If I could give negative stars, I would. I was really excited about going back to a Waffle House. My wife and I walked in, and there were no other customers. Waitress came to take our order, and then the nightmare began. I ordered the super star meal and asked for hashbrowns instead of grits and an extra egg. So, three eggs, over medium. First sign of failure, the cook did scrambled eggs. Server caught the mistake, and fixed it, no problem there but then, it got worse. While he was re doing my eggs he dropped the waffles. My wife asked for pecan wake with strawberries, mine was supposed to be plain. He did hers right, but put strawberries on mine. Server caught that, and dropped another waffle, plain. When it was done, however, it was stuck to the waffle iron, so she had to do that over. By this time I had received my 2 eggs, bacon, toast, and grits. I reminded the server that I had requested hashbrowns, not grits, and 3 eggs, not 2. So, third egg was started, and the hashbrowns. By this time a couple more customers had arrived. I finally got my third egg and hashbrowns, and the time went off for my waffle. My server almost got into a fight with another over my waffle. We heard then arguing. Mine won, but by then the rest of my food was gone, and I was getting close to losing my s#!t. The server was a sweetheart, and apologized for all the screw ups, but by the time we left, I was just incredibly annoyed. I won’t abandon Waffle House, but I’ll never return to this one.

The cook here tonight is so slow. We’ve been here 45 minutes and still haven’t got our food. It’s not even busy. There’s only one table of 3, 3 people sitting at the bar, and us here. The waiter told us it’s because they have a lot of orders that it’s taking so long. I was watching him and he was only cooking one thing at a time. I finally got my food and the eggs were cold. This place used to be really good and fast, but they’ve really gone downhill.

Let me start off by saying that I’ve been going to Waffle House for years with no issues. They’ve always been great. But the Waffle House on N Beach street is AWFUL& I will never go there again. IHOP down the street will now be gaining my business and Waffle House has officially lost it. First, we called in our order to pick it up, because on Sunday’s Waffle House is always overly crowded. We get there, starving at this point, and tell them our name for the order. The lady goes and picks up our bags, then sets it back down and continues to talk to her co workers instead of handling our check out. We wait another 15 mins even though our meal is ready and sitting across the counter from us. Fine, they’re busy, whatever. Then, we check out and they apologize for the wait. We go put the bags in the car and I notice we didn’t get our chocolate milk and orange juice. Walk back in less than a minute later and tell them they forgot to give us our drinks. They then refuse to give us the drinks we had already paid for. We show them the receipt(which by the way– Waffle House needs to ring up items as they are called not as just how much with no description). Since their receipts don’t say what you got, they only ring up as money values with no description, she refused to give them to us without paying for the drinks AGAIN. So, we ended up paying $ 10 for TWODRINKS($ 5 twice), spent 30 minutes trying to get our two person order, and the next 30 minutes frustrated. Not to mention, after the food sat in the bags forever, when we got to eat it, it was GROSSANDSOGGY. If you’re a Waffle House lover, AVOID N BEACHSTREET! Go to another location or down the street to IHOP. They handle your business much better and they value your loyalty– unlike Waffle House apparently.

Where to start? First we were in the mood for a hamburger and this is the closest place that has hamburgers to our work. My friend said they had a cheesesteak sandwich that is good, so we stopped. We placed our order, mine with the onions it comes with and add jalapeño. My friend no onions and add lettuce and tomato. We listened as the waitress called the order and it did not sound right so we tried to talk to her about our request. She assured us she did it correct. We got our food quickly, positive, a star for speed. My friend checked hers before we left and hers had onions! Back to the grill and remake. So while they started to remake hers the staff was busy blaming each other for the miscommunication. I asked if mine was made correct and of course they said yes. Not that I don’t trust others, but I checked myself and I was smart for checking. Mine had jalapeño but no onions. Back to the grill with more chatter among the staff. Another negative is that they did not have any«to go» utensils. The second star was for kindness on my part. By the time we got back to work to eat it before our next meeting, it tasted okay. Or we were hungry. Either way, one star for flavor. The jalapeños were actually spicy. I have worked down the street for 9 years and have eaten here 3 times, I guess it will be another 3 years before I give it a try again.

I love the idea of waffle house and having recently completed a trip from Texas to Florida, I have quite a few to compare. This one was run pretty ragged, although our waitress was very nice and attentive. The waffles were not warm enough to melt butter and the toast was limp. Other than that it was good enough but not as good as some of their siblings out east.

It’s pretty hard to mess up wafflehouse. We’ll except when training is going on. I love the transparency of management, as long as it’s professional. It’s always a joy when the good lead is in at the same time as the bad lead. One compassionate, the other barking everything wrong while they themselves skirt protocol. But hey, it’s the best food around. This location is comparable to the east ftw location, near trinity and 820. I’ve traveled throughout the US and have had consistent service while the only two locations I didn’t like have been the one near Hwy 24 in Conway ar and all of them in the state of GA. Keep up the good work.

Stopped in this morning for some breakfast. Place was not even half full. Pretty dirty restaurant but hey, I was hungry. I looked at the menu and decided what I wanted. Still nobody had come to take my drink order. I saw 10 employees in the store. Only about 8 customers. 9 employees are standing behind the counter shooting the breeze with each other and th we manager was up front dancing to the music. BTW he can’t dance. Still no one acknowledged my existence. Another couple comes in and is immediately met by a waitress and their drink order was taken. I started to feel like I might have the wrong skin color to be served here. Horrible experience. How many Waffle House employees does it take to get you breakfast? Apparently more than 10.

I hate Waffle House in general but this one want too bad. Facility: clean & friendly servers. Tables are too small and they give you tons of useless plates. Food: I ordered cheese & egg which wad just ok. The cheese was American, toast was stale & the bacon was over cooked. I also didn’t care for the hash browns since they are cooked on the outside of the pasty but not the inside. Coffee came late & all or food didn’t not come on time. My aunt said the fruits were too textured and no bieno.(She is a Texan’). I guess if you are really really hungry you would eat here.

The reason I gave two stars was the fact that the food was good. We came here at around 11:30a.m. on a Saturday the guy sitting the people down was very nice and was helping get booths ready since there was many people waiting. I have been to waffle House since I was a kid and I know there is a lot of people that go there especially on Saturdays. Once we were seated our waitress got our order and brought our drinks I am a bit picky about drinking out of cups so I like straws. She never noticed us calling so we didn’t get our straws until our food was served. That’s fine I work in the service industry I know how it is to be busy. We had the all star meal she never brought our waffle until we asked for it. After that she never came back and did not give us syrup for our waffle. We sat there for 15 minutes and she never went by us and asked how we were doing or anything. Our waffle got cold so we just left it there. When we were ready to pay she didn’t even have the ticket ready we had to wait for her to put the prices. True disappointment! I wouldn’t say I will never go back here because everyone else was very nice, the food was good it was just the waitress that made the visit horrible.

Laid back place with great food. Jalapeño biscuits ate fabulous. Everything is so fresh and flavorful. It’s not fancy, but it’s great home style food. Open 24 hours and the staff is always friendly and in a good mood. I love this place. I wish Cali had this.

Best service I have ever received from any Waffle House. They were fast. Most waffle houses have employees that are loud & into their own gossip interests then the customers interests but the Caucasian cook and his waitresses were on their A-Game! Will be back for more late night eats!

Waffle house has always been a favorite through many states. However the one in Ft Worth should be ashamed to have the name waffle house on it’s door… Stopped there for breakfast. The place was dirty the table had food under the pretty menus The floor was filthy and this was 7:30 in the morning … I ordered a Waffle with a side of Eggs that was it. The waffle was underdone and not looking anything like the picture you post… and the gal handled it without her little plastic gloves on. The side of eggs came about 15 minutes after I got my waffle which I could not eat. The scrambled eggs were runny and to my horror there was some nasty white stuff grits ??? And some limp toast. Well there was no way I was going to eat this mess… The manager was nice and I did not have to pay for my breakfast. I had to go find another place to eat. This one needs to be closed

I have visited quite a few waffle houses and this by far is the nicest. The staff is nice, the view is nice and the food is great. And there is no smoking. You can’t go wrong with the All Star Breakfast.
