Chucky Cheese meets Asia in Kentucky? Oh boy. We drove all around Franklin as we were overnight on a road trip. We walked into one place that was recommended by the hotel. The floors were all wet, bathroom doors propped open with fans on, commodes in full view of the buffet and we walked back out. The BBQ place we were interested in was closed. We drove into the downtown square and the coffee shop place was closing as it was 6:30 pm. Not much else nearby to choose from so we saw the Hollywood Grill. The fun center is separated from the restaurant section by a door way, but there are games and skii ball and stuff to keep the kids busy. Ok, the good thing we noticed was there were Asian Americans cooking Asian food. There were 2 servers and a helper. Helper was Asian, servers were not. Fine. One server was preggers, but running rings around the other. We had the other who said she could«handle» another table. Um, not so much. Slow slow slow and slower. Especially when getting our ticket. The food was… Pot stickers were not house made and were deep fried. More Gyoza than pot sticker. My husband ordered some sort of thai noodle dish. It was not so great. My lemon grass chicken was not so great. Together they actually tasted pretty good. I thought the lemon grass chicken should/would come with rice, but it did not and honestly it would have taken too long to get some. The iced tea was really really weak. I can’t imagine what this place gets like when it gets really crowded. So so food, slow service, but an exercise in patience and kind of amusing in a twilight zone kind of way.
