I have been coming here since I was a child. They were suppose to close tomorrow but they say today is more likely since they are running out of food. Sad to see it go. The food was good for the super cheap prices. Five stars for all the memories I’ve had here. First dates, anniversary, mothers day parents night out the list goes on. Thank you for the memories.

Always good. Steaks are great. Salad bar is special with the marinated mushrooms. Catfish has great flavor but very greasy.

Good and service was great, I have no complaints. This is the first time I’ve been here a friend invited me to lunch. The salad bar is all you can eat. The food was not bad and we both eat for about $ 20.00

Been to both sides, the restaurant and saloon. Food wasn’t bad, but the large portion and price makes it great! Had the T-Bone and Kansas City Strip for under $ 15 each plus 2 sides!!! The saloon side is fun with its cheap drinks and karaōke. Awesome staff, great management, along with fun patrons, I would definitely recommend people to come and try this place out. Eat in the restaurant and venture over to the saloon side

Pretty good home style cooking in addition to the steaks.

This ranks among the worst places I have eaten. It’s dark, depressing, and dirty. The food is like school cafeteria food, but without the protection of hairnets. The jello at the salad bar was the only thing that didn’t raise suspicion. I will say that the Texas kitcsh was amusing. I like the oil rig sign out front and some of the décor was interesting. I didn’t hate the place, I just would never want to eat anything they serve.

Never again. Went with family, and the service s just horrible, as well as the food. We sat for over an hour waiting for our meals to arrive, yet as we are about to walk out and leave out food finally arrives. Even before that happen, people came in much later than our group and was served before we were. We were given a discount for the length of time, but that is still no excuse for the service, or how bad the food was. Fish was hard but rubber-ish, shrimp was fried way too hard, to the point it was almost burnt. Few got something entirely different from what they ordered. I will not return. Take your chances if you want to… I would say pass this place up without a second thought!

I used to go here all the time growing up and then all of sudden, we stopped going. So it had been about 10+ years since I had been here last and let me tell you, not a damn thing has changed, like literally, nothing had changed and it kind of worried me. I have always been a fan of the salad bar and that was about the extent of my likes. The food was ok, well priced, but not that great. It’s I bit dingy and out dated. To be honest I am not sure how they pass(ed) the health inspection. I probably will go back just because my Hubby is a fan but if I had a choice in the matter, I would keep cruisin’ and eat somewhere else.

You can’t always judge a book by its cover. Sure this place is old and doesn’t look so great on the outside, but it is not nearly as bad as most of the reviews make it seem. The salad bar was fresh and had a nice selection of veggies. We had chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken. It wasn’t the best food ever, but it was decent home cooking. I’d go back and just have the salad bar.

This is an older restaurant and you can definitely tell from pulling into the parking lot. Building aside, I just was turned off from the moment I walked in. I had a meeting with a group and they picked the place because of the local fare and free wifi. The food was just cheap and gross. Just about every meal allows you have the salad bar it attempts to balance the fried junk you have to choose from.

You get what u pay for. Very cheap, very heavy, have been here 15 times, got sick last time. Manage expectations accordingly. I would give it 2.5…

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid! Even our waitress said she doesn’t eat there! My steak arrived raw in the center and the fries were like warm raw cut potatoes. Then 3 of us out of our party of 10 got very ill. Don’t take your chances!

One of those places old people think is good but is really, really bad. Wet lettuce, twang in my beans and something crunched in my chicken fried sandwich that should not have been there. Waitress waiting to go home.

The only thing appetizing about this place is the price of the steaks. If you’re looking for value, then maybe you’ll be ok with eating the low quality, processed, taste like it came from a school cafeteria, food they serve here. But if value were a real concern for you, you’d be better off buying a couple of good steaks and grilling them yourself. ANYTHING would be better than the trough food they serve here. Heck, I’d seriously consider eating an old shoe before ever stepping foot in this establishment again.

I went here once and hated it. It looks rundown from the outside and even when you go inside the food taste like it’s been seating out for days. I will never go back here again.

This place looks rundown from the outside but its surprising on the inside. Its old, eclectic, and homey. The smell of smoke is not faint, which is unfortunate but forgiveable. The room is large and open with lots of wall stuff to look at. There are side rooms for a bar and a banquet hall, and possibly others. I got a chopped steak, which is pretty much a steak meatloaf. It comes with a salad bar trip for starters. The salad bar isn’t extensive, but the food is fresh and clean. Its got your standard lettuce, dressings, extras, pasta salads, and jello and dessert things. We got our meals and dug in. The chopped steak was good, nice and tender and not overcooked. The gravy was a bit bland, but that was cured by the house bbq sauce at the table. The staff was exceptionally kind and there was no lack of service on a sleepy afternoon. The price was good too. Overall, The Rig is better than it looks but pretty average in general. I’ll be back though, that’s for certain!

Don’t judge this book by its cover. The entry to the bar will make you want to do a 180 and sprint back to your car. Don’t do that, because you will miss out on one of Fort Worth’s hidden gems. It’s no longer a secret after being named«Best place to embarass yourself while doing karaōke» by Fort Worth, Texas magazine. I certainly agree, as there is no shortage of self-humiliation when Not Really Willie spins the de-worded songs. The character of this bar really is extraordinary. Also, after living in Dallas for a couple years, the Tarrant County bar prices never get old. You won’t get anything fancy, but I can’t think of a place in town with friendlier people.

YUCKYUCKYUCK!!! I walked in and my shoes were sticking on the floor it was that disgusting. The place smells like a strip club if anything. Food was a little hard to eat after you see your surroundings. I DONOTRECOMMENDTHISPLACEATALL!!! with or without coupon don’t even think about it.
