I’ve got to up my review because I have to give VN Nails credit for their services. I’ve been to other Spas for not only eyebrow waxing, but manicures and pedicures. Seems like the more waxing I get at other places, the less the quality is. I’ve got drops of wax left in places on my face that I didn’t know existed. Yes, my brows were nice, but peeling wax off my earrings, glasses [residue from my eye area stuck to my glasses afterwards], hairline… is not something I look forward to having to do. VN Nails uses some watermelon smelling cleanser on your forehead to make sure all wax is off. No drips or drops when I leave. Tell a staff member you’re looking for a cleanup, and that’s what you get. They take their time making sure your brows are even and pretty. I know some guys who shouldn’t be afraid to use this service… although the information pamphlet at the front desk says the Spa offers an array of other waxing services for a literal song. Honest truth — 8 bucks for eyebrows here, and I’ve paid up to 10 dollars more in other places. With the mani and pedi’s, they take their time on these too. Today my tech was Kai, who seems mostly reserved, did crack a smile a few times when I joked about the color I got(purple) on my fingers and how a dust mite always seems to find its way onto wet paint. My toesies are all pretty in a shade of red, my fingers are shaded purple, and my eyes look mahvelous. Question is, where can I go this holiday weekend to show off? The cool(and nice) thing: They offer beverages while you’re getting painted. The staff is nice and friendly and will make great conversation(when they’re not too busy working their magic on your hands and feet. or brows or legs or whatever your doing). For the Unilocalers: if you write a review, make a comment or leave a tip on their Unilocal page(check in from your smartphone so it saves for later… if you have a smart phone), the staff is generous enough that as a token of appreciation, you get $ 3 off your visit. Great way to keep clients coming back because they used to also run a % off your first visit or a % off if you brought a friend. I don’t know if they still do the latter two, but the new promotion is helpful for Unilocalers. Again, great way to keep a fan base. Thanks to the owners and staff for making me feel welcome(again)! *And the Sweetbay Plaza is now Winn Dixie. I wrote in my previous review it’s in Sweetbay, but Winn Dixie bought the Hannaford sibling.

I showed up as a walkin at 545, when the salon doesn’t close until 7 and no customers were there, and asked for a gel manicure and polish change on my toes. The lady took me over to a pedicure chair and proceeded wrap my nails to soak off the gel from a previous manicure and then changed my toe polish. When she was done and I had gotten over to the manicure table And realized that she left my toes and absolute disaster! I asked her to cut them as short as they would go and she did not. She also left polish all over my toes which I later had to take off when I got home. When she started doing my nails she didn’t file them(and I had a couple chipped) and didn’t bother doing the manicure I asked for. She acted as if she were in a hurry even though they weren’t closing for an hour. She went ahead and did the gel polish on chipped and broken nails. Not even 4 days later they are peeling off! $ 30 for 2 polish changes. I wouldn’t go back there if someone paid me to!

Horrendous. I wish there were less stars to give. Kevin was the worst experience of my life. I walked in Friday afternoon because I needed a mani-pedi and they were near my place of residence. I even asked Kevin if he had somewhere to be so I wouldn’t choose the nicer pedicure with this hot stone rundown thing… so I wouldn’t take up his time too much(even though their sign says open till 7pm)… I was trying to make it easier because they could have just turned me away no big deal. .he looked at me all crazy and just proceeded with the pedicure without really answering me and he did not take his time on anything. I asked him to please not hit my ankle bone with the hot stone he rubbed my legs with, and he made sure to hit it every time after that. It was pretty painful. Not relaxing at all(now I have a bruise there the day after). He then chastised me and spoke to me very rudely about being a walk in and not calling ahead and apparently that he had a BBQ to get to. He kept hinting and actuating very upset/annoyed with me. I felt completely embarrassed and just overall awful, angry, and guilty when I left. I wanted to keep apologizing because I didn’t mean to make him angry at all and I felt terrible. I paid $ 70 overall, I still gave a 25% tip. When I got home, my feet were itching and my toes were throbbing until I washed them off and soaked them in ice… I went into there innocently looking for a good local nail salon, not to sit though a 40 minute torture session only to leave with an overwhelming sense of guilt and being most unwelcome(all prior to 7pm which is how late They are open till). I’m still very upset and in some deal of pain. I’m not a high maintenance person but I do like to feel like a woman SOMETIMES… Safe to say that the keratin on all 20 of my phalanges won’t be getting color coated at this place ever again.

Wanted to get a mani pedi… Stopped in here as a first time customer because it was close to where I live. I wish I would have drove the extra 10 minutes to my regular nail salon. The staff was not friendly at all. I got a mani pedi and was less than impressed. Usually when I get shellac it lasts at least 2 weeks or longer. It chipped in less than 4 days. I won’t be returning.
