Food was Ok, ambience left something to be desired. Had General Tso chicken it tasted more like honey BBQ. Large portions but probably will try somewhere new next time out

The best food comes from the mom and pop, hole in the wall restaurants. New Hong Kong is no exception, and while the restaurant itself is not much to look at, all the effort is clearly put into the food. If you’re craving Chinese on the north side of the Fort, this is the best place to get your chow(or chow mein) on! The food is as plentiful as it is inexpensive, plus they’re open ’til 10pm, so it’s a favorite among IPFW students and those searching for a late dinner alike.

We had Won Ton Soup, Steamed Dumplings, and Chicken with Broccoli. It was close to typical takeout, but a little better than usual. It took them quite some time to make it, but maybe that suggests a little more love ‘n care, and perhaps freshness.

This is one of the two closest Chinese restaurants that I know of near IPFW, and this one is predominately takeout. New Hong Kong is okay… the portions(like any Chinese takeout) are very generous. The price is right for college students. I came here many, many times in my Fort Wayne life… I don’t think I ever ate in the actual restaurant. That being said, I almost always got the General Tso Chicken. It was usually pretty good. Sometimes you would get a rough piece of chicken. The sauce was very good, though. It’s a great option to keep in mind if you want Chinese delivery /take out at IPFW.
