Very slick almost pop-up style store that you see all over in places like NYC(those guys really looove their sneakers); noticed that they were here on a recent nearby bagel quest and made a special trip out yesterday to get a firsthand view of this spot, directly in the shadow of TCU campus. You’re likely to spy some choice lids here(tons of old school NBA logos, natch), some pretty hip tees(I profess a weakness for picking up cool t-shirts and have undergone a recent purging, or I might have grabbed another one yesterday). Lots of coats in rotation this time of year, and some solid men’s shirts rounded out the selection(picture lots of Stussy brand, and other complimentary makes). While Shogun didn’t necessarily surprise me, I bear a soft spot for these kind of stores and they’re a great addition to the hood. They were running a sale on some of the kicks near the register, one which I managed to stave off this go round. But, it seems pretty likely I’ll be back in.

This store has a great selection of assorted brands to choose from. The owners and employee staff are friendly and helpful. If you’re in the Fort Worth area and looking for the best stretwear shop out there… Then skip the malls and go straight to this place! You’ll find what you need at Shogun!

Are you a fur face boy fan? Do you dread having to order limited brands like Stussy, Tokidoki, 10 Deep and Mishka online because the little boutiques in Dallas that do carry these are out of your size? Let me simplify your life by introducing you to Shogun. Located right off of S. University drive near the TCU campus, Shogun offers not only limited hard to find fresh brands but they have a variety of sizes and salesmen who know their stuff. Yes I made the hour drive up to Ft. Worth and it was totally worth it(made my rounds at the MOMA and other boutiques too). The store is all decked out in black and white furniture with Kidrobot toys, a flat screen TV and game consoles as décor and entertainment. Drake was playing when I walked in and Louis at the store wasted no time in greeting me and letting me know what new items came in and what was on sale. You can check out Shogun’s website for their blogs on store event updates and their newest gear. The latest one I saw showed Rickey Bobby filming his newest music video at the store! Thank you Shogun for opening your doors to the Dallas/Ft. Worth community!
