I ordered the pat kee Mao and it wasn’t what I was expecting lol I thought it was going to come with flat noodles but it came mainly with red bell pepper and onion. I guess u didn’t pay attention to what I really wanted to order and said the wrong thing but this dish is okay. It’s not something I’d order again. The restaurant look way better now than it did better so major upgrade for them.

Wow a great find in Ft. Worth! The food here is absolutely great! The green curry has a sweet spicy flavor that really pleased the palette. The pad Thai was spicy and very flavorful! The sikhay phở was tasty and had a great broth, which is very important to the quality of the phở. The quantity is more than enough for the low price and the quality is most definitely not sacrificed! Most definitely recommend this restaurant!

Amazing food! I had the green curry and it was smooth, silky and it had a little bit of heat and a hint of sweetness from the coconut milk. It’s super cheap compared to the amount given. Large and filling portion sizes for prices under 10 $. Service is quick and friendly and everything was so delicious! Definitely recommend this place!

Always a great meal! I have been here at least 75 times and always leave very satisfied. It doesn’t hurt that they give 30% discount to Teachers, Firefighters, and Police. The curries are my favorite when dining in and I love the Pad Ki Mao too for take out.

They’re quick, I’ll give them that! The lady said my pick-up order would be ready in 15 mins and sure enough, it was. I ordered the chicken pad thai, beef pad see ew, sticky rice, and Lao sausage. The chicken in the pad Thai was dry and the dish overall was underwhelming. The beef in the pad see ew dish was chewy and tough but I liked the noodles. It was my first time trying the Lao sausage and I wish it was served already cut up for you. The sticky rice was good, especially eaten with the Lao sausage. I may give them another try since I’m in that area often, but I was left very disappointed this first time around.

Stop by to pick up lunch n head back to the shop. Portions a good size service is good and priced right. If your ever on this side of town. It’s one of three spots you got to check out.

I had the shrimp pad thai and the pad se ew. The pad thai tasted too sweet for my liking and the shrimp still had the tails on them. The pad se ew was very good. It had the broccoli and carrots mixed in which adds good flavor to the noodles. I also ordered edamame but by the time I took it home the heat took off most of the salt so they were basically plain. In total we spent $ 25 on the 3 dishes. Not a bad price. Will consider coming here again maybe I’ll try the boba next time

I ordered my meal at 1:20pm. It was a pleasant surprise to find that they make bobas, as not all Thai places do. This place is both Thai and Laotian food. I ordered my usual Thai favorite to try: the beef Pad kei Mao/drunken noodles, the Pad Thai, all with the spicy/heat/pepper level of 4 out of 5, and the honeydew melon. The whole meal came to 22.38 not including the 15% tip I paid. The boba was the very first part of my meal that came to me. The restaurant, Thai Rice and noodles have more flavorful boba, but it wasn’t bad. My meal came to me at 1:34pm, so the wait time is not long at all. I checked out the lady’s room meanwhile, and it was clean and nicely decorated like the rest of the restaurant. Each container was nicely labeled, something I’m not used to from Thai places, and the portion size was smaller in comparison to my favorite Thai place down the street: muang Lao Thai. This is the first Thai place to give me chopsticks as an optional«utensil», and the really neat thing is the fact that they have directions on the chopsticks to teach its use, something I’ve never seen before. Okay, so when I first ordered my meal, like I said in the beginning, I ordered it a spicy level of 4, and what they brought out was a 2, so it was not spicy at all, and I asked them to put it back on the grill, after the young man offered to bring out some peppers for me, which is unacceptable to me. That was at 1:48, and I’m really hoping that when the meal is brought back out to me, it’s not made too too spicy out of spite. A young man was kind and professional enough to ask me if I had any issues or problems with the meal, and I explained to him everything and that it was being taken care of. I signed on to the wifi made available to customers, and the dishes came back out at 1:53. Unfortunately, the Pad Thai still fell short of the heat index I required, but the Pad Ki Mao reached it, and not because they made it spicier throughout, but rather because they added a few pieces of jalapeño pepper they warmed up on the grill. Moving on… The meat in both dishes were well seasoned. The noodles in the Pad Ki Mao were slightly overcooked. Incredibly flavorful, the oyster sauce taste dominated everything else in the dish… May be a good thing or a bad thing depending upon your taste. The basil tasted fresh, the egg was real nice in the dish. The vegetables could have been cooked a little longer, they were kind of hard. The Pad Thai: it had the signature lime flavorful to it, but the noodles were kind of dry, there was too much of everything in the dish, and not enough pepper. Honestly, not much to yell about. It seems that I’m sticking to Muang Lao restaurant when it comes to Thai food, and Thai Rice and Noodles when it comes to Boba.

Like that the place is clean and updated. Servers were attentive too. Got mainly appetizers. The fried riblets were my favorite. Flavorful and crispy. Got the chicken wings because I read on here that it’s a must try but in my opinion it was alright. It was crispy but not flavorful and the meat wasn’t juicy or moist.

Sikhay is not located in the nicest of areas but that doesn’t scare me from getting my Laos food cravings taken care of =) I came here for lunch and had their Laos sausage and khao piek moo gob which is basically their noodle soup with fried pork belly. I really enjoyed the sausage. The cucumbers that came with it were great and I asked for more without any extra charge. The khao piek is something I could skip on next time. It was just alright to me and didn’t hit the spot. Service is ok and prices are more than reasonable. I don’t think I would go out of my way to come back.

Update. I’m liking this place less and less. Ordered to go. I ordered thai tea. It was pretty bland and watered down. Pad see ew with chicken and one with pork. When they came out, they both look like chicken. I asked one of the workers and he said they look alike but taste diff. I took it home and it still tasted similar to where I couldn’t tell which was pork or chicken. Regardless I picked one dish where it may be pork. May be… If it was, the dishes were mixed up. The pork was suppose to be spicy, it was not. Luckily I asked for extra spices before I left. But the chicken one is more spicy then I want it to be. So far I don’t know if I would come back. Service is still very nice but it’s ALWAYS dead in here.

I LOVEEVERYTHINGHERE. The Laos food here is as authentic as authentic gets. The servers are always super attentive but not obnoxious. My family usually comes here once a week. I love the remodel! There’s nothing I would need to change about this restaurant. :)

I came back a second time and ordered the pad see ew with chicken and was very disappointed. I’ve had it many times, but this time I didn’t even finish half of it. The chicken was very hard and didn’t taste like chicken at all. And my whole plate consists of little bits of chicken and not enough noodles. But I gave it a 3 star because of the boba, and my bf enjoyed his food.

You’ll get the most traditional Laos/Thai food here! Being half Laos; yes I was raised the Laotian way, I understand it, semi speak the language, and I’ve been to the motherland twice in my life… This place is the closes to getting authentic Laos/Thai food. I’ve only had the food at gathering, parties, or someone’s house. But last month and today I went in as a customer to eat. Ordered neur num tok which is like larb but the beef is semi cooked, larb is sorta like a salad. Delicious, the first time I got level spice 5 which was too hot and today I got 4. Ordered chicken wings which is the crispiest chicken wings I’ve ever had. My boyfriend for pad Thai at level 5. Last time I got kow piek sen which is like a chicken noodle soup but Laos/Thai way. One of my fav dishes!

This place is great! Finally a good Laos restaurant in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. All the dishes were perfectly made and seasoned. My favorite is the Kow Piek. Super delicious noodle soup similar to a Vietnamese noodle soup called, Banh Canh. This is one of my new finds in the DFW. The Laos sausage is really delicious too, with a hint of lemon grass in it. Their customer service was up to par as well. The Laos papaya and cucumber salad were perfect! Just the right amount of spiciness and shrimp paste added. I would go to this restaurant again in a heartbeat. Laos food is pretty similar to Vietnamese food, and this place is pretty close to the Vietnamese business area in Haltom City.
