I came with my non-vegan friend and she was shocked at how good the food was. She had the sea vegetable soup and the huevos rancheros, and I had the lentil soup and farro and pear salad. We split the gobi manchurian and sweet potato fries on the side. I would highly recommend everything we ordered, especially the gobi manchurian cauliflower wings — they were sweet and spicy. I can’t wait to go back to try their wide variety of desserts.

Don’t bother showing up within an hour of the end of brunch. Sign on door might say Sunday brunch goes until 4pm, but they won’t serve you. It’s a restaurant, so post honest hours. They did offer takeout, if we wanted. Many people were seated and eating. Will not be back.

This review is based entirely on the take out, I have yet to dine-in. I’m lucky that my wife does a lot of regional traveling for work and often brings me back any interesting vegan food she finds along the way. This is by far the best thing she’s brought home. Every trip she takes, I have to ask how far from Framingham she will be — just in case she can pop in and bring back some of this magical food to me. I’ve had the following: Gobi Manchurian — this is so delicious and the flavors are so complex, but not overwhelming. I’d say if you go here for one thing only, this would be it. Flax Encrusted Seitan Strips — This is some of the better seitan I’ve had(besides what we make at home). It has the perfect amount of density and the flax/sauce coating really works well. Cashew Sesame Tofu — This is very satisfying as far as a protein option goes, but the best thing about this is the coconut cilantro sauce — it is fresh, creamy and worth ordering extra of. I haven’t tried anything else because sandwiches and salads tend to not travel so well, but I can’t wait to make a trip up there one weekend.

While vacationing in Boston(Ok ok, Framingham– where my husband is from), I was sick of eating holiday food & carbs. As a vegetarian, I can eat carbs all day & night, but it was over kill & my body wanted fruit, juice & salad. My MIL told me about this place that had opened up, so I borrowed her car & took all the windy roads to get here. I had a green juice with ginger. I also had the vegan omelet. Ordered a salad for my husband(and myself). Though it wasn’t cheap, it was exactly what I needed. I’ve NEVER had a vegan tofu omelet like that! It had such an interesting texture & was perfectly seasoned. So Good! Can’t wait to go back!

I travel quite a bit and this place makes the best vegan food I have had to date. Whenever I am in town I make sure to stop in to treat myself to one of their outstanding entrees. Their prices are on the high side, but I always leave feeling it was worth every penny. Their staff are very friendly, and although the speed has improved, it is still slow.

My wife and I have eaten here three times. All three times we shared a salad and an entrée. Each item has been good and we’ll continue to eat there. Service has been good and the restaurant is clean.

So, first off I’d like to say that I am not Green Leaf’s normal clientele. I like meat. Like, really like meat. If I could get away with eating meat every meal for the next 10 years, maybe I’d get tired after 9 of them. Meat is awesome. Green Leaf obviously is a meat-free zone, and I came here with a few friends who are vegetarian. Green Leaf also has many gluten-free options, so I was like«Hey, no meat but vegetarian, let’s do this thing!» I got the sweet potato pizza done gluten-free, and was disappointed in that it had absolutely no taste. I threw some sriracha on it(because sriracha is awesome, and has taste) and that helped, but as someone who likes bold tastes, I found this to be tasteless. It also made me sick later, as it was so oily. I’d normally give it a two because anything making me sick gets an automatic low score, but everyone else enjoyed their meals so sticking with a three here.

I have never shied away from vegetarian or vegan food. This place makes it an experience you must have. The atmosphere is great and the staff is friendly and helpful. I had a burger made with lentils and beets. Although it was falling apart, it was wonderful. The sweet potato fries are the best and the nachos are perfection. Top it off with one of their deserts and you are done. You will not leave feeling hungry, that is a promise.

Stopped into Green Leaf for a quick lunch with my mom today! Neither of us are vegetarian or vegan, but we just noticed it a couple weeks ago and figured we should try it out. The menu looked amazing… so many options and I honestly want to try all of them. Unfortunately I got my wisdom teeth out recently and can’t really eat normal foods, so I went with the sea veggie soup. My mom debates between the eggplant parm and beet burger, and ended up trying to beer burger. I was pretty content with my soup and it was very soft and easy to eat. We weren’t sure how we felt about the beet burger. Maybe it was some of the herbs and spices mixed in with the beets, lentils and other stuff ground up in the burger, but it definitely had some kind of weird taste. I think they should have added some more veggies on top of the burger to give it some texture. Huge side salad came with it though, so that was great! Great location, very quick, and fine service– they were attentive and friendly enough! I can’t wait to come back and try menu items that aren’t soup.

Gobi Manchurian. Let me just say it one more time… GOBIMANCHURIAN. If this had just been my main dish, we’d be looking at 4 stars. Maybe even 5. Because holy crap, Gobi Manchurian is amazing! It’s crispy on the outside, warm and good on the inside. Flavorful but not overpowering. I kept forgetting it was cauliflower I was inhaling. But lo, it was just an appetizer, and while the size was totally ok for an appetizer, the size was not ok for being so delicious and just being eaten way too fast. We got the enchiladas and the zucchini noodles for our main dishes. The were both just ok. Not bad, just, as the 3 stars say, «a-ok.» We got dessert too, I think it was mango crème brulee. Super disappointing, it was more like a pudding or just a cream, not so much with the brulee. Service was great, very nice and helpful staff. I’d come back and totally try something new off the main dinner menu, but also I’d be getting a few dishes of Gobi Manchurian for myself too. Not so share. Get your own plate, man.

Had an impromptu lunch with a vegetarian friend. Others are correct — the food is tasty & fresh. We were pleased with everything we ordered & The menu had a lot of variety. The service was polite, but not as attentive as it should be. We had to flag the servers for our needs.

The food is indeed delicious at this place. Whether it’s salad, the cauliflower with an Asian touch, or the quesadilla. While the service was generally friendly, it took forever to get the check.

I had high hopes for this place! The service was atrocious. Curt, impolite wait staff with an inability to gauge what will fit on a 2 seater table and what will not. The food itself was adequate. What was inadequate was that it was over 80 degrees inside the restaurant. When your patrons are visibly sweating, perhaps something can be done. Second, the floor was very dirty… to the point that I was uncomfortable putting my bag on it. Our waitress spilled a large amount of water on the floor and on my foot. She never mentioned it, nor did she clean up the puddle on the floor.

I love love love this place. It’s been a comfort food stop many times for me. The staff is friendly, and awesome. The food is spot on. I’ve tried so many things here. I always always always have to have the gohbi manchurian, tho. It’s a simple place, but clean and reasonable. Open kitchen, so you can see the chefs as they cook. The staff has been a little erratic at times(one server admitted that it was her first time ever waiting tables.) Prices are decent. A little high,. but you do get a lot for your $. I routinely have leftovers.

I’m so glad Unilocal led me to Green Leaf! My co-worker and I decided we needed a healthier dinner after a few meals consisting of burgers, bread and junk food. Green Leaf tasted better than all the other restaurants we visited this week, by far. The food is fresh, cooked properly and presented nicely. There are options for vegetarians, vegans and the gluten free. Check out my photos — each thing we ate was delicious! And for the price you get a ton of food. Bonus: the staff is excellent, friendly and attentive. Go here! Now!

Don’t let the fact that it’s a vegetarian restaurant scare you off, this place is the real deal. Really great service — this time Patrick was our server = great job. Smokey pea dip, Gobi Manchurian(cauliflower fried), stuffed mushrooms, sweet potato enchiladas are ALLMUSTHAVES!!! The desserts are all vegan and you would never know the difference = excellent!!! Vanilla strawberry pistachio cake is highly recommended.

Was passing through Framingham and this place popped up on the Unilocal radar, lots of pics of great looking food and good reviews made us want to stop in and check it out. basic business looking building, interesting set up inside with an open kitchen visible from the dining room. clean, modern space. took a few minutes before we were seated(the door buzzer didnt go off or something?) and then it took a while before we could order. apps were all top notch, mains were less exciting. beet burger sounded good but ended up tasting like dried herbs. bbq sandwich was good as well but didnt really wow me. sweet potato fries were sort of on the undercooked sad limp end of fries. i would definitely check it out if you are near by and looking for a veg fix and i will be back for more apps next time we are passing through!
