They are no longer open to the public. The door features a sign that lists the stores where you can find their products… They should remove café from their name then. Disappointing.

Every time I think about cupcakes, I remember the amazing, moist, delicious and sweet taste of OMG… It’s Gluten Free cupcakes. I have never had a better cupcake. End of story.

Great products — I tried the lemon muffin, chocolate chip cookie, cinnamon roll and chocolate cupcake. Everything was really good except the cinnamon roll– it was suuuuper dry and lacked any real overall experience was not as impressive considering they had NOTHINGFRESHLYBAKED available. Everything was frozen. The bakery in turn just smelled like cardboard and paint… no warm, sweet smells. I also was sad I had to wait for my goodies to thaw before I got to try them. Again– really yummy — just lacking in every other area.

OMG is housed in a new suburban strip mall, most of the storefronts not yet filled. From the looks of the board displaying testimonials and a list of retailers that carry its products, OMG must put out a volume much larger than your typical neighborhood bakery. The little café fronts the larger bakery, and features a counter, a refrigerated case, a chip and cookie rack, and some tables and chairs. The counter guy was friendly, but woefully uninformed for someone working in a specialty business. I wondered what was in the flour used for the bread, and my question about ingredients elicited a puzzled look. So I asked, «Is the flour for the bread made from rice, potato, tapioca, amaranth, teff, or something else?» «Let me ask,» he replied, disappearing into the back. Eventually, I was told that the bread for my turkey sandwich would be rice-based. Food was served on a plate with chips, and canned soda. The GF bread part of the turkey sandwich and the GF-breaded corn dog both were very good. Otherwise, there’s nothing special about the café part of this gluten-free adventure. Bottom line: very good gluten-free baked goods, but don’t make a special trip just for the café. You’ll probably do just as well picking up all the fixings at Whole Foods, and making your own lunch.

I come here often with a friend and her 2 year old son who both have celiac — I myself have a gluten intolerance and try to eat GF as much as possible. I eat GF all around the city and I have to say, their products are some of the best in their category. Their brownies are so incredibly rich, fudgy, and dense, you’d never know it was gluten free. Their chocolate chip cookies are huge with a great crumbly cookie texture — crisp around the edges, but soft in the middle. I also LOVE their banana chocolate chip muffins. The portion for the lasagna is a little small for the price, but it does taste great. The frozen one though, does not hold up well between assembly, freezing, and reheating — stick to eating this in house. The bread has a good chewy texture and slightly sweet taste — not as dense as many other gluten free breads. The pizza is nothing special — lots of other great gluten free options in the Southside

Solid menu choices, prompt service, and they carry gluten free as well as some dairy free options now. Convenient location off I-80. Frozen lasagna, pizzas, and other G-free items for take-home preparation available as well.

I came here yesterday to use a Groupon I bought without realizing the location of this place. I’m from the northwest suburbs, so driving down to the south suburbs took a good 45 minutes, but it was well worth it for the gluten free corn dogs! My boyfriend and I ordered two corn dogs, the 6 inch cheese pizza, and a cookie. The corn dog was by far the best item! My boyfriend is not gluten free, and he assured me they tasted just like the real thing. The corn breading was a little thicker than I remember from glutenated, factory processed corn dogs back before my gluten free days, but somehow that made them taste even better. The breaded was a little crunchy like corndogs should be, and it was levels above the gluten free frozen corn dogs at the grocery store whose breading falls apart if you try to pick them up with the stick. Seriously, these corn dogs were so good I had to buy another two to take home! For everyone who has said good things about their gluten free pizza, I’m sorry, but have you tried other gluten free pizzas??? This one was by no means the worst, but it was pretty darn close! The base was obviously made of cornmeal, and it was crunchy and thin like a cracker. The cheese and sauce did a pretty good job of disguising the awful crust, but it still reminded me of the cardboard gluten free pizzas from the grocery store. Even Uno’s, a chain restaurant, has a much better gluten free pizza! The cookie left a slight aftertaste, and while it was definitely fluffy and chewy, I’ve had better gluten free chocolate chip cookies elsewhere. With two out of the three items being kind of disappointing, I don’t think I’d dare venture out into the menu more. However, I will definitely hunt down those corn dogs at my local stores. Also, they have a map behind their counter of all the places their products are sold, and OMG’s products are definitely available across the nation! Disneyland and Disney World even sell their gluten free goods! I’m going to have to remember that when I go to Disney next!

Seriously. OMG It’s Gluten Free actually IS the perfect name for this place. We had it on our list of gluten free businesses to visit on a road trip recently, and I am so glad we went. They were closing in 30 minutes when we finally arrived. But we were treated with the best service ever. You walk in to signage, samples, a freezer case with gluten free stuff to take home, and then can proceed to the counter to place an order. They have just the right amount of options for anyone with an appetite. I was very impressed with the two people we spoke to while we were there. And I was thrilled with my vegan gluten free pizza, AND some absolutely addictive chocolate chip cookies. My dining partner(not gluten free) ate his food so fast that I now can no longer remember what he got. But I’m almost certain it was a gluten free lasagna that he said he would buy and eat again gladly. Thank you OMG… It’s Gluten Free for promoting this wonderful business. A dedicated gluten free haven for people like me. I don’t know when we will be back in that part of Illinois again. But I am going to be on the lookout for their products elsewhere for the time being. But if you are near Chicago, and have a car — I would definitely suggest checking it out.

Since finding out I’m allergic to gluten, I’ve had to give up so many of my favourite baked goods. cinnamon rolls, brownies, muffins… I managed to be able to get all three of these and they are all AMAZING. The staff is super nice, too and it’s great to know that whenever I have a craving, it’s just 10 minutes away. I only tried their sweet stuff but can’t wait to try everything else! mmm corn dogs!

Found OMG It’s Gluten Free via Unilocal and couldn’t have been more pleased! I sampled a few of my favorite things that I’ve been missing since going gluten free. — Pizza — Thinner crust, definitely not Chicago Style, but still very tasty, even when heated up later. I liked that the crust was on the sweeter side. — Banana Chocolate Chip Muffin — Pretty straight forward. Good size muffins and the flavor you’d expect. — Chocolate Chip Cookies — I’ve tried a few different brands and bakeries out in L.A. where this sort of thing is common, but was surprised to find that the best(so far) gluten free chocolate chip cookies were just 10 minutes away from where I grew up. They were big, soft, chewy, and delicious. Can’t go wrong! They also had a notable amount of other items that I didn’t try including an assortment of frozen items for take home purposes. Maybe next time. If you’re gluten free, don’t hesitate to check this place out!

As one who suffers from Celiac, needless to say i was excited when i heard of this place. Stopped by for lunch on the go as lunch is the most difficult meal for me to make. I had the roast beef sandwich and it was so amazing!!! The gluten free bread was SO soft and fresh!!! I also ordered a chocolate chip cookie and it was so big… very soft and delicious!!! I can’t wait to go back! I will most def be trying everything on the menu! Gluten free isn’t just a fad, for some of us it is a way of life that is REQUIRED. So whoever the bad reviewer was below, please disregard their comments. This place was so good and gluten free will always be pricey… so don’t let prices fool you. You will be so satisfied with the food!

This place is worth the drive for my fellow Celiacs! Definitely take the other review with a grain of salt. If you’re a Celiac you know how hard it is to eat out, especially in the south suburbs. Granted, this is not really a restaurant, more of a bakery/café. The bread here is right up there with Udi’s and Rudi’s. The turkey sandwich I had was probably the best gluten free sandwich I’ve had to date. It was served with apples, which was a nice, healthy touch. The cupcakes were pretty decent. We took some lasagna to go, but haven’t tried it yet. The northside has Rose’s Bakery Café and the southside deserves a place, too. Thanks, OMG!

Gluten Free is all the rage it seems, so I wasn’t surprised to see a gluten free restaurant pop up. I came here with a fellow dietitian who has a self-proclaimed gluten sensitivity. It has such a specific food profile that I’m not sure this restaurant will last. The spinach lasagna was really delicious — although very small for $ 7. A loaf of bread was $ 5. They also had a few muffins out to purchase and a freezer and refrigerator full of items to take home. The hot items on the menu were lasagna, a sandwich, pizza and chicken parmesan. That was about it. Kind of disappointing. The trip to the bathroom was down a dark hallway filled with old boxes and merchandise. The bathroom was dirty and had random personal items in it. Kind of strange. They should remember where the customer goes and keep those places especially clean. I’d definitely frequent this place if I knew someone with gluten sensitivities or celiac’s disease but for everyone else — it’s just overpriced food.

The chef at this location is the best, he has created Gluten-free items that still are tasty and hard to believe they are healthy. I personally enjoy the large pizza w/sausage and dairy cheese. Its awesome, we have tried other items from the menu, but the pizza is the winner. They offer pre-made options for you to take home or call ahead and they can make it fresh for you before you arrive. This is a family run, family friendly location and offers options for those youngsters who like«Kids meals» The décor is trendy and modern. They have bottled water and cans of varies soda, or byod. What more can be said this place«Rocks!»
