18 years ago I went to Dr. Granek for bi-​lateral retinal detachment surgery secondary to a tanning bed incident. To this day surgeons in his field of ophthalmology comment on his amazing work and cannot believe I had the surgery so long ago. They always assume that the surgery was done in the not so distant past because of Dr. Granek’s advanced technique. He doesn’t have the best bedside manner but who cares? The man is a genius who routinely operates on preemies. My friend who took me to my post-​surgical appointments and I would joke that he is from another planet. :)
Anyway, who remembers the Physician that operated on her 18 years ago? Exactly. He is amazing.
