What an amazing space! The Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival’s «Desserts After Dark» event took place here at 809, and it was the perfect place. From the outside you might not expect much, but as soon as you walk in you see that it’s totally modern, cool, and spacious. A lovely raw space that you could easily transform into whatever themed event you want. White brick walls and glossy cement floors… a simple but lovely backdrop for a party. «Desserts After Dark» didn’t have any sort of specific«décor» going on, just simple tables and bars set up both inside and out. Even at a relatively bare state, 809 has an amazing vibe going on! The openness and cool lighting add to its super chic and artsy ambiance. This would be an incredible venue for a wedding and/or reception. You’ll be that unique and worldly couple that introduces guests to a mysterious and elegant space. The bathrooms are clean and easy to access, and there are two separate indoor spaces connected by a short corridor. The entrance space is a bit smaller, but both have ample room for partying. The outdoor space is HUGE and beautiful. Gravel, simple landscaping, strewn lights, and plush white furniture for lounging. There’s no cover outside, so if you’re planning an outdoor event you might inquire about a backup plan if the weather misbehaves. 809 is a raw space, so you’re totally able to bring in your own food and drink from outside vendors — a nice luxury. You can create an event that’s thoroughly unique to you! Now I just need a big party to plan…

This venue was the site for our rehearsal dinner. We needed a medium to large space since we invited all the out-of-town relatives and friends. It’s a beautiful building and the rental fee was extremely reasonable. I know they had lots of plans to expand and improve at the time we rented it, so it probably looks even more amazing now. I highly recommend it for hosting an event, especially if you want to save money by bringing in your own caterer, beverages, etc. The only«con» to it was the parking situation(there wasn’t a lot that I saw nearby, just some street parking), but I didn’t hear anyone saying anything about having difficulty finding a space. The venue did provide us the name of a valet company that seemed very reasonably priced to get around that issue, too.

I cannot say it enough that choosing to have our wedding at 809 at Vickery was the start of something great. The venue has a distinctly cool aesthetic, it’s reasonably priced and the owners –Mary and Jane — are extremely helpful and patient. Because we chose 809 as our venue, we were able to stay calm, cool and damn near collected for our nupts. When you visit 809, you’ll see a unique style and palette of colors –from the succulents and cactus mixed with gravel and light brick in the reception hall … the aesthetic of 809 is consistent and provides a great, semi-blank(but ultimately cool) backdrop for any event. It photographed so well. Everyone talked about how neat the space is and a lot of the details of the space really jump out at you and add to whatever decorations you go with. We had such an easy time working with the owners and our vendors had nothing but the best to say about the venue’s ease of accessibility and layout. If you haven’t picked a place for your Fort Worth wedding, I seriously recommend 809 at Vickery. We had a great experience. Major plusses: – Affordable – Bring your own food/booze – Super helpful owners – Great looking venue What can I say? Get married here.
