This Bakery has been a staple in Downtown Framingham for over a decade. The food here is delicious and they have multiple locations. It’s my go to spot midst many other options in the area.

My fiancé is Brazilian so every Sunday we take a trip to this Brazilian bakery and enjoy some fried pastries for breakfast. My favorites are the one with fried dough filled with chicken inside and another fried dough with corn and cheese inside! Yummy! Unfortunately I would need my fiancé to come with me to order because they don’t really speak English here however they are very friendly!

Im not sure what the fuss is about this place, the bakery items are limited and bland. I think the truth is that its just not my style of food, because people are always in and out of here, it is a busy place. It is however one of the only places in downtown framingham where you can walk in and get a cup of coffee if you want to avoid dunkin donuts.

A previous reviewer thought you would get better service if you speak Portuguese. That person is mistaken. I speak fluent Portuguese, my wife is Brazilian and this place is still sub par. There is no place to wash your hands before eating. When we pointed that out that became annoyed and directed us to where the employees wash their hands behind the counter. Their burgers are correct authentic Brazilian style. The cashew juice is $ 3.50 and badly watered down.

Decent selection of bread and baked goods especially compared to the other Brazilian bakeries around. Very few signs on items and they were in Portuguese anyways so I just pointed to order. I ordered a fried Brazilian ground beef coqueta($ 1.50), a piece of bread pudding($ 1.50) and a cup of yellow juice(they only had that and passion fruit). I didn’t know what the juice was but wanted to try something new. It wasn’t bad, not very sweet and had a light taste with zero pulp — would be refreshing on a summer day. Coqueta was good, had a very heavy taste and a little too much beef. I liked the crispy dough with tiny chunks of potatoes but also was too greasy. Bread pudding wasn’t sweet and had little flavor at all. It was huge for the price and filling. I kept imagining it would be perfect for a foodstuff to give to natural disaster victims to sustain them. You’d definitely get better service here if you spoke Portuguese.

We spotted this bakery while on our way to another bakery to get some breakfast, I love trying new places and was willing to give it a shot. Firstly, the young lady at the counter spoke broken english, and they didn’t really seem to care about helping us.(minus one star) The whole menu was is Portuguese(I assume), so since we had a language barrier, she grabbed a menu that translated the items(barely!). The definitions were verbatim: pigs in blanket, ham sandwich, chicken pie. Secondly, FALSEADVERTISING, they store front advertised fresh fruit juice. We were looking forward to that, so when we ordered our mango and pineapple juices respectively. We saw the said young lady walk over to the blender, pick up puck shaped juice concentrate and drop in in the blender, then she proceeded to pour in a steady stream of sugar from a shaker. The question she asked us when ordering was water or milk. It got us a little confused, but then we figured milk based or juice based. She then poured in some water and let ‘er rip(soo much for freshly squeezed !) The reason they got three stars from me was because the chicken pie that I asked of off the shelf WASAWESOME. It had a flaky crust, and when I cut it right in the center, there was a pimento olive. The chicken filling was very savory and good. As I kept digging in to the small portion, I then tripped upon a little pocket of cream cheese. It was like opening a treasure chest. The french bread that we got would have been great to dip is some gravy of sorts, or in some hot tea, or even a luscious curry. I’m sure the dinner roll’s are phenomenal. Then next time I’m going to make sure what I want before I walk in(I stole a menu). And this time I will come prepared …
