The Artful Bead

More than a shop — it feels almost like a community center for creative types. They are helpful, have great classes, ready to answer questions. If you are in a hurry, they will help you find what you need and get on your way. Or if you want to take your time looking around, you are welcome to do that. Or just have a seat and visit a bit. Just a great place.

The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. They have a wide range of merchandise and their available classes are a plus.

Great prices & service. I spent a few hours looking for someone to restring a Tahitian pearl necklace when I came across The Artful Bead. I spoke with Mary over the phone and decided to take my pearls to her. I was looking for someone with experience & I also wanted the pearls double knotted on black silk thread with the clasp attach reinforced with a French wire. Mary did a fabulous job — the knotting looks perfect with each knot being the same size & each pearl is secure with no ‘wiggle’ room between the knots. I dropped the pearls off Saturday morning and they were finished Monday afternoon. The price was outstanding — $ 35 total, some of the jewelry stores were asking $ 80 — $ 120 for the same job (Mary charges by the knot). Another bonus is that Mary restrung my pearls in the same order as they were previously strung — this was important to me because my pearls are graduated. The strand looks better now than when I first purchased it — I would also like to say that it’s a personal preference to get the pearls double knotted and I think larger pearls look more distinctive with larger knots. If you are looking for someone with expertise in stringing pearls, look no further. As a side note the shop is packed full of cool beads and supplies… and everyone is super friendly.

Super cute little bead store. I never realized it was even there until this past weekend. But they’ve got a good selection of semi-​precious stone beads, & don’t overcharge for them. Definitely will be back again.

i think their prices are wonderful, too… those cute $ 2 strands get me every time :) their prices on finer/​precious and semi-​precious gems are great. woohoo, artful bead! you rock!

This place is fun! I agree that Mary is a crack-​up, and everyone who works there is great! Good selection of glass and gemstone beads plus everything in between. I have taken classes there and enjoyed them.

This shop is incredible! The ladies there are so friendly and nice and the owner, Mary, is a crack up :) They have helped me several times to match things up and give suggestions when I was stuck. It is a bit of a drive for me but I will go out of my way with pleasure since they are so fabulous.

Adorable bead store that caters to the bead novices and experts alike. Everything is well laid out and they provide you with a sharpie pen and little baggies to mark your prices yourself. Most of the prices for beads are comparable to Hobby Lobby regular prices. The prices for clasps and charms can run higher. They also have classes available but I’ve never taken one.
