While on a road trip, my friend and I were hoping to get a little authentic taste of Kentucky, and this was the last good spot we could see near the border. The atmosphere was a very homely one, and the offerings authentic to the setting. It was exactly what we were looking for. The pulled pork was great and the potato salad a delightfully unique medley. Kind service as well; an overall positive experience!

Not a good place to come if you’re hungry or in a hurry, since since the establishment is no longer open and the building is posted as available for rent. Too bad, since the food was decent and the service was friendly the few times I was in there. Sadly, there seems to be a lot of turnover in Franklin eateries. A significant number of the local restaurants for which Unilocal has posted reviews no longer exist. Apparently Unilocal doesn’t take too kindly to reviews that point out that a restaurant no longer can be discussed in the present tense, but I figured I’d try one more time on the odd chance that it saves somebody a wasted trip(even if it’s just the couple of miles from the Interstate and back.)
