Simply Marvellous

I visited 10 mos ago. I would have liked to have given this place at least 4 stars, but I too felt that the haircut was fast and texturing was mussed. I have hopes for this place; they just need to get into the 21^st century and do away with the amateurish NY theme on the wall. A fresh and modern update for the inside is badly needed, for the décor and the stylists.

We all can be pretty picky about our hair and know when we don’t look good we typically don’t feel the greatest (the sparkle is just not there). I had to find a new stylist after relocating. My first visit was for a trim and color so I utilized Unilocal to find a place. My search took me to Simply Marvelous and to Deena.
My first visit she was spot on with my color and she made note of it and I left extremely happy/​relieved. Second visit she was spot on again. My third visit I decided to add some different color for the fall season and after Deena listened to me and we talked more she came up with a color blend. She also used semi permanent color being more conservative due to this change to ensure I would like it before possibly going more permanent.
My results today were nailed! Awesome job Deena!!! As my color processes I usually take time to observe my surroundings and pay attention to details. From my viewpoint as a client and in this business I see a salon owner who works hard, has a clean salon, operates very efficiently and has two additional stylists with pleasant personalities making for a nice atmosphere for all clientele. All of the stylists are efficient and each time being there I observe how well clients’ hair styles look (women, men and children).
I have been very pleased with all of my hair results thus far and give huge kudos to Deena and working her craft so well! I am a loyal client especially after today!

After all those good reviews I had such high hopes for this place and Deena but one more haircut disappointment. Fastest haircut ever, She just cut my hair in a few minutes with no texturizing which I specifically asked for. Need to find a new place.

Work has made it a challenge to take care of hair, etc., so I was so grateful to get a last-​minute appointment with Deena. She got right to work. Color, highlights and cut. Perfect Walked out feeling great! Thanks, Deena. I’m happy to have found a hometown place with good hours and great prices!

Deena is awesome! Took our kids in today and she gave them both the perfect cut! She was so patient with our 4 yr old. The salon prices are fantastic and her skills are definitely far beyond. Looking forward to our next visit!

Deena takes care of you. The prices are so good, she is quick, and very good at what she does. Highly recommend her for guys’ haircuts. My wife gets her haircut here too, no complaints from her either.

I am severely allergic to hair dye and I look so old with all the grey. Deena developed a way to color my hair without the dye touching my scalp!
She gave me a wonderful cut and style with the color. It looks great!
The price was very reasonable! The ambience in the shop is wonderful! I couldn’t ask for more!

I was visiting from Cape Cod MA and didn’t have a chance to get a haircut before I left. I was worried about trying someplace new. I got the best haircut from Deena and didn’t even have an appt. When I got home friends even commented how much younger I looked! Music to my ears! She truly is a gift and I highly recommend Simply Marvelous. Besides the price is right at $ 14.

Deena was wonderful! I was traveling through AZ and stopped in for a haircut. She listened to me, gave me exactly what I wanted in a haircut! Wish I was closer so I could make it my regular salon! Don’t let the incredibly reasonable $ for a haircut fool you, she is super skilled!

The salon is easy to find, open, airy, and comfortable. The owner Deena is outstanding. She is super skilled and talented yet gets the job done quickly; no muss, no fuss… like pressing the «easy button.» Kelly styled my hair as well and she is also outstanding. What I especially like about this salon is that walk-​ins are welcome.

This new salon in Fountain HIlls is great. The stylists are professional and the atmosphere is pleasant. The prices can’t be beat. $ 14 for a haircut with shampoo. Great value, great place. Give it a try. I will be back.
