5 Star Rating is not high enough! Tom from AC Engineers came to inspect my AC unit after I was told by One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning that I needed a new unit that would cost at least $ 5096.00. Tom came over and quickly determined that all that was needed was a capacitor and had the system working in 20 minutes just fine at a cost of only $ 165.00. He told me that AC Engineers is NOT commission driven as is many of the companies in the area. Since those companies get a huge profit from selling and installing new units many small repairs are exaggerated in order to get to sell entire new units. AC Engineers technicians are paid by the hour and don’t get paid extra for installing new units. I will ALWAYS call these guys for any future HVAC work… Ask for Tom as he is a great technician and 100% honest and trustworthy!

This review should be sparkling after the sales pitch I received this morning. Christine was lovely to work with, but the company did not deliver in the end.
I was sold on the $ 55 service call because they were offering $ 25 off. Great. I was told «all parts are on the truck» and «we’ll have you up and running in no time!» Well, unfortunately that was not the case… with either of those statements. I got a call saying my rare 4-​speed furnace motor had to come from Egypt or something and I also needed a new capacitor… Anyway, I had until 3:30pm (less than 30 minutes) to place my order if I wanted the motor to arrive in the next couple of days. Instantly alarm bells went off in my head. My house would have no AC, in July, middle of Summer, it’s Super Hot… NO WAY, THAT’S NOT COOL at all. So I searched «Carrier furnace repair» and got a number to a guy at Aire Serv who dispatched a tech immediately and my A/​C was fixed SAME DAY-​AS PROMISED just not by AC Engineers… AND I will add that it was fixed in less than 2 hours!!! Would I recommend Air Conditioning Engineers? If the service call is going to be free if they can’t fix it same day… eh, why not? But in the future, I will go to Aire Serv of Emerald Coast. The service found at Aire Serv is unheard of anymore. I just can’t thank them enough.
**And I wish I hadn’t wasted $ 55 on this company!!!** Oh and to be fair, the diagnosis performed by AC Engineers was completely accurate. But more bad news… their «quote» even with the «waived $ 25 trip charge» was WAY more than Aire Serv charged me. A month has passed and I’ve cooled off at this point, but the thought of them ripping me off really upset me, so I guess 2 stars is generous.
**UPDATE: I have been monitoring my cc statements and have not been charged the $ 55 service call. I think the reason for that is my email I sent letting them know I should not be charged-​basically stating what I did above, but I did not get a reply to that email, so I have been waiting to see.
