Only chinese that delivers to downtown fort Worth. So I shouldn’t complain much about the bland food. I had to use the soy sauce packs. Something I never do at asian restaurants.

If I could give less stars, I would. Delivery took nearly two hours. I called after one hour had passed and was assured the driver left the restaurant & was«five or ten minutes away.» I don’t live very far from the restaurant. I doubt I’ll be ordering from here again.

Buffet looked abysmal. Family that came with me said it was ‘meh’ but all were hungry after a long day in the hospital. I ordered from the regular menu. My dish wasn’t too bad but I wouldn’t ever come back. Place also seemed dirty — that never sits well with me.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant. My boyfriend and I go as often as possible. The steamed dumplings, fresh Thai rolls, and Korean noodle soup bowl are our favorites. Definitely recommend!

Food is umm, eh. I got the most basic dish… sesame chicken. Not yummy. However the soup was good and the rangoons. Also my delivery was really fast! The 3 stars is because of the flavor really, the rest was smooth and easy.

Pretty good takeout chinese food. Not exceptional, but solid. Prices are good, too.

Gross. I don’t know what was wrong with the egg roll besides being over fried, but yuck. Everything on the buffet was burnt, or fried to a dark brown, and they had the balls to put it all out any way. They should shut this place down and start over. Really too bad because it’s a bustling area. How the heck do you burn a chicken wing?

Great personal service and friendly employees! Slow delivery, but much quicker pick-up for take-out. Food was good, but though my lacked a little bit of spice.

Some of the ladies in my office order delivery from here with some frequency, so when they invited me to go eat at the restaurant, I decided give it a try. The food was average for a Chinese buffet. But some of the more popular items, like beef egg rolls and the orange chicken, were empty. I assumed they would be refilled, but this was never done while we were there. We tried the soft serve ice cream as a dessert. The vanilla was the consistency of a milk shake. The chocolate like water. On the whole a mediocre lunch.

The food is great, just great! The reason this is not 5 stars is the delivery is soooooooo slow. It took an hour and thirty minutes to get our food. But!!! The wait was worth it. The delivery guy was also very kind as well. Next time I’ll order pick up, but for sure there will be a next time. Good find here for us!

Fantastic. Quick delivery to HI Express downtown. We ordered Crab Rangoons(delicious!!), orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken and chicken Lo mein. All were delicious and delivery was under an hour, as promised!

It was really bad. We placed and order and arrived while they were still cooking. We ordered vegetable lo mein, chicken lo mein, veggie dumplings, and beef egg rolls. The beef egg rolls were(purportedly) fine. We all threw away our lo mein. The dumplings had terrible texture. We won’t be going back. You’re better off at Le’s Wok(two blocks east on Rosedale).

Really great place for Asian fast food. The Indonesian Fried Rice is delicious and spicy! Everything I’ve tried from here is really good. Delivery is the only downside. They took an hour but it was worth the wait!

Staying in a hotel in N Fort Worth while transitioning to new home in the West. Was ecstatic Pappa Changs would deliver to hotel. And they delivered in less than estimated — under an hour. Person who took order used my name many times — nice customer service — and delivery person pleasant. Everything packaged attractively and to accommodate travel time & temperature. Steamed chicken dumplings very good. Crab rangoons appeared to be hand made in restaurant — good. Main course — General Changs Chicken — was supposed to include spring roll when ordered as P41, but spring roll missing. Sauce heavy and veggies truly al dente. Steamed rice great. Bottom line: if we were staying here I’d try again because the menu is extensive. However, since I’m confined for one more night will try another restaurant tomorrow.

This place has exactly what you are looking for… if you are looking for a very limited selection. But, hey, that is not always a bad thing, you know? For starters, I have had my OCD kick in at huge Asian buffet restaurants and almost died of starvation because I didn’t know what to pick. On top of that, have you ever heard the phrase«Jack of all trades, master of none»? Yeah, some Asian buffets might be over the top with selection while giving you«so-so» food. This is not the case with Pappa Chang’s. Although they may be small, their food is prepared very well. So, here’s the food stuff reviews: Fried Rice — very good, very fresh, very fluffy. Rice Noodles — my absolute favorite. Best I have ever had. Jalapeño Chicken and Shrimp — pairs very well with the Rice Noodles and is very, very tasty. Pot Stickers — as Al Pacino said in Scent of a Woman, Whoo Ah!(the sauce is in a bottle to the right of the pot stickers) I have tried other things there as well and all are very good, but my preferences keep me siding with the above. The place is small, but there is plenty of seating. Additional parking in the rear if the front parking lot is full(front parking is very limited).

Last night, based on other Unilocal reviews, I called in an order for vegetable spring rolls and chicken teriyaki with fried rice. The total was $ 16.92. The fried rice was good. I did not get spring rolls but, egg rolls and a fist full of packaged sauces. The chicken teriyaki was terrible. The chicken was so dry that it must have been simmering in a big pot for a long time. The green bell peppers overpowered the sauce; that was all I could taste. Today, I waited until 3:30 p.m., after the lunch rush, to call in my complaint but, the manager had stepped out. I left my name, number and a list of my complaints with an employee. I waited until 6:20 to call(I need to do some other things) and the manager was there. The manager wanted me to return the food. After I told him that I had thrown out the teriyaki chicken because it wasn’t worth keeping, he asked me how he was expected to believe me.(Perhaps mine tasted so bad was because it had been recycled from a prior dissatisfied customer.) He said that next time, he would give me some vegetables, spring rolls or something. No, I don’t think so.

It has been settled! Although I have plenty of options for delivery in my area, I will ONLY order from Pappa Changs. The food is phenomenal, the portions are too generous,(the prices are too cheap); and the delivery time is too fast. But most importantly, to me, is they have numerous VEGAN options! Did i forget to mention that they will bring you any chai/matcha/thai/boba tea blend to your door? Forgive my enthusiasm, but why order an unhealthy pizza, or a soggy hoagie, when you could have asian(fusion) excellence?

I use to order from Pappachangs from home atleast every 2 or 3 times a month. While looking for lunch at work one week we I found out they delivered to my office location. I got all my co-workers hooked on th container em as well. Unfortunately I will never order from them again!!! We placed a large order at work on Friday and received 2 pappa chang salads with grilled shrimp, big issue all of the shrimp were charred. When we called back and explained to the manager that the shrimp were burnt he went ballistic. He kept talking over us, yelled at us, and even hung up on us. He made me drive over there after work to show him the shrimp and snatched the from my hand and basically tossed my refund at me. HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE!!! AVOIDTHEHEADACHE!!!

After four years of going to this place, Pappa Chang’s still got it. They really own the whole authentic-but-cheap Asian food scene in Fort Worth. There’s no frills, no ambience, to the place, but they make quality food and it comes out quickly. I like the pad kee mow and pretty much any fried rice dish they have(especially the Nasi Goreng). They also do delivery, which is wonderful.

The Thai Spring Rolls are good, but they seem a little hurried in their construction. They are about 70 percent rice noodles and 30 percent everything else — cilantro, carrot, Napa cabbage(?) and shrimp. Not the best I’ve ever had, but not bad. They are served with a peanut sauce, which is good. I’d have preferred a Thai sweet/hot sauce to go along with it. The Hot & Sour Soup is rich. It’s a little on the salty side, but the slightly sour comes through. There’s not much spicy about it, still the consistency is divine — strands of egg in a rich thickened broth, with bits of mushroom, chicken and bamboo shoots. This is definitely a good Hot & Sour Soup. I ordered the Chang’s Spicy(steak), not knowing what to expect, and I’m pleasantly surprised. I’m not sure what the dish is supposed to taste like, but the tender beef with mushrooms, carrots, snow peas and onions — bathed in a rich ginger-scented sauce is good. When I can, I order an eggplant dish, and Pappa Chang’s said they had it. So, I(special) ordered eggplant in garlic sauce. Though the eggplant was disguised with too many other veggies — Bell peppers, onions, carrots, celery, mushrooms — it was delicious. I really appreciate that they included Shiitake mushrooms in the mix, considering how difficult they are to get hold of. Bottom line: These folks know what they’re doing. I don’t know anything about their buffet or in-house customer service, but I can say that the young lady who took my order was quite polite, as was the gentleman who delivered to my hotel room. I’d probably ask them next time to put more eggplant in my special order, but I can still say that I’m pleased with this place.
