My sister and I have always been huge Billy Miner’s fans. The staff greets us personally and always makes us feel special. They are super nice and sociable(: The new Billy Miner’s is just as tasty as before, thank goodness! I was hooked on the hotdogs and cheese fries before, so I was extra picky when coming to the new location, and I was not a bit disappointed! Food is still awesome(: I’d choose those cheese fries over any other food at any other restaurant any day(:

As a former customer of the REAL Billy Miners, we decided to stop by sat evening and give it a try, Three of us and all i can say is JUSTNOTTHESAME, the burgers are mediocre at the best, Dry pre-made frozen patties, Order of Onion rings Nothing to brag about here either, the wedge fries were the best thing we had, A good place for a cold beer 2.50 draw, but that is about it, I see no reason to go back.

Ah, another day road trip out of our hood one Saturday afternoon. We find these journeys so much fun, as we always discover new spots heretofore unknown. This trip, we stumbled upon this dive-y little spot in the Stockyards area. We saddled up to the bar and were quickly greeted by the bartender, Chris. During our visit, Chris told us BMS was a favored spot in Sundance Square for over twenty years, and after a change in ownership, closed in the summer of 2010. This reincarnation just opened about a month ago. Décor is sort of a Western theme, with pics on the wall of Billy Miner, an infamous, but not always successful, train and stagecoach robber back in the late 1800’s. BMS is a casual spot, with sort of a sports bar feel, and a warm, comfy atmosphere. It’s very small, with a nice sized bar area and a few tables scattered in the long rectangular space. There is also a very large covered patio with picnic style tables. The limited menu offerings include sandwiches, salads, hot dogs, & burgers(which are purported to be some of the best in the FTW area). It was very early afternoon, so we were two of only about 8 patrons in the place. Chris was most attentive and friendly and chatted with us(Proudly, I might add) about the forthcoming imminent birth of his daughter. He was expecting a call any hour to rush to the hospital. It was still pretty comfortable outside, so we took our frosty, ice cold brews to the patio and enjoyed the nice weather. We met the Manager, Cheryl, who was most welcoming and thanked us for stopping by. This will definitely be a go-back-to spot when our travels find us in the area of Cow Town. :)(Chris surprised us by saying«the first round is on me». What a nice gesture. Thanks Chris !!)
