Periodontal Associates

I went to see Dr. Feuerman of Periodontal Associates based on a Unilocal recommendation. The new office in Newton is nicely decorated. Everyone there was friendly. Including, Dr. Feuerman who is knowledgeable and took the time to explain my options clearly and thoroughly.
There were a couple of minor issues. The assistants had a hard time figuring out how to use the x-​ray machine. Also, there was a little altercation amongst them that the doctor had to intervene during my consultation to sort out. That’s okay, life happens.
On my way out, I paid the $ 175 (which seems high) for my evaluation with my credit card. I was recently reimbursed $ 33 for the evaluation by my insurance (which seems low). After a little digging, I found out Periodontal Associates isn’t part of my insurance network. Maybe I should’ve check this or they should’ve told me. But if I had known, I would’ve gone to an in-​network doctor.
