This is a good bar. Dark, and the crowd is a little bit older than Caves in general. Good bartenders.

This is one of my favorite local bars to go to, always great atmosphere, and good people. Great selection of beer as well.

It’s been a while and I don’t even know if the bartender who added the tip to my credit card is still there and there wasn’t a way to prove it to police but it was theft. My friend left a cash tip so I left the card blank. They filled it in for 10.00. Freakin’ thief. Manager did nothing when I called and then no return calls. Good thing there are other options for bars…

Less bad than you’d expect, not as good as could be. This bar does everything right, yet somehow leaves you wanting more. I can’t quite put my finger on it but they’re missing something. A little too pricey to be a true dive bar, it feels like the poser of dives

I like this bar — I don’t love it. The bar is a dive, it’s small, it has the same lame«compilation» jukebox that The Cave Lounge has which makes it impossible to find a specific tune. The back patio is decent, the 2 bartenders seem good enough and the location is right off the highway. Yeah, the bar could be bigger and it would be cool if the bathrooms didn’t open straight into the bar ;) One other thing to note is the turn in off the main road is a little dicey. There is a drainage ditch that runs right in front of the lodge’s parking lot that is lower than the road. So, if you don’t know where the turn in is(which is not marked) you will drive right over the curb and down into the ditch and totally jack your car up. Should paint the curb yellow like most normal curbs :) Also, I can see how someone might feel out of place here if you’re not covered in tattoos, have a beard, wear sunglasses on your hat(at night,) or wear eyeglasses as an accessory(not a necessity.) However, most of the people are nice enough regardless of what the cover of their book is.

Great bar. They had a real jukebox when I was there last. Great bartenders and cold drinks. Lots of JFK memorabilia to look at on the inside. They had specials when I went. There were also tables to sit at besides the bar. I think they had an outside patio too. This place is pretty cool to check out. I would return.

I come here every time I visit Ft. Worth with a friend who’s a regular. Usually it’s awesome, but the bartender tonight(blond, undercut, skinny white dude who’s fairly new) was not only rude but tried to pass off a whiskey with a squirt of coke and sprite as a whiskey ginger not just once, but twice. The second time he tried to hide it by turning his body away from me while he was making it, but I watched him squirt coke into the glass before switching to sprite. Then he went through this big production of tasting the«ginger ale» and told me that my drink was«as good as it gets» even though it CLEARLY tasted like watered down coke to both me and my friend. I mean, come on, if you’re out of ginger ale, just say that. Don’t try to fake it with watered down coke and then be rude to me when I catch you at it.

This place was great at first. but with a little time you’ll see the truth. If you’re a regular you’re golden. If you aren’t then you get treated like some 16 year old needing their parent to babysit them. If God forbid you surpass what they, and by they I mean the plump boy with guages and TK, think is an acceptable amount of beverages they will veru rudely in front of everyone, cut you off. It hasn’t happened once. or twice… but three times. And it’s only been a problem at this bar with those two bartenders. The other ones who work there seem to know how to conduct themselves professionally and politely. If you plann on being a regular and i mean, every night of the week regular then I would recommend this bar. just avoid those two bartenders. If you don’t plan on being a drunky regular with no life, then find a different bar.

This place is just down the road from where I live in the Eastside of Fort Worth. The perfect spot to just go grab a drink with friends after work, or class. Very relaxed atmosphere, no one is there to try to go all out for the night. Most are there for a chill evening out, or have a quiet conversation over drinks. I had me a Shiner when I went, I didn’t really try anything else. Usually like to stick to my Texas beers. The walls are decorated with lots of Lee Harvey Oswald things, which makes the décor strangely alluring, and also gives you the reason behind the bar name. Try out their patio in the back, probably my favorite part of the bar. Out of all the bars in the Eastside, this is the one to check out.

Ozzie is the perfect dive, and, at least since I’ve been going in, it thankfully hasn’t gotten trendy and brought in the yahoo types that can ruin a good place. Good, decent cocktails at prices that won’t kill you, and I’m not the regular beer drinker, but they have a good selection. Great crowd, everyone is there to sit back and have fun it seems. No one cares about who you are, how old you are(which is nice since we’re, like, old) or anything else for that matter. Doesn’t get super loud, you can still have a conversation with someone, even at the front bar, and there is usually a couple seats available somewhere if you don’t want to have to stand. Service has always been good. They have a spin the wheel drink selection, not sure how it works, one of these days maybe I’ll ask, but then again, I’m just enjoying my drink, thanks.

This place could sit right next to the definition of DIVEBAR in the dictionary, if the dictionary were cool and hip and stuff! I’ve visited several times in the past month and each time I feel more and more comfortable even though I am usually the oldest person there, lol. They have a great drink combo menu. In it they pair a shot with a certain beer. Excellent way to sample a kind you normally wouldn’t even know existed. Speaking of beers this place carries some really different, local, small brewery beers. Every bartender I have encountered at Ozzie’s has been friendly, out-going and very well informed about the beer they sell. We stayed much longer than we had planned because this place is just that kind of place, the one you want to hang out in all night.

Great bar for cheap drinks in a dark and cool bar. Dallas Cowboy Bingo and $ 1.75 draft Shiner = win.

This is probably my favorite dive bar. I’m also a fan of Caves, and it shares the same owners, so it is along the same line. A little more dank, much smaller, and I love the location. Drink specials are pretty good, and the weekday service is especially great. Great music, random rockabilly nights, and a lot of crazy crap on the walls. The crowd is also an interesting and lively mix of people. Bring a mason jar, trust me.

And while I think we can each appreciate that divey joints get rated on their own particular bell curve — an entirely separate set of criteria based much less on creature comforts(depending on the creatures, I suppose), and more on an overall gestalt — the reputation of The Ozzie Rabbit(a semi-loose connection to Oswalt, reinforced once you’re there by the artwork and the fact that we all agree that he’s still dead) remains solid. They’re comfortable confounding expectation a little in some places and in still otherwise waxing steady Eddie. If you dig Caves Lounge in Arlington, you may feel at home here too: the same ownership governs each joint. To that end, you’ll find a few regular calendar staples here from bus dive bar crawls to peculiar DJ sets to Fiesta Fridays. I’m sure they’re not dull. And so it is with even slow nights like a Sunday night football evening in late Autumn. They don’t take themselves too seriously, but what they do well here they do with intent. And that’s worth a raise of the glass.

Hands down my favorite place to drink. I first went to Ozzies when I was 21… I am now 25. The big club scene never appealed to me, nor the college kid chain bars. Ozzies is a hub of alternative diversion, housed nextdoor to Randy Adams Tattoos. Artists, musicians, bikers, punks, beards, and everything inbetween all coexist in this dive to share a friendly beer or eight. The jukebox has always been top-notch, the décor is not shabby, the bartenders are awesome and have almost all ended up being friends. If the warm-fuzzies aren’t building up in your alcohol ridden gut yet then here is the rest. Drinks are cheap. There’s a special every day. The parking is free. It’s NOT downtown. It’s right off of a major freeway. Also, there are washers ONDAPATIO! I almost cringe to have a night out anywhere else.

The Ozzie Rabbit verges on the subterranean, with a dark reptilian ambiance. For those who need sunshine, there’s the back patio. The juke box inside is solidly stocked. Reasonably priced drinks and super cool bartenders make The Ozzie Rabbit a great place to bring friends or to make new ones. Beloved by its patrons, there’s an easy flow of conversation along the bar.

Perfectly decent. In the same evening, the place was filled with throngs of people; at other times I could’ve held a yoga class in there. The patrons were on the younger side(good news, Fort Worth!) and were pretty friendly; strangers engaged in our drinking games, bought us some beers, and a scientist bought me songs on the jukebox. I guess he had to, since many of the offerings were on the less mainstream/more punk side of the music compass. I forgave him, being from eastern Europe and all. AC/DC was, however, abused that night by fellow patrons. I feel like one must come here on different nights to truly and completely experience what this place has to offer(which sadly, did not include Peroni). There were ads for such events as playing your iPod(however, they warn, if it sucks, they’ll unceremoniously relieve your device of this duty). I’d go again to take on this challenge. Sure hope everyone likes David Bowie.
