The best mattress we have ever owned!
We did the research hours and hours of eyes glazed over so much information to digest, it took us hours, night after night we worked and educated ourselves. It caused fights, my husband was ready to throw in the towel the and purchase one of those expensive mattresses even though the reviews not so hot some people loved their sleep number and temperpedic some people hated it a year later. I was not going to risk spending that much money and hating it a year later. And and these very expensive mattress’ are only expected to last on average 8 years! $ 3000 for 8 years! Finally we decided to learn more about latex, latex sounds weird a rubber bed, bio degradable? huh? But all the reviews for latex were positive in all our research we could not find negative reviews! Think about that, no negative reviews. Then ONLY place we could find a real true flip-​able latex mattress was here at the Original Mattress Factory, they make all kinds of mattress’ but we wanted a latex flip-​able. Our mattress will last for 30 years and if it gets a dip I can flip it if that doesn’t work I can bring it back for a new layer! This is a family owned business, made in TEXAS Y’all! and yes the «store isn’t pretty, its in a stretchy neighborhood. Hello its a factory a real working actual factory! Not really a store.
We have been sleeping comfortably now for one year! 29 more to go!

Went here looking for a mattress after reading about the pros of «local factory direct» on another site.
Pros: It is kind of neat to be able to look back into the factor and see where their mattresses are built. I appreciate that they still make flippable mattresses.
Cons: Their prices advertised on their website were nowhere to be found. Their halfway decent spring mattresses were $ 950+ and they were pushing latex HARD at $ 2200. Not really any better pricing than a department store, and low number of options.
Their spring mattresses felt really cheap and poorly made compared to a competitor (another local factory direct) at the same price point.
The store is really dark and dingy. I understand it’s attached to a factory and am all about keeping overhead low, but it just was really poor compared to what I expected from their website. The store is also in a very sketchy area from what I could tell (we drove over from Dallas so I wasn’t expecting the very large homeless population around the area). They do have a fenced parking lot, and I am not dinging them for the location on stars, but just as a heads up for anyone going there.
The sales guy was very pushy and used traditional salesy techniques. He was spouting marketing misinformation about gel foam, had an «internet coupon» he could use to lower the price of the bed, and was very aggressive about trying to «overcome objections» when we told him we didn’t think any of the mattresses were a fit and were going to leave. Would definitely not recommend this place, there are better options at much lower prices.

Amazing prices and service. Everything is custom made. We bought a queen sized box spring and the price beat any other price at any mattress store. Great find!
