Well… went last night for to-​go chicken expecting great things from other reviews!!! What I got was pretty good, not great, grilled chicken and sides. Beans and rice were also good… I would put this place on scale of Pollo Regio… but well below the new Pollo Tropicales moving into the area (a Cuban based chain from Miami). May try Tacolote again and go inside to get the chicken straight off the grill, but would not drive out of my way to get take out again. Good… A-​OK sums it up pretty well…

So crazy good! The smell that this place sends into the air surrounding the streets caused me to turn around and head straight for it. I wasn’t sure what that cheek tingling seasoning was or where exactly it was coming from. Once found, I was taken back to the grill in my parents backyard. My pops sure knew how to grill up those chickens and mom was all about the beans, rice, tortillas and fresh salsa. This place is just like eating at my parents weekend cookouts. Gather your fiends and co-​workers and head on over to this place. No regrets, just dang tasty good eats at a super fair price. I going there again today!

Half chicken, grilled. My. GAWD.
WHY isn’t this place the hottest place in town. So fresh. So good. Such a great value. So messy and finger-​licking taco rolling good.
Half a chicken grilled over real charcoal. Fresh and savory. Comes with a stack of tortillas. Grilled onions and grilled jalapeños piled high. And some rice and beans. No fuss. All mess.
