The BBQ is usually off the hook. But depending on who is working it will determine the quality of how the food is made. The white sauce is fantastic and really good on the BBQ nachos. The wings are huge and very good. The ribs are great, so is the turkey. But for me the pork is the star of the show.

My company decided to order lunch here, so we got a whole lotta food: BBQ beef, BBQ chicken, BBQ pork, cornbread, potato salad, BBQ beans, all kinds of cobbler. Wow! Everything was good(I ate so much, it was soooo good), except I didn’t try the cornbread. the loaf didn’t look appetizing, sorry! Cool thing about this place is that the restaurant is not even really a restaurant. it’s a very small spot where you can order through an order/pick up window. I would suggest ordering ahead, because when we went, there were a few cars lined up. It was nice to have our order ready to go. We enjoyed the food outside on a pretty day, my last day in TN! Thanks!

Stopped in today for ribs after church and cornbread. I am a KCBS judge and judge barbeque from April to October, but I had a craving today. I didn’t expect competition level, but I was pretty disappointed by what was given. It’s about noon and the ribs are way over cooked. That’s bad, but the biggest problem was that the silverskin on the back of the rack hadn’t been removed when the rack was prepped. That’s unacceptable to me if I’m paying $ 22 a rack without sides. The cornbread was good, but you need to heat it up since it arrives cold. The teenage girl that took my order was none too friendly, but the teenage guy who gave me my food was great. I debated between a 2 star and 3, but I’ll give then their benefit if the doubt.

Ordered the 1lb brisket. Truly melts in your mouth. Easily two meals for a big guy. Can’t wait to finish it this evening.

When I’m near this spot and its lunch time, this is where I grab a bite. Super friendly people and the sandwiches are great. Love the turkey with white sauce. Wish they had a sit down place, but I will continue to grab lunch here, highly recommend.

We LOVE the smoked chicken with the white sauce. Don’t have much more to say than it is delicious! We get a whole one and slowly warm the second half for a second meal. And did I say to try the white sauce? We love it. Great BBQ sauce that isn’t sweet. Great flavor.

Staff is really friendly and it’s affordable. We are new to the area… and this place is near your home. We ordered pulled pork and chicken. Everyone liked it. And it’s very affordable.

It’s nothing fancy, heck it’s just a little shack on Hwy 96. We got the family package of bbq chicken which comes with a pound of meat, a pack of buns, and 2 sides. Their sauce is pretty decent, and the spicy bbq sauce is actually spicy. Not open late at night.

The beans are bland but the slaw(mayo and vinegar) were both good. Enjoyed the pulled pork and pork ribs. The cornbread was good dipped in BBQ sauce. Would go again. The guys that worked there were«hot».

Really live their smoked bologna and huge BBQ potatoes. Very reasonable. Party packs are a great value. Chess squares are good. Brunswick stew was ok.

I wish I could report better. We picked up the brisket family pack. There was a charred bark, but no smoke ring, stringy and tough texture. Chunks — not sliced like a typical brisket, it looked more like a pot roast. I tasted a piece and had to spit it out. The after-taste may have been the worst aftertaste of any food I have ever eaten. Greasy, burnt tasting, and just plain bad. I tried a piece from the inside. Not as bad, but still couldn’t choke it down and spit it out. We ended up throwing the whole pound out.

Grabbed 2lbs of wings for the family on the way home. They were a hit! Next time though, I’ll get 3lbs for 2 adults and 2 young boys.

The BBQ was very dry, other stuff was just so so and the packaging smelled like mop water. The smell alone completely ruined our appetite. Not impressed.

I was going out to Fairview to visit my Granny on Easter and promised that I would bring BBQ for our Easter lunch. Then I realized OHSHIT, IT’S EASTER and NOTHINGISOPEN. Stroud’s was closed. So I was about to call up BBCutie at the gas station on 100HWY to see if they were open when I saw the sign for BB’s BBQ. I saw a truck in the drive through and whipped my car in immediately. So this place is just a shack. You drive up and order at the window. I got 1lb meat, New Brunswick stew, buns, and 2 sides(green beans and slaw). And a diet Coke to cure my Easter hangover. Got the BBQ home and started eating. The BBQ was A-OK. Nice smoky flavor, not bad. The sauce had some funny taste in it(couldn’t quite place what it was) that made me not a fan, but the hot sauce was much better. Sides were average. And I had never had the New Brunswick stew but I really was digging that too. Overall a totally A-OK place to get BBQ, especially in a pinch on a Sunday… and Easter Sunday at that.

Pretty good bbq place. Main reason for the 4 stars is attitude. Staff was really friendly and accommodating. The BBQ was good but laked a bit in flavor but overall it was tender and tasty. Was on the run so just had chips with it. Service was fast, price was right and I will defenitley be stopping in again and again. oh, the sweet tea was tea flavored with suger, not sugar flavored with tea. They know how to make a good sweet tea!

The BBQ is dry, my order was wrong and the food lacks any creativity… I love BBQ but this place is really not worth your hard earned dollars… Even the chain BBQ joints have better quality than this place.

Neither the best BBQ nor the worst BBQ in the city of Nashville(and surrounding areas since this is technically in Historic Downtown Franklin). BB’s Bar-B-Q is located off Highway 96 on the way out toward the Natchez Trace parkway or toward The Farm at Natchez Trace(our favorite dog place). It is a little shack on the side of the road where you just drive through and grab your food. Meats are served by the ½ lbs., 1 lbs., or by the sandwich, and ribs are sold by the half rack or full slab. We elected to choose ½ lbs. of pulled pork and 1 full slab of ribs. For our side items we got cornbread and their baked beans. The pulled pork was honestly a little dry but the smoky flavor was there that I would come to expect. Their sauce(hot was our choice) did not do much to cover up the smoky nature(good); it is just unfortunate that it was a bit dry. The full slab of ribs was«fall off the bone» cooked which, according to BBQ judges, is «backyard stuff». Technically, you should bite into ribs and it should leave a teeth mark where you bit off. So, while convenient to eat as fall off the bone, it is technically incorrect cooking. But, hey, they were A-OK and we ate them. The corn bread was not good at all — just being honest. Anyhow, give it a shot, your pulled pork might not be dry and if you like fall off the bone ribs then you will be pleased. The place is simply A-OK.

This is a true Bar-B-Q joint. This past weekend my girlfriend and I were leaving the pumpkin patch in Franklin and were trying to come up with some lunch ideas. We had decided to try and find some pizza, until we were stopped at a red light on Hwy 98 and saw BB’s Bar-B-Q. Our eyes lit up and we pulled in immediately. This place really is just a shack with a drive-thru. When we first pulled up to the window to order, we didn’t see anyone inside. Our hearts sunk with the thought that they might actually be closed. But, after pulling up to the second window we saw that they were intact opened. We ordered two brisket sandwiches and two pieces of corn white. We didn’t know what corn white was when we ordered it, but soon found out that it was just corn bread. We covered our sandwiches in sauce and dug in. Boy was it delicious! The brisket was a little on the dry side, but the bbq sauce helped solve that problem. We ate every last crumb. Lesson learned? Stop at every Bar-B-Q shack you see.

Okay, so I have to revise my review a little. Being that BB’s is ½ a block from my office and I had to put together a last minute dinner seminar, I decided to give it another shot. Again the meat was dry, but I’ve come to the conclusion that this must be how people like it here because all of it is dried out. I guess that is why there is so much emphasis on the sauce. I personally like the meat, not the sauce, but their’s was decent. The beans still tasted canned and the potato salad wasn’t very good. I didn’t have the cornbread, but since most of it ended up in the garbage can I think I can conclude that it wasn’t very good. So why am I raising it a star, maybe just to be nice, maybe because the staff was very courtious when I pulled up, or maybe I’m just feeling a little generous. Either way, I have concluded that I am not a fan of bar-b-q. It’s just not my thing.
