Maria did an outstanding job on my mop. It’s been a while since I had the chance to get my hair done and Maria listened to what I wanted, took charge of my crazy locks and turned them into artwork.
Could not recommend her more, great knowledge, professional and very efficient! Thanks Maria will be back!

My hair dresser that I had for years left the salon where she was and I could not find her.
I was desperate for a haircut and color and afraid of going anywhere. After reading on Unilocal the reviews for Juan I decided to go.
I really liked my experience today, Juan is very professional, a good listener, and knowledgeable about cuts, colors and style. The price is moderate, not cheap but not over the top either.

I visited this salon based on Unilocal reviews. Honestly I always have doubts about my hair cut as the hair they look good when styled but do not look good when not styled or after washing But to my surprise this time my hair looks healthy and awesome even after washing or styling Really happy and I highly recommend this salon.

I came to this salon based on the reviews on Unilocal.My cut and highlight was with Maria. She was great! Very thorough consultation, her foil placement was precise and exactly how I wanted them. They use Goldwell color line here– very rich, shiny and conditioning for the hair. Everything was great– I also met the owner Juan, very nice gentleman. If you are in the Framingham area, try them out! I love to see small local businesses like this succeed!

OK there is a reason for my 5 star rating.
I have really curly hair and have never been given a cut which let’s me wear my hair down. Juan gave me such an awesome haircut… Everyone who sees me. Has complimented me and asked me what have I done to my hair… The answer to which is nothing. Just a fabulous haircut by my now favorite stylist. He is also great at setting your hair… Highly recommended!

Maria Luisa has been cutting and coloring my hair for years. I have followed her to a few different salons over the years and I am so glad she ended up here. The owner and his daughters are super nice. The salon is clean and cheerful. Maria Luisa is a wonderful hairdresser. I couldn’t be happier with Sotelo Hair Studio!

I do my hair with Maria Perez for about 12 years, she all ways do a perfect color and cut, I love to change my hair, and this is not a problem for her, she can do my hair hair super blond, brown, black, orange, red, (but I love more her highlights) and my hair is all ways health. This salon is extremely professional, they are friendly great location. All my family go with Maria, my sisters, my mom, my daughter, we so glad to have her. She is the best professional I Have ever met. :)

I have been seeing Jaun Sotelo for about 13 years now. I have followed him to his own business since he left the last salon he worked at. This business has been very successful and I am so happy for the Sotelo Family! Jaun is extremely professional, knowledgeable and a true hair care expert! He always does what you ask for and nothing more, nothing less. He gives excellent cuts and highlights/​color services. My two teenage daughters have started coming to see Jaun and Yanira if she is available. We are so pleased with both of them! They are always prompt, the place is immaculate, great location, big parking lot and friendly staff. :)

Sotelo’s is simply the best! I have been seeing Juan for 13 years and have always received the best haircuts. Everyone there is extremely friendly as well. Would highly recommend it

I recently left my stylist after several years because her prices were sky high and I always seemed to get sucked into paying for more services than I needed. I thought I needed to pay those prices since she used to cut for the 5-​star places along Newbury St. and 5^th Ave.
But I was reading the great reviews on Unilocal for Sotelo and decided to give it a try.
So glad i did! Yanira is excellent! The cuts are on par if not better than the more expensive cuts at the higher-​end swanky salons.
And the atmosphere is relaxed, not constantly pushing me to purchase their salon products.
My entire family now comes here and they’re just as impressed and pleased.

I love this salon! Yanira gives my curly hair the best cuts and she has found the most beautiful shade of blonde for me. I always get compliments on the color.
Besides the great cuts, it’s just a fun place to go. It’s family owned and everyone there is so nice and friendly.
I’ve referred two friends aleady and I will refer more.

I love Juan! I have incredibly crazy curly long hair and he does a fabulous job every time doing exactly what I want. I have him color my hair. I’ve been going to him 3 years now. I have no complaints. Prices are good as well.

I normally don’t write reviews but I had such a bad experience I just had to. First I want to say that I had been to the salon on several occasions already so I wasn’t prepared for the experience I received.
I have been trying to grow out my pixie and had been getting a haircut every few months to avoid the dreaded mullet since the back grows faster than the sides. My hair was finally at a point where it was almost the same length on all side and just wanted to have some of the bulk removed from the sides.
The same person had been cutting my hair the whole time so I had nothing to worry about. WRONG! This girl textured my hair to the point where my chin length bangs are now just past my eyes! A veteran stylist would know that texturizing hair is DIFFERENT than taking off length. Texturizing is taking out weight and blending a cut rather than cutting off more length so you end up with an even shorter cut.
And when I pointed this out to both her and the owner they argued with me and kept telling me that my hair wasn’t that long to begin with and that I didn’t understand what texturizing meant.
I will NEVER go back and would not recommend this place to my worst enemy! Stay clear because is something goes wrong be prepared for a fight.

I really didn’t want to write this review, because this is a mom-​and-​pop establishment and I want to support that, especially given how friendly the owner and his daughters are.
I had my hair cut by one of the daughters a month and a half ago, and this is, without exaggeration, the worst haircut I have ever had in my life. Directions: «give me a trim with long layers and a few long angles in front.» She cut my curly hair with so many front angles, starting at my CHIN LEVEL. Now, I’m no expert on hair but even I know that you do NOT give Jennifer Aniston layers to curly-​haired people.
I now have one layer that has finally grown about an inch or so past my chin, and the next layer is just the rest of my hair that falls, no joke (I measured) 4.5 inches past that. I repeat: there are two layers now — one an inch past my chin and the next one a full 4.5 inches longer. I have never hated a haircut so much in my life. It has looked consistently ugly for a month and a half now.
They broke the cardinal rule of curly hair cuts and I can never, ever go back. I’m not proud of writing a negative review of this family-​owned salon, but I needed to give a fair warning to all in hopes that no one will endure the haircut fiasco that I did.

The customer service is awesome! I’ve never been happier with a hair cut in my life! Yadira was able to cut my hair just how i wanted it! I left feeling like a million bucks!
A little pricey but so worth it!

I am so pleased to have found this salon. I had been going to the same salon for 7+ years and when my old stylist quit it was time for me to find a new hair dresser.
I saw Yanira for a full foil, cut, and blow dry. I have dark blonde hair naturally but keep it light blonde with highlights. Yanira did a really excellent job and the color looks very natural. She also did a really nice job with the cut, taking off a couple inches of dead ends and giving me long layers.
Everyone was very friendly and the salon was bright and clean. The prices are extremely reasonable, and they offered 20% off for new customers. Even without the discount, the services would have been cheaper for a cut and full foil than I used to pay for a cut and partial.

I recently went to try this salon after reading reviews on Unilocal and I’m so glad that I did. My stylist is Yanira and she is amazing. I had my hair dyed and cut and it came out better than I had envisioned. I really loved that she listened to what i wanted and we talked about the process rather than her just jumping in. The salon is very cute and it’s a family atmosphere which made me feel very comfortable. I can’t wait to have my hair done there for my friends wedding.

I tried this salon after reading all the great reviews. I love my haircut and I will return for sure! Everyone was so nice and the salon is new, clean, and beautiful.

Absolutely the most talented stylist around!
I met Juan in the Natick mall after watching him cut my husband’s hair — I was instantly taken by his Edward Scissorhand-​like style and was lucky that he had the next half hour free. The hair cut I received that day was amazing… so much so that I literally walked out of the mall and INTO A CAR because I was checking out my great cut in the reflection of another car. Needless to say, I was impressed. I left my stylist of ten years — and have not looked back. You will LOVE THIS PLACE!
–As an aside, Juan is able to completely camouflage my husband’s receding hair line. GET IN HERE, guys:)

I had a wonderful experience at Sotelo. I brought by daughter in for a cut at the last minute and Juan was nice enough to squeeze her in. She has a really cute graduated bob cut and he did a beautiful job and was so nice to us both. The salon is beautiful and cheery and we were treated very well even though it was just a kids cut. I would love to bring her here from now on and my husband wants to make an appointment for himself too!
