Cmb was very good as they did everything they said they would. I definitely would use them again.

Absolutely terrible service. First of all, they never make it to an appointment on time. Second of all, they seem to have no idea what they are talking about. On Wednesday, July 1st, our AC stopped working. Our landlord called the Home Owner Warranty Company(they are who the warranty on the unit is under) and they sent CMB out on Friday, July 3rd, to look at the unit. After their inspection of the unit, they told us that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the AC unit. They turned on the unit and left. A weekend goes by and the AC stopped working AGAIN on Monday, July 6th. We crawled up into the attic to see that the unit had frozen up. CMB was called again to come look at the unit. On Tuesday, July 7th, because temperatures were reaching 90° in the house and they hadn’t showed up by 5p.m., we turned on the AC for a couple of hours. They show up at 7p.m. on Tuesday, completely unannounced(no phone call to let us know they that were coming), to look at the AC unit. They went to look at the unit and it was«completely frozen solid» after the AC had only been running for 2 hours, so they couldn’t work on it. He turned off the AC and made an appointment for Thursday, July 9th, to once again, see what was wrong with the unit. The guy shows up 3 hours later than the time he was supposed to be here on Thursday. He went to look at the AC unit and to our surprise, it was frozen up again! We had not touched or even thought about touching the thermostat. The AC unit had not been on since Tuesday and it was still«completely frozen solid.» He even looked at the thermostat and it was off. He then told us that the AC unit can not freeze if it has not been on, basically calling us liars. The AC unit has been off since Tuesday. There is no possible was that it can be frozen unless there is something wrong with the thermostat. So here we are, still sitting in an unconditioned house, with temperatures expected to be in the 100’s next week. I would not recommend their service to anyone.

They told me I had a leak. Charged me over $ 850.00 to add freon. It all leaked out the next day. Said they told me they couldn’t tell me if the leak was big or not and I agreed to adding the freon. Which I did. But I couldn’t afford the only two other options at $ 3,500.00 and $ 6,500.00. Had another contractor come out who said the hole was very large and they should have known it would leak out immediately and not added the freon. They didn’t do anything illegal just really bad customer service.

What a horrible company. Couldn’t hit the 5 hour window they had given for a service call — tech didn’t show up until 11PM. No interest in fixing AC and never called with disposition of home warranty coverage. If I could give less than 1 star I would.

I could not agree more with the previous reviewer. How CMB Mechanical stays in business is beyond me. 1.5 weeks to get someone to show up at my property to get the AC looked out. After various fictitious excuses from CMB on why they had not been able to get to the property in all that time, I ran out of patience and requested my Home Warranty company send another AC company. The new AC company was contacted in the late afternoon, and by the very next morning that new company was at the house, and had repaired the unit.

AWFUL! Run, don’t walk away from this company! They told us they couldn’t fix our a/c when they arrived because it was running too hot(it had been turned off for days, and it was 88 degrees in the house, with kids), and then called our home warranty company the same day and told them they had fixed it! We had another company out the next day and it was fixed within hours.
