Awesome food, nice environment and very good service! The dinner and the dessert were fantastic.

When I say everything was great, I mean it! My lover and I walked in and were greeted by an older woman and a younger girl, both very sweet and blonde!!! We were seated quickly. Our server Tim came over and was instantly wonderful and I could already tell I would want to eat him right up along with the calamari we got! Tim L’s smile lit up the area we were in and my heart! My lover Paul got the galo alforno and I got the penne con pollo, both tasty and were in our bellies fairly quick. Tim came and checked on us and offered dessert, to which we of course asked him to be ours! We ended up getting the pana cotta and the lemon cake(which is so light and fluffy). The manager came over during dessert to check on our experience and even bought the dessert for no reason at all! Amazing! We will be returning! Thanks Tim!!! Xo

Restaurant was remarkably clean, which is important to us. Service was fantastic. Great team environment. Luckily we made a reservation so we did not have to wait on a Saturday evening. Food was basic Italian, not too over the top with flavor. We usually don’t eat out for Italian type dishes, but it was a nice change. We would eat here again.

Came here with some friends on the way back to NYC. It was so great, I can’t wait to be in MA again to be able to get some more food here. Firstly, I made a reservation at a different Papa Razzi and showed up to this place. They were so friendly and accommodating and totally didn’t make me feel bad for screwing up the res. 1 star for that. Décor has an old Italian family vibe. It’s really homey and you feel right in place. Service was fabulous, our waitress was so nice in helping us decide what to order. She brought over some bread to the table. Damn, that bread was good, especially in the sauce that came with it. We ordered pizza and some different pastas. Everything was phenomenal and really had that authentic Italian taste. Dessert was cray. We ordered a tiramisu, chocolate cake, and a really heartwarming type of compote. Perfect for the winter weather. Really really enjoyed our time here.

This restaurant really is one of the most fantastic places I have ever visited! It’s a great place for family gatherings, or for a date! The lighting and design is perfect, the service is some of the best ever, the menu is not only broad but delicious, and I would highly recommend staying for desert! Overall, a great place to go to dine, and a wonderful place to in joy! (P.s– Our server, Robert, performed greatly in conversation and service! If you get him as your waiter, your in for a treat!)

My sister had been raving about Papa Razzi’s Mangia Monday special so, after my flight was canceled the other night, we decided to check it out for dinner. We have been to this location in the past and weren’t terribly impressed but the special is a pretty good deal. $ 7.99 for all salads and apps and $ 15.99 for all dinner entrees sounded good to me. We had a reservation for 7:30pm and were seated a few minutes after that. The place was busy but not crazily so. Our server came by right away to take drink orders and we ordered our salads and entrees a few minutes after that. Now, I come from a family of teetotalers, which was problematic on this night since our meal took forever. Our salads took a good 40 minutes to arrive and our entrees took about 2 hours. We finally received them a little after 9:30pm. I’m sure that the wait would have been a lot less frustrating if we had been downing bottles of wine the entire time. I ordered a cocktail to start but I couldn’t very well have kept drinking, only to be the only wasty face at the table. Well, I could have but I didn’t want to live with the aftermath from the fam for years to come. As it turned out, I didn’t have the chance to make that choice. My drink sat empty after I finished it for the rest of the meal, with no offer to order another. I’m not really sure what happened with our meal. I remember it being slow on our other visits but this was ridiculous. By the time we finished up, we were one of two tables left in the place, with other parties having come and gone in the time that we were sitting there. I know that sometimes things happen but it would have been nice if the server or manager would have come by to check in, refill drinks/waters, or give us an update. Our server was friendly, but she seemed to be avoiding our table like the plague until about an hour and forty-five minutes into our wait. The manager came by when the entrees were placed and said that he would remove the charges for the salads and offered us complimentary desserts and coffee. It was very generous and we were thankful, but, in my opinion, it would have been nice if he had stopped by a little earlier to explain and offer assistance, drinks, etc. We weren’t feeling so much like sticking around for desserts at that point. Overall, the food was good. We ended up ordering three different coffees after the meal, which were all lukewarm. It was entertaining, though, seeing my sister’s latte served in an espresso cup. She ordered a latte but they brought an espresso so she sent it back and this is what came out. I’m not sure if the person preparing it didn’t know how or if they all just decided that they didn’t care anymore and plopped some foam on that espresso. Who knows. All I know is that, if you decide to go, drink. You’ll be happy… and drunk.

If you are a vegetarian, there is a reason this place does not come up on any search. And that is a true challenge for an Italian restaurant. This place fails across the board. The atmosphere is nice, despite being strip mall-esque. I ordered penne arabiatta — which came with meat in it. Bonus to the bartender who immediately recognized that he should bring in the manager. The manager apologized but failed to understand why I had no interest in anything that came out of the kitchen. He «comped» the meal I didn’t eat. How about my companion’s meal, as it was eaten while I just watched him? Nope, we paid for that. These people have absolutely no idea how to keep a customer happy when things go wrong. They made no effort to understand the diner’s experience. And, at roughly $ 25 per plate for strip mall food, you would hope they would value customers a bit more. We won’t be back. I’m insulted by the efforts to quiet us. Get it right — if it’s not right, make it right for everyone. Comping an $ 18 meal and still giving us a bill for $ 60 is insulting.

What a great date night restaurant! We felt a tad rushed and I would have given it 3 or 4 stars but the food was really good! We will be back!

Pricey. I ordered something, and specifically told that I don’t eat meat. When it arrived though I could not see any meat in there but when I ate I realized on the dressing they have some beef jerkey. I was shocked. When I complained he said he can have it removed. If it has to be removed I can do it myself I thought. He didn’t offered to make me a fresh plate. And by this time I had lost faith in them… I just wanted to finish my food and leave. Food was delicious but if you cannot trust what they will make you eat how can you eat there :(

I’ve come here about 3 times in the last two weeks. The bread that comes to the table is literally addicting. I’ve gotten the spaghetti bolognese multiple times but realistically everything I’ve tried has been great. Good service and great food, I’ll keep coming here

I’ve eaten at Papa Razzi in Boston several times and always had a great time. Unfortunately this location was not impressive. My husband and I got takeout one night a while ago and it was gross. They messed up our order so we had to wait a while for them to remake the food. My spaghetti with meatballs had 2 meatballs, and the sauce was watery and flavorless. For an Italian restaurant you’d expect them to get spaghetti and meatballs right, but it was a complete failure. I haven’t returned to this location since this experience and they’re less than one mile from my apartment.

Good Italian fare. Flexible staff and flexible on food combinations The calamari starter and eggplant rolatini were tasty and the sauce was spicy. Entrée was salmon with pasta. The fish was a nice size but was little overcooked. Overall a good meal.

This place should really have a more extensive light menu for lunches with all of the business nearby. Salad list was very simple. I was craving veggies and ended up with like half a tomato with a rot spot. Prices are a little high for lunch too. Server was hard to find a few times. Would not go back with all the other options.

What a let down. HUGE let down. We have been really pleased with this location as you can read from prior postings. Today the host and hostess both, yes BOTH, tried to seat us — it was awkward. By the way the place was nearly empty, during lunch — brunch, so seating should not have been an issue. It was uncomfortable — so we just left.

my boyfriend and i recently met another couple here for dinner and had an enjoyable experience. it was my and his first time here, and we’re glad they made the suggestion. the menu is straight-up italian with a variety of starters(charcuterie and beef carpaccio included), salads, pizzas, and entrees. truthfully– this place is a little pricey for my taste, so our plan was to play it safe and share some items instead of totally splurging. we ordered a bottle of wine for the table. our waiter was very good and attentive. case in point: we had accidentally ordered a half-bottle for four people. while that MAY have been what we wanted, when our server noticed, he double-checked with us, which was much appreciated. there were daily specials, one of which they were out of: osso bucco. this is one of my very favorite dishes, and i’m sad they were out, because i saw one or two walk by and was instantly jealous of the lucky customers on the receiving end. each couple ordered a salad to split: we got a caesar, they got a caprese. i very much appreciated that they portioned both salads out for two, without any extra charge. the caprese looked beautiful and fresh. our caesar was a generous size, with a hefty amount of nicely chunked parmesan cheese, and perfectly thin, crisp crostini. the dressing is house-made, and had the perfect amount of tang. for entrees, the other couple got a lemon chicken entrée and gnocchi. both dishes were in the mid $ 20 range, but were huge, so i think it was worth it. they both raved about the taste. my boyfriend and i chose to share a meatball pizza. this pizza was the perfect size for two. slightly charred in their wood-fired oven, the crust was excellent. fairly thin and crisp, with just a touch of chew. the tomato sauce was sweet, there was a good amount of cheese, and the fresh basil added at the end really made it. the meatball was a little odd; they were crumbled, so it actually looked like sausage. but the flavor was decent. for dessert, the other couple who are crazy for crème brûlée ordered the panna cotta, which they finished in about two minutes. it must have been very good. my boyfriend got the apple crisp topped with vanilla gelato. while i liked that there were bits of char on the crisp layer, that was the only thing that was special about this dessert. otherwise, it was just your everyday apple crisp. for a table of 4, including a bottle of wine and 3 courses of food, we spent $ 150, including tip. not something we can afford to do every night of the week, but worth it every once in a while. if you’re in the mood for attentive, professional service in a romantic/somewhat upscale atmosphere– this is place is for you. note: on a somewhat warm-ish day in december(mid 40s), this place was HOT. we were there at peak dining time, so the place was full, but that, combined with the heat generated from the oven in the open kitchen, created an atmosphere that was uncomfortably warm. i suggest dressing in layers, in case you have a similar experience.

I’m sad this place only has 3.5 stars. I’ve been getting a lot of togo lately and it’s always been fine. Recently went in for brunch and was really happy with everything! The staff was so friendly and polite. They have a great brunch deal where you get a mimosa or Bellini included with your entrée and it’s not some dinky small drink. It’s a regular size drink! My Tuscan Benny was SOOO good! And the potatoes were delicious! Nice and crusty on the outside, yum! At first I didn’t think it looked like a lot of food, but I was stuffed by the time I was almost finished. The hollandaise sauce is fresh made and yummy! You might want to ask for extra as they only gave a small amount. The children’s pizza was Huge! And the meal comes with a drink and dessert(sundae or fruit) Can’t forget the yummy bread either. They have warm bread that has a crusty seasoned top and soft inside that you can dip in spicy olive oil. They also give you lots of skinny bread sticks which the kids enjoy. They have a large parking lot with special pairing for Togo food which is really convenient! Don’t miss out in the brunch deal! And it’s Saturdays too!

We made reservations for Papa Razzi based on my husband’s great meal at one of their other locations. We were seated right away. Our waiter seemed to have a lot of tables, so while service was a little slow, we didn’t mind. I got a lemon drop martini(delicious) and we ordered the eggplant rollatini appetizer, which was nicely plated and tasty. Our problem came when our entrees arrived. I’d ordered chicken picatta with red roasted potatoes(a substitution from the normal side of asparagus risotto). My meal was literally 4 pieces of chicken and 4 – 5 potatoes thrown on a plate. They were cooked, but missing ingredients and not plated in any way. I had to ask my waiter to bring me capers because there were none on my chicken, and I did say to him«this is chicken picatta, it’s supposed to have capers.» I looked around and many people around me were having the same meal, and I could see that their chicken was served with lemon sauce and capers, and nicely plated. My chicken just tasted like plain chicken cooked with lemon juice. The potatoes were good. My husband ordered the mushroom and chicken risotto. It also was just thrown in a small bowl. In fact, it had barely any flavor and just tasted like plain rice. My husband started dousing the plate with salt and pepper. Our waiter came over to «help» with the pepper and noticed our pepper mill was empty, so he grabbed us a new one. I ended up giving my husband some of my chicken since the risotto portion was so small, and at least my chicken tasted like something! The waiter didn’t ask how the food was and we didn’t have time to send back dishes and ask for them to be fixed or get something else. Instead we decided to just eat quickly so we’d have enough time to get dessert at Ben & Jerry’s before we picked up the kids. We will not be back.

I was pleasantly surprised with Papa Razzi. I had never been to one, let alone this location, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I envisioned something along the lines of a Macaroni Grille/Olive Garden, so I wasn’t expecting took much considering I haven’t stepped foot in one of those places in about 15 years. My friend and I were just looking for a place to have drinks/apps and location was key. I suggested Papa Razzi because it was close to our office and I figured they’d have decent wine. The service from the start was impeccable and I was surprised to learn that they are a «scratch kitchen» meaning they make everything in the restaurant. That was great to know because I assumed everything was pre-made, frozen, shipped in, etc. The calamari was delicious, the pizza was good(nothing too mind blowing, but clearly homemade), the wine selection and quality was very good, and the cocktails were well-made(definitely on the strong side). We arrived at 5:15pm and were seated right away at a booth by a lot of windows, which was nice. By 7pm, the place was full and bustling, but I liked that it wasn’t too loud. You could still easily have a conversation. I wish I could remember the name of our server. She was very tall, thin, attractive, with very blonde hair pulled back. She was great! I would definitely come back here for a nice dinner or drinks.
