I’ve been here several times and at different points in the day. I really enjoy getting an early breakfast before work. My service is usually very good. There is one waitress, I forget her name, who is super friendly and right on top of things. I love the atmosphere, the food is excellent, and the service is usually good. I’ve had a couple of servers who were very slow and not attentive. I was the only person there one morning; she saw me and continued her conversation with the kitchen crew. Didnt acknowledge me, just continued her story and took her time to come to me. I almost walked out. Other than that, I’m a big fan of this place

Strongly not recommended. Just drinking water that serves to customers taste already so nasty how can food taste right !!! Maybe it was my fault that tried to order something healthy, so it didn’t taste as good as others. But com’on just yogurt and fruit can’t make it taste right how else could be. Service was fine, but food was not. It’s a «No No» place.

Can’t really complain about the food for brunch, it was pretty decent. However our waitress was bad. We expected a wait, but she was rude after 15 min wait for a drink order. At that point we were ready to order, waitress was still quite stand-off ish. She brought a Diet Coke instead of regular, we found out later she was aware that Coke was out, never asked if it was a problem, not too big of a deal. We didn’t see her again until after we finished our meals, any time we saw her she was milling around the bar(typically when a place is busy there’s no time to hang around) The order was incorrect and another waitress/runner did a killer job fixing the mistake. Other than that as tight as it was in the restaurant there were empty unusable tables, chairs stacked around in corners and power tools in the corners, just sort of messy for the main dining floor.

Food passable, but extremely slow service. And they ran out of silverware. This place needs new management. There is no excuse for a customer to sit at a table for 25 minutes before even seeing a waiter. And then there is no excuse for food to take an hour after the order. Very lousy service, and I don’t want to blame the wait staff, I’m thinking they need more wait staff, especially on a busy Saturday afternoon.

Been here 3 times but never had«Kim» experience until this last time. Greeted fine, took order ok… just to not be heard from or seen again until it was time to go. Someone else brought out our food and not everything came out as ordered… would have complained, but Kim was everywhere but our table. Seen her walk by our table but she doesn’t seem to care if coffee needed to be refilled or if the food came out ok and everyone is happy. I’m not sure if she is an actual waitress or owns the place but my breakfast was ruined. I wouldn’t complain if this was«steak and shake» breakfast but for $ 11 plus anything you order, I would expect better quality of service. I didn’t complain to the manager because I didn’t want to hear rehearsed apologies and get couple of dollars of my bill… just paid my bill and left basic 15%. After reading at least another person receiving«Kim» quality of service, decided that someone should be aware and fix the problem! Otherwise, food is decent so no issues there…

Good stand by restaurant, but not the best in the downtown area. It was late on a Saturday night, buuuuuuut… they were out of EVERYTHING. We ended up with a table of Caprese salads… it was all they had. :(

Horrible experience. We ordered Coke to drink, she comes back and says it is not carbonated properly. We try to order the quiche Lorraine, it’s not cooked yet. I order the chicken omelet, says there is avocado on it, not on mine. The temperature of the food was warm. The seasoned potatoes had so much seasoning it was as if they were rolled in grass. Would not come here for breakfast, maybe they do other meals better. Not impressed at all.

Shout out to the girls behind the bar for taking care of our table that Kim pretty much abandoned. After taking our order, we didn’t see her again for a good 20 min. Being a previous server, you’re taught to check on your guests after the food has been delivered. I needed condiments for my meal but she was no where to be found. The girls behind the bar brought our food, continued taking our requests and Kim finally comes back but not to check on us, only to force the checks on us when we haven’t seen her this whole time and we weren’t even done here. Waters were never refilled. Last but not least when we finally do pay she brings us back somebody else’s credit card. Good thing we caught that mistake as quickly as we did or somebody could have taken off with our credit card. Will not be returning here again and if we do, will not tolerate having Kim as our waitress.

Over cooked omelette but friendly service. Exactly like the most bland British food.

This is one of the unique restaurants located in the Riverfront District of Downtown Fort Myers. I had driven by it many times and finally decide to try their breakfast on my day off. I rarely find a restaurant that I love their black coffee, but here I had 3 cups! I had the«Royal Eggs» — Atlantic smoked salmon with fresh scrambled eggs and chives. Served on toasted English muffins with fresh fruit. It was very yummy. Smoked salmon was fresh. I only wish that the English muffin had cream cheese on it. Hard to describe the atmosphere, as we were the first diners of the day. But the décor fit the theme as expected. I’d like to come back for the night vibe.

Great breakfast! English dishes and traditional fare. Sidewalk seating was a plus on the palm tree-lined streets of downtown Fort Myers.

The granola and yogurt is amazing. Finish it off with an almond joy(coconut café mocha) for the perfect breakfast treat ;)

The atmosphere is really nice and I love the location downtown. The scotch egg is delicious and it is nice to have a little taste of the UK in Florida. My only issue is that they run out of things on the menu quite often. I have ordered things just to find out that they ran out. The food and service are great though.

Cute place for breakfast. Another great place for outdoor seating downtown Ft. Myers. The food is ok… nothing great, but the menu is much of British /English style. So they don’t specialize in your stack of pancakes or waffles. They are the egg and sausage type. Good eggs Benedict. Try the sausage… they are nothing like the normal American breakfast sausage. They look different and taste different… like they do in Europe.

I’m a Brit, no other way to say it, and I always have a yearning for good, honest, authentic Brit food after living stateside for over 11 years. I frequent Ft. Myers frequently on business and, very fortunately for me, the is the home of United Café Bar and Bistro. I have eaten lunch here several times, and have never been let down by their chicken curry and rice. Today, by way of a change, l decided to try their full English breakfast … Wow, what a treat! Thick cut bacon, English Sausage, 2 eggs, baked beans, Mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, toast and endless coffee! Brits and Anglophiles, make your way to this jewel in Ft. Myers. Your tastebuds will thank you!

Stopped in for a little coffee pick me up with a friend. I had an iced caramel latte and I practically inhaled it! I really enjoyed it and would absolutely stop in again. My friend had a regular iced coffee, and she did she said it was better than most of the ones she gets from ‘chain’ coffee places.

Excellent service. We had Crab cake Benedict, really good, proper portion of bernaisse. Crab good, not Baltimore or eastern shore of MD like but acceptable for Florida. Wife had eggs and potatoes with grilled tomatoes. She enjoyed as well. Great selection of coffees. We will come back for other meal time selections.

Overpriced for what it is. If you want anything OTHER than a proper English breakfast, don’t come here. Breakfast will cost you $ 10+ which you could find for half the price and better quality at a diner.

My husband & I were visiting from Orlando & were looking for a place we could eat where we could bring our dog with us. Walking down First street the owner came and greeted us & our dog & asked if we wanted a table. She quickly cleared a table for us & offered to bring a bowl of water out for our dog. I ordered a scrambewich which was a scrambled egg with swiss on a croissant. My husband ordered a waffle, scrambled eggs. bacon & sausage — or since this is a British café, I guess it was a banger. :) Everything was good. The owner came by and offered some roast beef to our dog Ha Ha. She was very nice & our server did a great job. Overall a very nice experience.

Went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. What a mistake. Ordered an egg/croissant sandwich. It was $ 8.50(plus an extra $ 3 for ham) so the total was $ 11.50. I figured that for the $ 3 upcharge, it would be a nice piece of griilled ham or something. But instead it was a few tiny pieces of the sliced ham you buy in the grocery store. But, the real kicker was the potatoes. My $ 11.50 breakfast came with a grand total of seven small roasted potato pieces(yes. I counted them). It was a ridiculously small portion of food for that price. I even took a picture of it, so go look at what $ 11.50 will get you at this joint. My g/f got the 2 egg breakfast($ 8.00), which was also very small and disappointing. I asked the waitress if it was normal to give such a small amount of food. To her credit, she did bring some extra potatoes to the table. So, the one star is for her. There are some really nice little places to eat in downtown Ft. Myers. My suggestion would be to find another place for your breakfast unless you happen to enjoy overpaying for underwhelming food.
