Nice, friendly little brunch place my college roomie & I hit up as one of the more veggie-friendly(possibly ONLY veggie-friendly) places in Frankfort. It’s pretty standard breakfast/brunch diner fare minus the grease of a greasy spoon. The ambience is family diner more than café, clean & pleasant. They had a nice selection, though we were disappointed they were out of broccoli – the 1st ingredient in the veggie skillet – but my friend thought it was still pretty good. The benedict florentine was tasty, too, and both dishes were good-sized portions.

Ay Chihuahua! Can someone please tell me what they put in those heidi cakes? My taste buds have been violated beyond reason. We Sat. Place is clean, open and feels clean. The staff is polite and helpful. Quick service. Not overly decorated with dusty things on walls — hate that. Friendly. We Ate I had two eggs over medium, corned beef hash, toast and heidi cakes. The best part heidi cakes are the tops with crispy edges, light and airy — very fresh tasting — and just amazing. I need to go there again. The people I was with had coffee(we chihuawees are not allowed to drink coffee!) but they said it was good. Very good. And the staff attentive to have it refilled. We took cream of chicken soup home for other members of the familia and they loves it –even let me have a little. SOOOGOOD! Ay — los banos. You know, this place is so clean I’d gladly eat the leftover crumbs off the floor. Now THAT’s clean. Can’t wait to go again. WOOFWOOFWOOF!

GOFOR A SALAD… they have 2 sizes: small or large, but the small is more than enough! try the strawberry chicken salad, or the Dimitri Salad… mmmm. the only complaint I have is the 2 soups on Sunday: lemon chicken or crem of chicken with rice… too similar! how about French Onion or Navy Bean? great omlettes… finally, a cook who understands FLUFFY

We live blocks from Plaza Café and go there nearly every weekend. They know us by name, seat us so we get our favorite server, it is that«Cheers» kind of place for us, where everybody knows your name. We love the breakfast dishes here, particularly the Eggs Benedict, the Western Omelet and the Plaza Special. The Plaza Special is a great deal, I upgrade to small juice and get 3 Turkey sausage. Yum! If you love French toast they have several really good varieties but the Plaza Special is the most for your money. The Omelets are all really big with fresh ingredients and my husband gets his hash browns with onions mixed in, delish. Coming to Plaza Café just makes our Sunday morning, we read the paper, see people, have a great breakfast and visit the Farmers’ Market. People who walk or ride the Plank Trail come in dressed in workout clothes and families all dressed up after church mingle and everyone is welcome. Now if they could just get fresh squeezed OJ, I would give it five stars.

We live in the city but go to Frankfort often. If you are looking for a great diner experience: good food, good service, and reasonable price, this is your place. The menu is huge for a small restaurant, but the food quality is very good and tasty. The pancakes are especially good and well made. The egg dishes are made nicely and the portions are generous. You will not leave hungry. I have been a frequent visitor to Frankfort for years having used to live here, but this place completely escaped me until today when I saw people eating inside and investigated. I cannot believe there are more reviews! Note they are open for breakfast and lunch. This is well worth a visit and I highly recommend this friendly café.

Located in the«newer»(i.e. not the historic section) of downtown Frankfort the Plaza Café is just the sort of place you’d expect it to be. Lots of locals coming for good food, friendly staff and prices that are just right. The restaurant itself has an old-time charm… well it certainly does seem to reflect the old-fashioned historic nature of Frankfort, but everything is still pretty new. Cutesy kitcsch on the walls, comfy booths, and a some chairs at the counter too. Then menu is pretty big for a café. LOTS of great breakfast/brunch specials. Eggs. Omlettes. Skillets. Pancakes. Waffles. You name it they’ve got it. There’s a hearty lunch menu to boot with salads and sandwiches galore(the club sandwich is big enough to share or to take home for later).
