Sunflower Shoppe is a great stop, if you happen to be in the area. I say this because I don’t think«hey I need XYZ, I need to go to Sunflower Shoppe for that.» Haha wait, that sounded bad. I only mean that if you need to go grocery shopping, you may not find all of your«essential items» here; e.g. they don’t have a meat/produce section. So go get your eggs and milk elsewhere! Haha okay that wasn’t that funny, but at least I got my point across. I get my car washed at the business right next to this place & I ALWAYSSTOPBY every time. They do have great specialty items and more selection on organic packaged goods than Central Market and Trader Joe’s. But Sunflower Shoppe will never take their place. Sunflower Shoppe will have a huge selection of organic granola, cereal, juices, snacks, protein bars, and etc., than Central Market and Trader Joe’s have.(They do have a frozen section too.) They also have a huge selection of supplements and beauty care items(not make up). They also offer the most healthy dog food options. But if your fur-baby is allergic to lamb then you might be out of luck, as most have lamb as their base. I stopped by last weekend and they had decent size free sample bags of their dog food that I took home. They normally sample drink mixes, protein shakes, teas, and etc too.

I love Sunflower Shoppe– they have most all of the specialty items you are looking for. Do your research before you come, not all their employees know about the products.

I like this store. They have one of the largest varieties of different organic oils that I’ve ever seen. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They also serve food(sandwiches, cakes, ice cream, popcorn, etc.). However, they are a tad bit expensive. Whoever does the inventory needs to do a bit of a better job because they are almost always sold out of peppermint and argan oil. I believe a private seller(who possibly sells on Ebay, Amazon, etc.) comes in and buys up the entire product as soon as they get a shipment in. I wish they would hold extra at the back instead of always saying«well, that’s all we have». They know these two oils are very popular. They’re also out of Castor oil a lot as well.

I started going here in the ’90’s when I used to live in Ft. Worth. I must say that I love their chocolate ice cream, it’s one of the best. I used to drive over there just for a cone of it. However, the prices are really high there. I can find most if not all of these products online way cheaper. I was there recently and was shocked to find that it still looks the same way it did 14 yrs ago. Go there just for the small café, you might like what they offer.

I really like this store for being able to find the herbals and botanical goods that I look for in order to make a lot of my bitters and tinctures. The apothecary bottles and atomizers for storage and distribution of those mentioned goods are always in stock and of great quality. The sunflower card is a must have because you get 15% off everything, every day, and even more on their Super Tuesday deals. This is great, my only qualm with these cards is that its something more to carry around when you could just regularly have the store not priced 15% in excess. IDK, maybe that’s just me. Anyway, its a cool store, so check it out. Oh, and if you need gluten or lactose free products, like oh, say, ice cream for a certain someone– this place will make you look like a superstar.

I hate giving bad reviews but these people must have a yacht they are paying off somewhere. OMG the prices were so high! I recently moved to Ft. Worth and have up until now been a customer at Herb Mart in Plano. The prices at Sunflower are not just a dollar or two higher they are like $ 5 to $ 10 dollars higher. Holy Crap! It so significant it makes the 50 mile trip to Plano worth it. I can’t believe the mark up on the same brands and products that I normally purchase. I purchased a small 5oz bag of ground chia seed and after going to Sprouts found I could have gotten a whole pound for $ 1 more than I paid at this place. Even with their 15% discount it’s not enough to make up the difference. I’m not desperate enough to pay inflated prices for something I can order by mail or drive 50 miles and get and save some big bucks!

Very very thankful for this place. I’m vegan and they’re my one stop shop for just about everything from soap to foods. Their prices are in line with those of Central Market or Whole Foods, and they’re LOCAL. Definitely a great place for great products!

After starting school in West Fort Worth after moving back from Austin many years ago, I was missing some of my fav organic/local fare.(mostly Sweet Leaf Tea.) One day a girl in my class brought me some saying she bought it from the Sunflower Shoppe. Of course I ran there. The selection is small, which one could expect from a small shop on Camp Bowie. There is a small selection of refrigerated & grocery items, but nowhere near enough to fill a grocery list. Still a refreshing refuge from the bigger stores like Central Market.

I’d been wanting to stop by the Sunflower Shoppe since I moved to Fort Worth last summer, mostly because I was hoping it would provide great local produce and a sense of community that its larger competitor Central Market can’t do(I guess I was hoping for a community board with notices for art/dance/yoga classes…). There wasn’t any real sense of community here, and the food selection is limited to dry goods and a frozen section – both are great, don’t get me wrong, but this is more of a homeopathic/green CVS, not a food market. Sunflower Shoppe is the perfect place to stop by for some natural make-up or chemical-free cleaning products or books on green and healthy living. I’d suggest doing your food shopping somewhere else. That being said, I was super excited about the huge selection of Fair Trade Equal Exchange coffee – I haven’t seen this anywhere else in town, so if you’re a fan this is the place to find it!

I wanted to love this place, I really did. It was the first natural food place I spotted when I moved here. I got giddy with excitement. But I’m sorry I’ve been a bit disappointed after several visits. Its a small shop with a small café. So small shop= small selection. No, there’s nothing wrong with that, but man oh man their prices! Yes, I expect to pay more for these quality items. But when there’s a place an exit down on the highway that offers the same products, but at a cheaper price… chances are I’d rather go there. They do have an awesome offer every first Tuesday of the month. They offer 20% off vitamins, supplements, protein powders etc.(see their website for more details) This offer in itself makes it worth it to shop here. But be warned. Its a zoo on Super Tuesdays, especially late in the afternoon. Their stuff was picked over and the few things I needed weren’t in stock. Another thing I’ve noticed is that their stock isn’t consistent. Sometimes they’ll have soy yogurt, sometimes they won’t. Same with the coconut kefir and their different flavors. This place is fine for me to swing into really quick if I need something small. But I won’t do a majority of my organic and natural foods shopping here.

Another store I’m so glad FW has. One of Ridglea’s finest! Come here for all things health foods, herbal, vegetarian, etc. Not many places in town has what this store has to offer. Prices are def. a little on the high side but it’s OK when you consider the quality of merchandise they sell. Service’s always OK but store is neat, well kempt, and lively. You gotta love the cute little Sunflower Shoppe! I shall return when I can.

i learned soo much about nutrition while i worked here. everyone is really helpful here especially the nutrionists… as i recall, i was pretty close to one of them and she would tell me stories of when she would hang out with jerry garcia… and yes, i gasped. but overall, this the best place in fort worth to go to for homeopathic remedies or just plain good food thats healthy for you!
