wow. just wow. We tried the 100 layer and vegan donuts. Before I jump on the 100 layer bandwagon, I want to say that I was thoroughly impressed with the vegan donut. My husband and I tried the cherry rhubarb, just to try it, and the texture was similar to a regular donut, but a bit thicker. The flavor was great, icing not too sweet, but tart and delectable! We tried the vanilla crème and chocolate sea salt 100 layer donuts. I think my favorite was the chocolate sea salt, again not too sweet and the texture was just right! I loved the texture and the oh-so-many layers to that donut! I just wish that Five Daughters would sell something savory as well to balance the sweetness of their donuts!

I walked in to The Factory for my first time this Saturday, and am so thankful for the kind gentleman that said I must be there for the donuts at Five Daughters… He informed me they take 3 days to make and then I saw the line and knew I had to try it out. I’ve never been so happy to stand in a line for donuts before! They were absolutely delicious(I will say it was very hard to pick — so I grabbed three). Next time I’m in the area, I’ll be making sure to swing back by!

I had a cronut(or 100 Layer Donut, since that name is trademarked or something) from Five Daughters Bakery at a party that Lindsey threw, before they had a storefront. You could get them at a local coffee shop or two, I think. But they were so successful that their business exploded with TWO dedicated locations, one in 12South and one in the Factory in Franklin. Five Daughters has a lot to offer, including many different cronuts, vegan and paleo donuts, and the reason I sought them out at the Factory, a Kouign-amann.(I liken them to the DKAs at Dominique Ansel, who created the original cronut… Five Daughters is just as good!) Theirs is called the«Quinn», and it’s delightful. Better than any cronut I’ve had anywhere, in my opinion. I recommend it, and I love seeing great local businesses coming into the Factory because I felt like it was fizzling for a while.

We paid $ 47 for a dozen donuts and I think it was worth every penny. First of all, they call them 100 layer donuts. I’m not sure how that is different from a cronut at all, but I find that fascinating. The website says it takes 3 days to make. They need to make more. Originally we were going to come at about 2:30 p.m. on a Friday, but they were down to one type of donut! We ended up going Saturday at about 10 a.m. I’m glad we did, because we tried every type of 100 layer donut they had(+ one paleo and two cinnamon buns). Now, I am a stingy person at heart, so I balked at the $ 47 price tag. But after biting into their decadent treat, I couldn’t fault them for the price. My favorite had to be the vanilla cream. There was frosting on the top and a delicious filling. Other favorites were the chocolate sea salt and the nutella. The cinnamon buns were also very good. If you want to go healthy, though I’m not sure really how healthy it is, they had 3 types of paleo donuts. They were pretty good, but I say go big or go home. You order the donuts and then wind around to pay. There is no place to sit, but that stops you from being seen jamming your mouth full of donuts. There is one ledge at a window if you want to stand and stare at people salivate over donuts. They also have coffee available. You have got to try this place out. I originally thought how are 6 of us going to finish 12 donuts, but I am so glad we didn’t get less.

Good little shop! They have a nice selection of paleo and vegan doughnuts for those with intolerances. Make sure you bring some water with you though if you go or else you’ll end up buying a bottle.

These are the most flaky and delicious cronuts I’ve ever had! They had so many different flavors, I got hot chocolate, maple, and chocolate mint to share with my friend and they were all delicious! These cronuts are what every cronut should strive to be

Hit them up today for the first time after the Franklin Farmers Market.(Same location) Son has serious dairy allergies, so we were so excited to try a few of the Vegan, 1 paleo and one of their«Quins.» The vegan were the best vegan doughnuts I’ve ever had!!! Tasted better than a well done normal doughnut. Not greasy, not overly sweet, you can taste their wonderful flavors. Thumbs up from me and the four year old. Cranberry was amazing! The Quin… transported me back to France,(and I’m lucky to know some French pastry chefs) what goodness this thing exudes! Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the flavors. The paleo was a nice treat, for those subjecting themselves to paleo, good flavor and texture. So glad I live a bike ride away from this hot spot! Lucky me!

This was my first visit yesterday. Ive heard so many good reviews about this place. I ordered the maple cardamom doughnut, apple fritter and a staple flavor vanilla cream doughnut. The cronut flavor and texture was perfect. The layers were fluffy and soft. The flavor of the icing was good, but the combination of the cream filled center and the icing made it a little too sweet for me. The apple fritter was very good as well. It had real apples inside. For what it was, I felt like the pricing was a little much. It was $ 14.00 for 2 cronuts and a fritter. I feel like I can get a little more from other bakeries around town for the same price. Overall I really liked this place. Glad I finally tried a cronut because I’ve been to other coffee shops and they were always sold out. I would definitely return to try other specialty flavors.

I’ve tried cronuts before in New York and thought that they were pretty overrated — then I tried Five Daughters Bakery. These cronuts are incredible! They’re super moist and fluffy and not dry like other places. The flavors are all really great too — I especially love their salted milk chocolate. Among the best donuts I’ve ever tried.

Well… Yum! They were very good donuts, unfortunately way over priced. $ 5.50 for 1 donut. That seems steep. Should come with a free coffee or milk at that price

Oh my cronut! Listen, the first time I heard of this wizardry, I knew I had to have it. I love donuts and I love croissants but to mesh them together would be crazy good, right? RIGHT. My husband and I drove out to Franklin on Saturday for an estate sale and thought it would be the perfect time to head over to the factory and try«the best donuts I’ve ever had» — everyone who has ever had a cronut. The line was out the door, and wrapped around a roped off section along the outside of the bakery. The wait surprisingly wasn’t terribly long. We chose 4 different«100 layer» cronuts, 1 jelly filled donut, a box of cronut holes, 1 egg & cheddar biscuit, 1 molnar: a fried egg and cheese croissant(no bacon), and 2 waters. Up until this moment, I have never in my life spent $ 41 at a bakery. Having said that, EVERYTHING was delicious and the staff were all incredibly nice. These miracle donuts were not only layer upon layer of light and fluffy croissant, but also STUFFED with whipped, creamy heaven. And don’t even get me started on the friggin fried egg croissant. Oh boy. I believe my exact words were«out of this world.» We are never really in Franklin, but from what I’ve heard, you can find these goodies in various coffee shops around Nashville, including barista parlor and ugly mugs. I mean I guess if I HAVE to, I can go out and double check on that last part. Okay, okay. I’ll do it.

There are some foods that may not be at the top of the health conscious diet, but are so good they just make life worth living. Regular donuts are simply not worth it. These donuts are«so» worth it. And for the health conscious they even make a paleo donut. This place is a food(and life) lover’s destination.

HOWCANANYTHINGBETHISDELICIOUS?!? Been eating all varieties of these cronuts in Nashville(at Crema and Ugly Mugs). I’ve been a donut snob for a long time, which basically means I don’t eat donuts ’cause they’re usually just not worth it. I now have a reason to resume donuting. THANKYOU.

Holy freaking delicious donut, cronut, whatever this sweet sultry sexual seduction of a donut is, it’s a dream for any donut lover. Not sure which one I chose, nor did the dudes at the coffee place, however I asked my magic Unilocal ball to lead my taste buds… My Interpretation: Its soft pillowy outer layer rolled in a sweet sea salty grit & topped with a milk chocolate icing that hit me with a wave of fantasy– then — then just in time, the cream erupted out like mount Vesuvius like I owed it money, sending me into a paralytic state. This was when I heard fireworks and Chris Isaac playing in the background. Needless to say it was love at first bite. Thank you for such a remarkable donut! You can always taste passion in something people love & care about. Never stop baking, never !

So I will self-proclaim(and I guess disclaim) myself as a HUGE fan of their donuts. Their paleo donuts are delicious, their 100 layer donuts are a huge hit among all of my peers and office mates… and honestly what got me hooked on their goods. Imagine layers of flaky, fresh joy with a sweet – but not overpowering – flavors of the doughnut in your mouth. I know it can be hard to find a donut sometimes at their sellers(to my knowledge they do not have a direct from the bakery walk in buy… but you can get them to cater and it’s worth it) since they’re expanding their kitchen, but Honest Roasters almost always have their baked treats. And if that isn’t enough to woo you… check out their website/story…they aren’t just called five daughters without a sense of purpose and they definitely know how to transcend that love and affection into one tasty confection :)
