I’ve been eating here for 4 years now and It’s finally time to write a review. I first discovered China Wok when I was new to the neighborhood back in 2012 and Superstorm Sandy made her way to the area. China Wok was the only place open in the vicinity that was serving food. Amazing! Ok they are not modern. No online ordering. No website. Your basic generic paper menus. But once you put their phone number in your phone in speed dial, who needs all that fancy stuff! Their food is consistent, quick, cheap, and delicious. Everyone that works there is extremely hard-working and they are super friendly. I order at least once a week and they have never taken more than 20 minutes to have the food ready and they have never messed up an order. If I could recommend anything it would be their boneless spare ribs, Broccoli sauteed in brown sauce, and homemade steamed dumplings. Very good! Compared to the rest of the American Chinese restaurants in the area this is definitely be best in my opinion. Give it a try!

I came here just recently because this has been a solid Chinese restaurant for me. The last time I came, I ordered the General Tso’s chicken, which was really good! My friend usually comes here for that, and their boneless ribs, which is also pretty good. This time, I decided to switch things up and try something different, so I went for the shrimp with Lobster sauce. Do yourselves a favor, and don’t order it. Ever. For starters, the sauce didn’t look all that appealing. That was the first strike, but I decided that I’d still give it a try. There were about 5 total pieces of shrimp. To top it off, the sauce lacked flavor, and there were some strange chicken bits in it that tasted weird. No amount of seasoning that I tried to put on it could save this dish. So, long story short, you’re probably safe sticking to the classics. I’d come here again, but probably won’t deviate from my usual. The lady who took our order was very amicable and nice. Also, if you eat-in, you get a complimentary basket of fried noodle chips and sauce.

Made the mistake of ordering in when this place is completely made for takeout. While they have seating and parking available there is no décor or true service or proper utensils for dining in. Nonetheless the staff was very friendly and kind. Perhaps because I am more used to Chinese fusion type of food(i.e. Indian /Chinese mixed) I did not find the quality of the food to be really up to par. The pricing was good as was the quantity but the taste was just not there for me & my guests. Also there are several great options available within the surrounding area that would better suit the taste buds.

Found a bug in my food. Ordered take out based on previous reviews. Good portions and flavors are fine, but clearly not clean if there are bugs in the rice. Place was hopping, but will definitely not be a return visit. Hope I don’t get sick from the food I did eat.

I agree with Reviewer, Nadia B. We tried it for its halal option as halal Chinese is hard to come by, and we liked the Szechuan chicken, vegetable Lomain, and chicken and broccoli. All were good. Loved that there were lots of veggies in all the dishes! Ordered takeout and it was always ready in 10 minutes as they said it would be on the phone.

I definitely think this is solid Chinese food. I liked the Broccoli and Chicken, Szechuwan chicken and lo mein. Their staples were good so I’m sure the rest is also. It is clean and rather popular with their catering also. They offer halal chicken if you ask which already has me sold since that is a dietary requirement. I mention«halal» so it comes up for those searching for halal options– just specify it when you order.

HORRIBLE!!! Service. Took over 90 minutes to deliver my food and I live 5 minutes away. The food was lackluster at best. Had to douse it in sauce to get some taste out of it. When I called to ask about what was taking so long it kept going to voicemail and when I got someone on the phone, they were rude! Find a different delivery spot. Do yourself a favor. P.s: when the food finally arrive it was spilling out the plates. So disappointed!!!

This food is pretty good. My husband and I are very particular about Chinese food. Some restaurants don’t taste well. Also since we are new to the area, it was hard to find one that fit our taste buds. This is the best one we tried so far. My husband had beef and broccoli with a spring roll, while I had shrimp and broccoli. Both of us had pork fried rice as well. The food reminded me of one back home(and that is a good thing.) I have tried other restaurants and they were either over cooked, bland, or left a bad taste in your mouth. This one took the cake. I will try other dishes in the future.

Good Chinese takeout spot, fast delivery. Nothing special, which makes it even better actually. Obviously not your fancy Chinese delivery place, but good enough to satisfy your hangover hunger, or even just a craving for some greasy, but not overly greasy, Chinese delivery. 1. Chicken and Broccoli We(the BF and I) get this at every Chinese place. It’s how we grade how well or great the food is. This one is tasty enough, again nothing special, but definitely fulfills the need for food. It has a good enough amount of chicken to broccoli ratio, and served with pork fried rice is yummy. 2. Egg drop wonton noodles Again, something I always get at every Chinese restaurant. Not overly great, wontons not overly thick which I like. The added plus, it’s served with the CRUNCHYFRIEDNOODLES! Not the kinda that come in a plastic bag, but the paper wrapper that shows they were newly fried. OMGYUM 3. Egg rolls Eh. Not that I wouldn’t eat it, but it’s just an egg roll. Wouldn’t order it separate In short, it’s probably the best Chinese delivery in the area. If you were looking for something better, head over into Edison. But if u want something quick and delivered to your door, definitely order from here.

Ordinary Chinese food. Amount of food is big however taste is barely make it to just alright Chinese food. Slightly better than microwave ones from supermarket. Not like other Chinese restaurant, they take forever to get ready. Reason being, one I the Chinese restaurant near by closed so they gets all the traffics of franklin park and Kendall park area. Always back up by orders and people waiting for pick up. Too many people only one Chinese restaurant that is the problem but people who works there are nice and friendly.

Great service and great food as always! It was part of Chu’s Kitchen(family owned restaurant). My family has been going there for more than 20 years. Now I order from them when I’m in town.

I’ve been eating from this place for the past 8 years. I would have to say that the food and the service here is good as well as the price.
