Prices are terrific, service even better, and the sushi has never let us down. This is absolutely tops for satisfying a yearning for a quick carryout. We feel special in they way they treat customers. Fresh ingredients. Great value. My only disappointment was that on my first visit, I learned that they had been open for quite awhile, and I did not even know it.

I looovvveeee Japan Café! I’ve been a customer since they first opened! The sushi options on this side of town are very limited (non existent) to say the least. I used to have to drive across the bridge to MoMo’s in Virginia to get a quick sushi fix and now, I no longer have to venture into another state to get my takeout urge quenched. I usually order the «Hawaiian» specialty roll which is no longer on the menu, it’s spicy crab meat & mango, topped with Tuna and Salmon finished with honey wasabi drizzling. I’m letting my secret out! The staff is very nice, especially the lady (her name slips my mind) that does most of the register transactions. She is always soo friendly, she remembers my order whenever I call, bc again, its no longer on the menu, and she assures the order is on point, down to NOT having to request chopsticks bc its already included! I also get the shrimp dumplings time/​time. If you’re in the area and want to have a nice option for sushi, this establishment is definitely the place to try. This is a carryout type of location, not formal/​expensive dine in option but I’ve never been disappointed.

Best stirfry in this area it is a great place to go if you want some chicken and shrimp teriyaki the best place in this area I cannot say that enough. The food always taste great never a long wait pretty much never had a complaint and is always satisfied with my meal

My go to local spot for a nice filling dinner. Always fresh and not stingy with the chicken by any means! They charge extra for extra sauce but it’s like .50 it’s all good. I recommend for foot eats!

Close to my workplace, this is my go-​to Japanese restaurant for lunch. The bento boxes are my usual and they haven’t disappointed since. Nice people too. I wish them prosperity and more customers!

The best teriyaki chicken in fort washington area. It can be pricey, but they are never stengy with the amount of food that they give you. I love the owners. Been dealing with them since 2001.

This place is near the Guy, so I decided to check it out on my way over. It is located in a strip mall near the YMCA, and oddly placed right next door to a Chinese food restaurant. Upon entry, it is empty. I wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. Either way, we ordered small portions of shrimp and scallop teriyaki and chicken teriyaki, the chicken teriyaki roll, shrimp tempura roll, and we received a chicken dumpling order for free!
The food was very good and very fresh. However, they go very light on the teriyaki sauce. Unbeknownst to me, they charge for extra sauce. Had I known that extra sauce may be necessary, I would have purchased up front. However, I will know for next time. Yes, I said next time. The food was very good! Not heavy either! The Guy ordered noodles with his meal and I ordered rice. They meals were accompanied with cabbage as well. Very good!
They woman at the front counter was very nice and our food was cooked to order and ready in less than 15 minutes! I will definitely go back here! Their food was delicious for a neighborhood pick up spot!

Ordered a few rolls of sushi to go and was disappointed in the bland flavor of the rice. Its like they didn’t add rice vinegar to the rice. I had to dip the sushi in soy sauce to give it some flavor.
Other menu items were good.
Will try again in a few months.

I was pleased with the sushi I ordered! It’s not the best I’ve had by far BUT for the price it’s right :) I had the shrimp tempura roll and California… the tempura had lettuce which was a little different for me, but ehh it was good! I’ll definantly be coming back!

Great lunch and dinner size portions for both me and my wife. Sushi isn’t what you would call «top-​notch» but it is excellent for the price you pay. My wife is partial to the bento boxes which are the perfect size for her. Wish the dining area was bigger but for takeout you’d be hard-​pressed to find a better deal. Customer service is always fantastic.

I was excited to see a sushi restaurant finally in the neighborhood. I ordered several rolls and tempura shrimp. I was very much disappointed especially because I spent $ 35. The shrimp tempura a very small and the shrimp wasn’t cleaned. They use lettuce in their sushi rolls? I have never seen or heard of this before. Needless to say I will definitely NOT be back. I guess I gotta keep driving to Springfield for Sushi, Tempura. I do have to mention that the customer service was very good.
