Rita’s Catering Framingham Division

This on-​site restaurant for The Corporate Center has reasonably priced daily specials, is clean, and has great selection.
Food can be hit or miss. Buffalo Chicken Thursday Rocks, great salad bar, and hot/​cold food stations.
Here is what Rita’s can do to earn four stars.
Try harder at customer service. The employees don’t try, are smug, and appear to not even try to listen to what you are requesting (no mayo, hold the onion, extra slice of cheese). They just kinda give you a blank look, hand you your food and say next.
One time I complained because the pasta salad was old and hard. They declined to refund my money because I didn’t bring it up to them the same day I bought it. FYI — the day I bought it I brought my lunch back to the office and didn’t want to walk back to the café to complain.
«you should of brought this to our attention sooner and we would of then been able to do something,» they said. Is 24 hours too long? What happened to the customer is always right? And this was a SIDE of pasta salad.
But here is the worst and a glaring example of how this café gets away with bloody murder because it has a captive audience inside this office building.
Rita charges a reasonable amount for a regular cup of coffee. But if you get flavored coffee they charge DOUBLE. When I say flavored I mean Irish Cream, French Vanilla, and Hazelnut. These are NOT syrups — they are simply regular drip coffee (same as your house or Dunkin). Disgusting Rita’s… you should be ashamed.
Lastly, this store does not believe in pennies. No matter your total at the registrar (and they don’t take credit cards) they round up to the nearest dime. Not a biggie. but annoying.
Overall. I don’t dislike this place enough to get in my car and drive to a local lunch or breakfast spot. But — believe you me — I wouldn’t go there again if I had a choice.
