I have eaten here several times. I enjoy the down home family atmosphere. Yes, the food does take longer than a fast food joint to get to you, but it has been cooked to order. It is worth the wait. I’ve had the pizza, fried chicken and meatball hero. The chicken was still hot when I ate the last piece. I will continue to go back to try a different menu item.

Best pizza in Franklin wv. Yeah, and I love being ripped off for a dollar to use the modern convenience of a debit/credit card. Service is sub par.

My boyfriend and I, weary travelers on the way to a family reunion, stopped in here for lunch as we were passing through Franklin, WV. As we step inside, we’re greeted by screaming children, as well as screaming adults. Evidently everyone inside was related to each other, so I imagine it’s a pretty normal scene to have yelling and running around between the patrons and the employees. Seriously, this place was a madhouse. We stepped up to the counter, ordered two waters, pizza and spaghetti, and the woman waiting on us told us to sit anywhere. In an attempt to avoid the chaos and children running around, we sat down on the far side of the restaurant. And in doing so, I swear they forgot about us. I watched a few other people come in(either relatives or friends), sit down at the counter, and get food. And then someone else. And all this time, we haven’t even received our waters. After about a half hour of waiting, a kid came out with our food, grunted at us, and left. Eventually the woman who took our order came by, asking if we wanted drinks. Yes, lady, yes! The water you promised us forty-five minutes ago! As for the food: it was okay. I was actually really pleasantly surprised by the pizza: the crust was a really interesting mix of kind of thin and crunchy, but still soft and buttery. It was somewhat reminiscent of Pizza Hut crust, just not as thick. The garlic bread was also pretty tasty. The spaghetti left a lot to be desired, though, and I’m pretty sure it was what they used to serve in elementary school, just in a bigger portion. Honestly, this whole place left a lot to be desired. My advice: if you want some pizza, you could do okay here, just order takeout.
