It’s a real shame I have to write such a negative review for a place with such great food because of the crew that works there. Also, I support small family owned businesses. But, Saturday morning 2÷6÷2016, my husband and I went there for breakfast. My husband ordered a steak burrito and asked for the pico de Gallo on the side. The burrito came with pico, but the cashier(Fausta) said«no.» Didn’t explain why. I then asked for a pancake meal from the kids menu. Fausta said«no you can’t order that.» Again, not explaining, apologizing or reasoning why. I had to ask why, and she said«because you’re not a kid.» So, to not make things difficult, I ordered an «adult» pancake meal instead. I asked who the manager was and Fausta said it was Margarita. So, when I asked Margarita why I couldn’t get pico on the side, she finally just«agreed» to give it to me. The two(Margarita and Fausta) began to laugh and mock me in Spanish for being upset-not knowing I’m fluent in Spanish. I told them I didn’t appreciate that a manager and a cashier could be so rude and unprofessional. Of course, no apology given(not like I’d expected one at this point). I asked if I could speak with the owner George. I thought maybe he could be more of help. Immediately, Margarita– surely to protect herself-said she was NOT the manager and that they had no managers, everyone’s «same level.» Never has my husband or I received such terrible customer service! We will NEVER return. Lastly,(just the cherry on top) one of the workers there was SMOKING a cigarette INSIDE the restaurant! I could NOT make this up! Read other post on this place, others have said the same.

I just got back from there and here is my experience: I walk in to the owner yelling at a guy in line on his phone that was waiting for his food. Then, i order $ 50 worth of food for my daughter, dad, and I. I then received the wrong order. I wanted a cheese omelette special and received a ham omelette. I told them and then they still brought the wrong order. They brought me an omelette with No cheese. Would that even be considered an omelette? They then wanted to charge me extra for the cheese when it was their mess up. When i got the omelette with«cheese» i was appalled, because they had just scraped the old cheese off the previous order of the ham omelette. You can tell because the cheese was super messy and had a bunch of bits if ham on the cheese. My dad also ordered a BLT sandwich with eggs. He got what it appeared to be an omelette sandwich with bacon bits inside. Hardly any bacon at all. Last i checked a BLT has bacon strips?! Not to mention I ordered a medium drink and he gave me a small and when i poured my root beer it tasted flat, so i switched it out for pepsi… still flat and gross. I didn’t drink my drink, or eat my food. I have been going here for years and will NEVER return ever again. His wife isn’t there anymore and from what i can see she ran that business because he is failing at running it as far as poor customer service, awful food, and as cheap as any quality can get. It was as bad as for me to lose my appetite and walk out p****d off! NEVERAGAIN! It is nothing like it used to be and lost a loyal customer. The owner needs to really learn to buy decent products like maybe lids that actually stay in their cups and straw that wont break, or maybe ketchup that tastes like vinegar, or maybe not watering down the a1 sauce. It’s baffling how cheap he is. You can really taste the difference in poor quality

I called George’s at 4pm and told them I was in a bind and needed 12 breakfast burritos, cut in half the next morning at 7am. I was going to be really hungry… just kidding. I needed them for a work meeting. The catering companies we normally work with all require 48 hour notice. When I called one of them to see if they could help a regular client out, I was told they wouldn’t be able to make 12 burritos on such short notice. I mean come on… who turns down business? Hustle and make it happen! We give them so much business year round and they couldn’t make 12 breakfast burritos for us? I knew George’s is open for breakfast so I called them and I the Greek man I spoke with said«No problem, you come at 7:15». I got there 5 minutes early just as 2 older Greek men were wrapping up the last of my burritos. That right there is why I love family owned small businesses who don’t say no to customers, who don’t turn down business, and hustle to make a customer’s day. Corporate businesses much like the honey badger just don’t give a you know what. The staff at George’s provided plenty of salsa and napkins which I appreciated. I was so grateful to them and glad I was able to support a local family owned business. Efxaristo George’s Burgers! Sagapo!

Excellent service, food was great, & it was immaculate. We ordered the charbroiled cheese burger & zucchini. I hope they do good.

This is by far one of the worst places I’ve been to from a customer service perspective! The first time I visited the cook was extremely sweet and made me the yummiest burrito. Since then I’ve had the displeasure of meeting the owner and he’s a piece of work! I ordered a burrito and asked for a side of feta(hole heartily expecting to pay for it). The owner initially told me he didn’t have any and when I told him it came with the Greek salad, he refused to sell me a side of feta because«it didn’t go with a burrito». He told me to «go away if I didn’t like what he said»… When I told him he’d rather lose a customer than charge me $ 2 – 3 dollars for a side of feta, and he told me to go away. He’s lost our business and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone! If you want a yummy breakfast with great customer service drive a mile further to Mile Square Park Golf Course! They’ve got better burritos and a super yummy spinach omelet anyway!

I came in on a Tuesday afternoon and the place was quite for being at a major intersection in fountain valley. I can’t bring myself to give more than 3 stars due to the environment that is provided. I had the cheeseburger special with zucchini fries. I can without a doubt say that this burger beats getting a cheeseburger from McDonald’s down the street. Pretty big, flavor was there and the zucchini fries were good too not greasy at all. You get the drink and without even asking it comes with a good size ranch for those fries. Not bad at all for under $ 8. Now the part that gets them the 3 stars is when you walk into the restaurant there is a strange smell of cigarette smoke. Also on this particular day they had someone working on the soda machine and had his foot on the counter just below where the drinks come out. Now I know this shouldn’t be something that happens all the time but when a customer comes in I think the courteous thing to do is clean up and let them get their drink. all in all I think this place has good food but the environment that is created the little like they don’t care what the customers sees and that leaves a weird feeling like what else do they not care about.

Food is good, price is great. One of those American burger joints you just can’t go wrong with(they have large menu selection!). Cashier had the brightest smile that would make anyone reciprocate. *two thumbs up!!! I got the steak and eggs for a little over 10.00. It was totally satisfying!

I like these places like this. In-laws suggested it to us since they go here a lot. Order at the counter and the food gets delivered to your table. One thing that wasn’t good is that the food came all separate. Wife sandwich came first and then my wet burrito and kids burgers came afterwards like 5 – 10 minutes later. The inside is def outdated but it gives it its charm. Small napkins so if your food is messy, you’ll be using a lot. The kids burgers were average like anywhere nothing special. The tuna sandwich was really good. The wet burrito with a few chips were a good touch.

I came in here cause i was around the corner at frys and its traffic hour so i thought id kill some time and grab a bite to eat. The food is really good, cooked when you order. I ordered a hamburger special. the place is well ventilated and very spacious. The customer service was great and i think i just saw«George» walking around so thats pretty cool. All in all a good spot to come grab a bite to eat.

I had to convince or group to come here(it was close and had variety), but after they tried charging me $ 16.50 for burger, salad, and water… I walked out. The interior is outdated and dirty. No air conditioning and I was blamed for making too many modifications. I wanted an ortega and bacon turkey burger with avocado, no bun, with a salad and bottle of water. Definitely not going back.

Ridiculous !! Ordered take out and no plastic bag for my order! I said my food will get over the place in the car! Cashier replies No bag in FV and HB”(as the cook on the back is opening a bag) 1 star but I should give no stars! This is not a store or grocery! Horrible experience even mentioned it was my first time at George’s. I asked if he was George, he said George is on vacation. Hey George be careful who you leave in charge to run the store.

Usually one of my stops from visiting costco or frys electronics, always like their double cheeseburger and chilly cheese fries, Today was excellent in service and customer friendly attitude, Ive heard stories about the owner but I have been lucky not to run into him so im still happy coming to this location.

Average. Definitely nothing bad about the taste or quality; this place is just your average independent diner. Classic American & some Mexican. A larger menu selection than IHOP and the quality is one step higher than Danny’s, all for a similar price.

This is my first time here, HORRIBLE ! Their chilli cheese fries are disgusting, their chili tastes so gross, canned chili tastes better, their cheese isn’t even melted! The Tuna melts were very dry, they needed more sauce, you can tell the lettuce and celery has been sitting out alllll day and maybe night, disgusting! I really don’t recommend this place at alll! Oh and Let’s not forget how nasty the bathrooms smell, it’s a place where employees dealing with the food we eat are washing their hands, if I walked into the bathroom before ordering my food, I would have just walked out. If I can give them 0 stars I will, but the one star is for the cashiers good customer service!

This place has the right idea. I will explain the two stars in a minute here. I was dying for a big, fat, BACONCHEESEBURGER. This place delivered on that! Crispy, salty bacon, juicy burger patty, fresh crunchy lettuce, and a perfect dressed and toasted bun. Fries are cooked to order and golden! And they’ve got some awesome ranch sauce! I’m not really into room temperature, oily buttermilk ranch that’s been sitting out all day… No, that’s just not for me. But give me some cool, thick herby ranch and I’m happy as can be. For my man and I, it’s kinda pricey for a burger joint. $ 26 for two cheeseburger combos. Eek! But it’s alright. I wouldn’t go here often, just when that bacon withdrawal starts up. The interior is clean and spacious. There are plenty of doors to let in a nice breeze. They do to-go as well as dine in. Lots of booths, comfy and good sized tables. The two stars comes from whoever was SMOKING?! in the back of the kitchen during service hours! As I’m devouring my burger, I’m suddenly assaulted by the harsh smell of cigarettes. What a bummer! I normally don’t care about cigarette smoke, not something that bothers me much but not while I’m eating! Especially when I’m enjoying my meal. This place is spacious but it’s not huge. That just kinda killed it for us. The food does take a little while to get out too. I guess you can’t rush quality. So all in all, not too shabby. Get rid of that smoker polluting my dinner and this place has got it going ooonnnnn.

The good: the tortillas. the blah: pretty much everything else. In comparison to other diners, the portions are pretty small. For instance, the chicken fried steak was a very thin piece of meat with a lot of breading. At least it was soft. The eggs were very tiny. I don’t feel like that is a place a diner should skimp. It makes a huge perception difference to have little nickel /quarter sized yolk in front of you verses a large egg. The old man owner was friendly enough but very awkward. His customer service was a little lacking. I probably won’t come back but it wasn’t the worst service for food ever.

I ordered the gyro and it was AMAZING. The meat was well seasoned and tender. The fresh vegetables on top really brought a second level of refreshing flavor to the dish. The garlic yogurt sauce that came with it was also really good, added a lot of flavor to the gyro. In addition the service was also really good. My server was really friendly and suggested that I put some of the fries that I ordered inside the gyro. I thought it was weird at first, but after I tried it I did not regret it. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I would definitely go back. The meal was very filling too.

Prices are too expensive. I ordered lunch special and its a sandwich and fries with a drink for over 10 $ for one person. The menu says it comes with a medium drink but she hands me a small. I ask is this your medium? She says yes. It’s small isn’t it? I replied yeah it is. As I look next to the register I see three sizes of cups and she clearly game me the smallest. I don’t mind since I’m dining in but c’mon!? Who you trying to fool? I ordered the pastrami. I thought well for $ 10 I bet it’s a big sandwich. Most likely one I won’t finish. It was the smallest lightest pastrami sandwich I’ve ever seen. On top of which the pastrami was dry. The bread was stale and there was barely any more than a drop of mustard. The fries are your average flavorless cold fries that aren’t worth eating even with the much needed added salt n pepper. Even the fountain soft drink machine tasted bad. Overall bad experience. This place is near a lot of businesses so I see how they stay in business. Most people will just go to what’s near even if it’s bad. Well some people. But not me. Two thumbs and toes Down for George’s

I met up with some friends Saturday morning and they suggested having breakfast here. OK, works for me. We walk in and it’s like so many other non-chain, char-burger places: big counter, huge menu offering numerous options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus plentiful seating via booths everywhere. As others have said, while everything we very clean and kept up, it’s also very dated. «Hello George’s, the early 80’s called and they want their décor back.» LOL All joking aside, while yes the interior is dated, that does not detract from the food itself or the service. SERVICE: Like all those other non-chain char-burger places, you order at the counter, they give you a number and they’ll bring your food to you when it’s ready. FOOD: I ordered the Chicken fried steak, eggs & toast($ 6.59) The chicken fried«steak» was the same diameter and thickness of a hamburger patty, i.e. kinda small and really thin. However whatever breading or coating they use was crispy, light and almost… ALMOST… had a tempura like quality to it, I liked it quite a lot! Moving on, the gravy was very bland and looked like it may have had a few slices of mushroom in it. The hash browns and eggs were the usual fare. My friends ordered pancakes, eggs & sausage.($ 4.09) I was able to taste the pancakes and they were very light /fluffy and had a great flavor! They also ordered an extra Side of sausage($ 2.20) because they were telling me the sausage is REALLY good. I have to admit yes it is pretty darn good. One thing I found rather amusing was this sign on the wall. OVERALL: Yes the décor is older, but the service is solid and the prices are VERY reasonable. I’ll have to go back to check out other items on the menu. Based on my one breakfast experience, 2.5 stars rounded up.
