably will go to a local coney next time.

Yes, I used to recommend this hole-in-the-wall Roseville restaurant to everyone because they simply had the best omelettes, anywhere. Not so anymore. I used to brag how consistent the food was here. You couldn’t get a bad meal. Not tru now. What happened Liz’s? It take years to win over loyal customers and just one bad meal to lose them forever. Our hash browns were burnt, almost black on the outside and greasy and under-cooked on the inside. Lynn got the ham and cheese omelette which has always been outstanding and the cheese wasn’t even melted inside? Say it ain’t so! I even noticed the coffee tasted different, not as good. What’s up!!! We may try it again but, I’m a little bit nervous about it now. Oh, I almost forgot. I usually get my eggs scrambled and they have always been perfect. This time I ordered them over easy and was shocked to see a hair on one of my yolks. Oh man, giving Liz’s a bad review is like putting my favorite dog to sleep. I’m really sad.

I ate there over a week ago and can’t figure out why I waited this long to Unilocal about it! What a meal! I ordered Liz’s Famous Ham Breakfast & it was great. 3 pieces of grilled ham atop a pile of hash browns, 3 large eggs cooked to order, a couple slices of toast, and a slice o’ pineapple over the ham. I don’t remember the price, but I remember it truly was a bargain. Service was a little slow in taking my order, but after that, it was lightning fast. I traveled by so many times over the years. Now I know why there are always so many cars in the parking lot!

My girls and I went there to pick up some carry out breakfast for the family. The staff was very friendly and courteous. We ordered and the food came up quick and hot. The food was tasty, nothing spectacular, but very good. It is a local diner and as the other reviewer said it doesn’t pretend to be anything else. I wasn’t that impressed with the«world famous» ham but as I said everything was good. I plan to go back again.

Liz’s Ham Café does not pretend to be anything it’s not — it’s a local greasy-spoon that happens to serve up the best omelets around. Try the western omelet, simply the best! The coffee is pretty good too.
