This was one of my favorite restaurants and I was a weekly customer. One day I called to place a to go order and was told they were too busy for to go orders and hung up. I was completely baffled this is how they would treat a loyal customer. Don’t go there for the customer service

Food was great – it was def homemade.(Better than Olive Garden) Staff seems to be slow at reacting to guest and overwhelmed.

It’s authentic as shit here. We came on a saturday around 2 and it wasn’t busy at all. We got the table with the painted view of venice and a man on a gondola. Moms got the fettuccine delicati with artichokes, mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes– which she liked– and this woman is hard to please. My bro went classic and had the chicken parm. I had the lemon chicken with spinach risotto. It was pretty tasty I’ve never had anything like that before. I especially liked the older italian men serving the food they were very attentive.

The absolute best Italian in town. Don’t expect a quick in and out meal, service is slow as heck, but we go for the food and atmosphere. You can tell everything from the bread to the noodles is made from scratch with care and quality. The lasagna and spaghetti with meat sauce are my favorites, and give you more than enough to get some leftovers for the next day. My husband says the chicken parm is his favorite. We went here on our first date, and it’s just as wonderful as ever! We’ve tried branching out and trying other Italian places in town, and are left disappointed every time, missing the deliciousness that is Fortunas!

The service was a little slow; I am currently writing this review but have yet to receive water or bread. However; I have been here before, and I can speak very highly about the bread. It is endless and it is delicious. Full of herbs and full of dough. The baked pastas are always a good call. The ambience receives a 10⁄10 stars. It’s a little hole-in-the-wall Italian place with great murals. And, if you write a review, you get a free appetizer! Hence this review.

Fortuna has great pizza, chicken Alfredo and cannoli but the service was horrible. We had to flag down each time we needed anything. The servers were in the back pretty much the whole time. Smh!

They have a semi private room which we used for our Christmas party. We were actually most of the crowd that night so the noise level was good. I had the veal picatta. I’ve been places where they didn’t cook the veal right but my dish was good. The meal came with bread but not a salad. I would definitely eat here again. We were doing a gift exchange there. For some reason they decided to box up our desserts to go with our names on it. I was the group contact and had not requested this. I was told by a member of my group to make an announcement for those that had dessert to go to the counter and get it. The waitress was a little huffy with me when she told me more people had picked up desserts than ordered. Since I had not requested it I think it could have been handled differently. They should have kept track of the desserts as I was paying the bill than being irritated with me about extra desserts. The service was good except for when our guests arrived they all wanted wine immediately. They told them they would take their order but apparently so many women wanting wine at the same time caused them to form a line at the register which was probably more efficient. My feet stuck to the carpet in two places so much so that at one point, my momemtum after standing there for a few minutes caused me to lurch forward. Carpet definitely is way past cleaning in that room. My star rating is lower because of the dessert and carpet. I would definitely go there again.

Let me preface by saying that I have been in search for the best pizza in Fort Worth. Sadly this was no where close. I ordered a 10“pepperoni and mushroom. The crust I found to be soggy and I’m guessing it was the juice from the canned mushrooms. You can’t claim to be an Italian restaurant and use canned veggies sorry. I found the garlic cheese bread with tomatoes appetizer really good. All in all it was a sub par experience and would not go out of my way for their pizza. I will say in closing the Wait staff is great though.

Waited 10+ minutes and no one came by to take our drink order, with only one other couple in the place. I had to get up and find someone. I could hear the staff arguing about it, but no one came. Finally the bus boy came and took our order. The only reason they didn’t get one star was the food was pretty good.

This place is conveniently located in Camp Bowie Blvd, with food being one of the best I’ve tried among many different Italian restaurants. We ordered a lobster bisque as an appetizer, caprise salad with grilled chicken, and tutti di mare recommended by our server along with cabernet sauvignon by the glass. As soon as order was taken, server brought us fresh rolls that were served with balsamic vinaigrette and olive oil, which was amazing! While we were devouring ourselves with rolls, our server brought our food one by one lobster bisque was hot, creamy, and delicious just as we had expected. The caprise salad was undeniably good having a right proportion of mozzarella cheese and tomato with balsamic dressing drizzled on top. I was surprised how grilled chicken had just enough smoky flavor with it being chewy and moist at the same time.(however, ask for grilled chicken on the side) Tutti di mare had generous portion of seafood, with the sauce and pasta creating savory flavor. Cabernet partnered very well with our food and prices for the wines were awesome I would definitely come back soon to try different food items in the menu. My review overall, do not waste your money on chain Italian restaurants. After the first visit to Fortuna, you’ll find yourself coming back again ;)

We love Fortuna! They have the BEST eggplant parmesan I’ve had, maybe anywhere. The rolls are so yummy and I just love their marinara sauce. It’s the perfect casual, family-friendly, red sauce Italian spot. Service is great too. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is the atmosphere/décor. It could use some updating. It seems they do a lot of take-out business — maybe that’s why!

Trying a new resturant tonight. Having driven past Fortuna several times, I finally stopeed; it looked interesting. The fresh made Italian bread knots are incredible. Pace yourself and limit yourself to only one. Seriously, limit yourself. The Fortuna salad was flavorful but a little heavy with the dressing: almost as if it were made earlier in the day. However, it was completely consumed. I ordered the veal marsala, yum. Served with fresh fettuccine and ample sauce full of mushrooms. The veal, as expected could be cut with a fork(and in too many establishments requiring a knife… a sharp knife). Very pleased with quality of the veal, the freshness of the pasta, the ample amount of thin sliced mushrooms, and the sauce… the best marsala sauce that I have ever tasted. Really. My wife ordered veal canneloni. Huge portion of delicate pasta bursting with tender ground veal, fresh spinach and parmesean. It was topped with a beautiful tomato cream sauce. Definitely took a to-go container as she could not eat it all. Dessert…well, not enough room for dessert. Remember I said to limit your early bread consumption? You will HAVE to drag at least half a bread knot through the marsala sauce! That filled up my dessert pouch. We will be back, often.

I really struggled with this one because the food was outstanding! Bread was hot and fresh. The chicken picatta was light and lemony– my father had veal Marsala and ate every bite. My mother had veal caprise and she loved it! The reason I gave it 3 stars is because the service was awful. Only two servers on a Saturday evening and they were extremely inattentive. Took forever to greet us when we first sat down and never cleared plates or refilled drinks. I may give it one more chance just because the bread was so delightful!

Hidden Gem! decided to visit because of my friends recommendations, figured it was a good decision! Food — Bread was fresh/hot along with the tasty olive oil/herbs/balsamic dip! :D Salad was fresh with light but flavorful dressing. For main dishes, we had Chicken Parm, Chicken Picatta, Tutti Mare. Chicken Parm trivial but tasty. Chicken Picatta(Chicken/linguini with lemon butter sauce) had a very intriguing taste, flavorful, not heavy but not light. Tutti Mare was more of a unique dish which tasted like spicy bongole with fish/mussels/clams? For desserts, we had tiramisu and cannoli. Cannoli had a slight taste of cinnamon. Both had the appropriate amount of sweetness. We had to ask the server for wine recommendations(both red/white). We liked both of them, perfectly paired with the food we had. Overall, I had no complaints about any of its food. All meats and pasta were cooked just right, portions were right, display was not too excessive but still adequate, price was more than reasonable, and ingredients were fresh. Service — No word needed. All servers were nice and prompt. Ambiance — Though it won’t look so elegant from outside, it is clean and cozy inside, could get somewhat romantic as well by giving you a feeling as if you were in a local restaurant of an Italian countryside cities. Good for family, dates, girls night, special occasion, dates, late night, kids, or big groups. + convenient parking. Tip — If you are not sure of what to order, or which wine to pair your food with, just ask! They are usually pretty good with recommendations. They have lunch specials and weekly special. Weekly special seems to be announced to individuals on site, not online? but I’ve heard they usually are phenomenal. I would definitely come back sometime soon!

Fortuna has always been one of those places I forget about and every time I drive by it– I always remind myself to stop in. It’s your typical mom and pop Italian place with murals painted on the walls, fake wines and grapes hanging around, no stand out menu items — the whole shabang. Our server was so nice and was really funny, everything came out warm and correct. The food was just meh. Nothing great. The chicken seemed a little rubbery and drenched in butter so stick with a pasta dish.

Love the chicken parmigiana. My fiancée gets it every time. I like to try different things but sometimes regret not getting the chicken parm.

Pros: Great service and good food. The buttered bread was awesome. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Made a custom dish for me and it was great. Good coffee. Cons: Its way out in Fort Worth and I live in Dallas. Parking is not as ample as I would like.
