Love love love Ms. Kitt and her curry chicken dinners! She makes sure my husband gets plenty of food. Highly recommended!

Consistently good food, but the customer service is lacking, particularly when the teenagers are manning the counter. No greeting, a blank stare, mumbling and reluctance to state the cost, no urgency or swiftness in taking my order or giving it to the kitchen-dragging her feet like she’s just getting out of bed. No thank you, not even so much as have good day. The finishing touch: the young woman put my food in a bag, tied the bag, put it on the counter and began walking to the kitchen. Since I was the only customer there-I asked if that order was mine. The only answer: Mmhmm. I’ve met the woman who owns the restaurant and she is a lovely, attentive person who prides herself on professionalism and good food. When she’s not there-it’s completely different

Just happened upon this place and was not disappointed. I ordered the oxtail stew over spinach rice with cabbage and a small order of plantain. 1st the portion was generous and the flavors absolutely delicious. I’ve found a place for Caribbean food cravings.

The food was great. I had the Shrimp Roti, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Tucked away in a little shopping center, you have to look for this place. But I must say I will be going back again. I usually go to Upper Marlboro, but this place is much closer, and I must say the service is better. The owner came out and greeted me and she had such a beautiful spirit. I will be going back. Only problem is what should I try next. Decisions Decisions.

Ordered oxtails with peas and rice. I questioned the ordered and was assured it was right. What I got was plain rice. When you spend $ 30 you should get what you order. Today the food lacked favor. I will not ever patronize this place again!

This restaurant has the best Caribbean food hands down! The staff is friendly, the food is flavorful, take it from a West Indian and I’ve tried many of the Caribbean spots in the DMV, and this is by far one of the best hands down(and it’s walking distance from my home! Yeah I’ll be eating there often!)

Jerk chicken wings and jerk chicken meal served with white rice and cabbage. Good presentation and very flavorful indeed but Spicy alright. Can dine in or take out. Dining room is very nice with relaxing colors and jamming Caribbean music. I think the Owner’s children were hanging out in the dining room and making a lot of noise so much so I was determined to just get it to go. But before I could do that, they already brought out the food and it was nicely presented so we stayed. Service was friendly but I’ll just do takeout next time.

So I used to eat here once a month(sometimes more) when it was owned by another family and called«Caribbean Masala». I loved the oxtails. I loved the coco bread. I loved the rice and peas, cabbage and the potatoes(!). I loved, loved the curry goat. I loved the roti(all of them). Then ownership changed. And I thought the food would change for the worse. And I was wrong! I don’t eat there as frequently as I once had, but when I do, I still love what I’m eating.

First time here was today. I have been living in the area and never knew about this spot. I love it. I got the shrimp roti and will be back to try more dishes. Location is close to home and on my way to work(i work in the evenings) so i will be picking up dinner in days to come. I will update with more dishes that I get from here.

I come here alot. Great service and Great Caribbean food. The Roti is awesome. Sorell is delicious! The curry Goat dish is awesome! Noodle dish is great! Sometimes the wait is a bit much and the register/ordering can be a little disorganized. Will continue to support them!

Very friendly staff and I love the chicken Roti. I first came here back in 2010 and still come in when craving Jamaican Roti. Flavor is key they have it.

First impression is a lasting impression I’ve really tried to like this place, but everytime the price is different and the food is lukewarm and dry. I like to get the chicken roti but it’s dry and only a few pieces of chicken and a whole lot of potatoes. And not the traditional Caribbean seasoning, very bland. I agree with the other reviewer, they seem very unorganized and not very friendly. If you are ever in Mitchellville on Central Ave try Negril the best Caribbean food around!

Recently my organization used Sapodilla’s catering services for a VIP event. We were very impressed by the level of care we received when placing our order as well as the presentation on the day of the event. Our caterer(who is also one of the owners), Samantha, brought her own set up of very beautiful silver chaffing dishes and even stayed to replenish the food throughout the event. We had green beans, a sweet type of chicken with peppers, a delicious baked fish dish, meatballs, rice and spinach dip. Everyone who purchased the VIP tickets were very pleased by the meal. It helped to make our event extra special! We look forward to using Sapodilla’s again in the future!

I’m not too sure where to start with this review, however I can say that I am a fan! Sapodilla’s is located in a small strip mall off Livingston Road in Fort Washington! However, upon entry you are immediately enticed by the aroma wafting through the establishment! Upon entry we were greeted by a very nice woman who helped us make our choices! The Guy chose jerk chicken, cabbage and rice and peas! I chose oxtail stew with rice and peas! Let me start off by saying that the cabbage, yes I said the cabbage was excellent! And that was just the begining! The jerk chicken have about 4 pieces and was extremely tender and flavorful! The Guy graciously let me take a bite just to write this review, but he did not come off of it easy! I had the oxtail stew and it was delicious! The stew was rich and the oxtail a were tender and succulent! We also ordered a large strawberry, banana and mango smoothie that was just as delicious! Expensive, but delicious! To say that this place is awesome is an understatement, this place is amazing! The Guy and I found like we just discovered a pot of gold I Fort Washington! The service was excellent and I will definitely be back for more!

THEYRANOUTTAOXTAILS!!! Honeyyyyy… Naaaawwww. So I love Caribbean food and was craving, actually salivating for some yummy oxtails. I mean I had been dreaming about them«thangs.» I usually go to a spot in Clinton, MD but this venue I found was much closer to my home & had good reviews. I called about 2 hours before I arrived to make sure they had some oxtails available… they ensured me they did. So I continued on with my daily workout with plans to visit after I was finished. So I arrive, approximately 2 hours later. I walked into a heaven of delicious aromas. Mmmmm mmmmm. But my hopes & dreams were quickly shattered when the young lady informed me they where completely out of oxtails!!! Noooooooo…“I wasn’t READY!!!” I was soooo pissed. I think I just stood there in shock for a few seconds. The guy waiting behind me actually started laughing at me. Smh… uggggg. I ended up ordering a Curry Salad and a Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Juice(The #2, called the Headache). The salad was actually pretty good, albeit definitely not my oxtails. I think I was trying to fool my taste buds into believing it was oxtails… didn’t work. I also ordered my BFF some Jerk Chicken. I tried a piece and it was pretty good as well. OK guys, once I receive my oxtails, I’ll update this review. But you cannot… cannot…cannot run outta oxtails midway through the day!!!

The jerk wings was so delicious and tasty… I can that becoming a craving, I was able to taste the oxtail and curry chicken full flavor!!! I went with the red snapper escovitch style it was DELICIOUS!!! This is an awesome spot for carribean cuisine!!! Gotta try it!!!

My grandmother was in the Ft. Washington hospital, and after sitting there all day I was in desperate need of a good meal. SaPoDilla’s did NOT disappoint. I had the Shrimp Roti and she was able to prepare it for me without the tails and I LOVED it. I ate there 3 days straight the whole time my grandmother was in the hospital. Generous portions allowed me to have a part of my meal for lunch and the rest for dinner. Very fresh and flovorful. I live in Upper Marlboro and will definitely make the drive to visit again.

My husband heard about this place from a coworker and we decided to try put yesterday. I am not a big carribean food Eater(because I don’t like a lot of spices in my food. Very sensitive taste buds) but my husband is. We heard they had a juice bar so that was enough incentive for me. Anyway we decided to dine in and I’m so glad we did. I had the stewed chicken, rice, and cabbage. Hubby had curry chicken, rice, and spinach. This was the best Caribbean food I’ve ever eaten!!! So fresh(the spinach was actually still green. The Peppers were still crunchy) and tasty. The service was excellent! Our server was very sweet, and quick. We also got a chance to talk to the owner regarding possibly doing a small event there. She literally sat down with us and explained how their catering works. She was very personable. I believe her name is Marva. Lastly, we had our server prepare several juices for us to take home(wev are big juicers). The juice was amazing! Is nice ti finally have a place that serves fresh juice in Maryland. I Am so thankful we found this place. I’ll be back soon.

I had a good meal last time but the flavor of today’s snapper was ridiculously good! So curry snapper it is for me!!! Decided on spinach instead of cabbage and both are great so you can’t go wrong either way! I am very happy that their owner left the corporate world and brought this to the community as it is a GREAT addition!
