Pretty decent place. Creative décor. Food was good overall. Pulled pork was good and the chicken was excellent. Mac and cheese was okay. Haven’t found a decent restaurant Mac and cheese anywhere. Beans were good, a little bland, but a shot of BBQ sauce helps. One drawback was the fries. They are not fries. The are sliced potatoes deep fried. They came out soggy. They shouldn’t call them fries. Corn bake was good. Overall a good place, lot of tv’s.

It was all delicious! Husband had the 28 day aged strip steak and cooked to perfection. I had the smoked ½ chicken and absolutely delicious paired with the different Barbque sauces. The sides were very good, corn soufflé, fried okra and red potatoes. My drink was exceptional :) a Polish Buffalo. Ordered a smoked chicken Ceaser salad for take out for my son and he loved and will go with us next time. Sarah was our server and very friendly and knowledgeable with the menu. Owners are the Ford/Firestone Group and they know what they are doing!

We’ve moved away but coming back every year to see the area up and coming is really nice. The Lodge is a fun and unique addition to downtown Ft. Myers. I loved the ski lodge/mountain décor. They have a nice selection of draft beer and the self-serve taps are a fun option. Service was quick and friendly. The BBQ was good(no dry meat here!). Definitely worth checking out!

Unique ambiance for South Florida. Get a piece of the mountain ski lodge feel but hundreds if not thousands of miles away in South Florida. Really cool vibe that pays attention to detail. Everything from the fire place and wood walls to an actual faux chairlift with little kid skiers going through the walls, it has the ski vibe down pat! BBQ food is delicious. My pulled pork platter was legit. The sauces on the side, NAILED ‘EM! So much flavor, so good. I would highly recommend coming here in your stop to Ft Myers area. The service is great While our server didn’t know much about the mountains on the pictures on the wall, he knew everything about the menu… which was good. Because I came for the food, if I wanted the mountains I would be in the Rockies or Cascades, but I came to eat dinner, so his education was in the right place. Such a fun spot to spend a dinner. Deal Seeking Diva tip: 11−7PM happy hour everyday with $ 2 drafts and $ 3 house wines. You can’t go wrong.

Good BBQ in downtown Fort Myers. The mozzarella planks were excellent and the serve yourself beer taps were a fun touch(especially on Thursday when they are half off!). I probably wouldn’t get the Florida wild hog again but it was fun to try. Both the potatoes and Brussel sprouts were very good. My wife also liked the pulled pork and corn soufflé. All in all a solid meal at a decent price.

The Lodge, Fort Myers, Fl, Note: Be advise that a majority of GPS units takes you to West First St. This is wrong. Check Google maps it will show you First St. in Fort Myers. Here is a bit of chit chat and my 2 cents on the food. I had the Florida feral hog entrée with Carolina potato salad and apple coleslaw. First the sides. Both items were pretty good. I do not understand why these southern states item are always sour. Too much vinegar for me. Do they not have sugar? Or are the sour that they lost the civil war. Aside from my preference the side were good. Now the main entrée. Pork. It was good pulled pork. No big deal that it was feral hog meat though. Ah but a big tasty surprise was their Texas style mopping sauce. A little spicy and a little sweet. Actually the best sauce I have tasted since being here in SWFL. My server Becky did a great job. This is a touristy and sports bar. Being in downtown Ft. Myers it is what you would expect to find. Also if you wish to try moonshine for the first time, they have a good variety. I tried it. It was strong and surly get you drunk real fast.

The inside is pretty cool, however the table we were seated at was horrible. Right next to the kitchen so half of us had to stare at the kitchen and all the waitstaff instead of the cool décor. Although the place was quiet when we first got there, they didn’t offer us any other place to sit. Three of us ended up ordering the special which was bacon wrapped filet with smashed potatoes & asparagus. We all ordered the streaks medium, but they were all medium rare(we didn’t say anything). Kids both had ribs. It was ok, but definitely not someplace I would go back too

Newish restaurant in Downtown Fort Myers. Same people own basically all the restaurants downtown. Mediocre food each time I’ve been. Collard greens had been sitting around too long. Nothing memorable about any off the potato sides on offer. Today I ordered the fried grilled cheese sandwich. I was definitely expecting something hot, gooey, and decadent. What I got was cold mozzarella sticks, one slice of cheddar, and one slice of Swiss cheese warmed up and put between an inside out hamburger bun. The drinks and food are seriously overpriced and overrated. Poke your head in and take a look at the décor(it’s cool!) but dine at your own risk. P. S. The servers are always nice.

First try at Lodge… and we like it! Pretty busy, but they gave us a big, comfy booth in the bar. TVs are everywhere and HUGE! Our waitress, Marissa, was wonderful… friendly, helpful and efficient. Complimentary pork rinds were pretty good, beer and rum and coke were good and overall atmosphere was fun, fun, fun. The guy sitting behind us was a major fan of the self-serve beer taps! My husband will probably try that out on our next visit. No valet parking will make it difficult to visit The Lodge on weekends, as parking on First St. is a headache during season. The peach cobbler in a mason jar was the«cherry on top»!! Delicious!!! We’ll be back!!!

Located in downtown Fort Myers, nice sports bar/restaurant with lots of tvs. Cool vibe with lots of wood, but a bit cramped when crowded. Server did a great job with answering questions and recommending items. Happy hour from 11am-7pm for well drinks and house wine at $ 3 per. I ordered the salmon on cedar blank with a glaze that came with sautéed spinach. No problem substituting if wanted. The salmon came out perfectly cooked and seasoned. Must say, I was happily surprised as they mostly offer things like bison and wild hog. Others at table ordered rainbow trout which was also very good and bison burger. Would definitely hit this place up again when in the area.

We went on a busy Friday night our first time visiting. We waited maybe 5 minutes or so to be seated. We were seated in the bar area. The S/O loved the big screen tvs as he could watch the game. I noticed the self tap beer station was busy and popular but I didn’t try it. Our server guy was very nice and pretty prompt. For starter drinks The S/O ordered just a regular bottled Bud but that was not available so he accepted a draft instead-not his fave. I’m the drinker so I ordered a brandy and coke. Not much to it so next round I ordered a double Jack n’ coke. Better. Anyhoo, appetizer was fried green tomatoes. Good but needed to stay in the fryer a tad longer to get a thorough done-ness and crispness to the batter. I had the planked salmon which I have to say was good. A true southern girl I added a side of fried okra. Loved it. The S/O had the baby back ribs. He was not pleased, sorry to say. He felt they were somehow greasy. The sides smashed potatoes and mac n’ cheese he felt were just ok and he did not finish them. He said he’d probably order something else next time. I think the manager also visited our table. She was very nice. Things were looking up by the time dessert rolled around. The band was on and they played a great ass hit from STP. I also don’t believe I’ve ever heard Snoop Dogg’s Gin n’ Juice sang quite that way and they jammed. lol So, we shared the apple cobbler dessert and a toddy drink that complimented each other very well. A rather tipsy patron came up to our table and jokingly asked for some of our cobbler. We politely declined and hoped she had a designated driver. lol All in all we enjoyed it. I was brave enough to go up and touch Bart the bear’s claws. We will return but we’ll probably try sitting on the other side.

The rest of my meal hasn’t even come yet. I love fried pickles. If I go to a restaurant and they’re on the menu, I am obligated to order them. I’ve had fried pickles all over the country. These fried pickles were some of the best I’ve ever had. Get ‘em. Most fried pickles have so little flavor and rest on their pickle laurels with incredibly boring breading. This breading was soft inside, and super crunchy outside with dill mixed in. Excellent.

We ate here last weekend, I was cautious because it was out first time there. Wasn’t sure of the gluten free situation. I had the wild hog lettuce wraps, they were delicious! And I’m happy to report no gluten reaction!!! My husband, who is not celiac, had the rack of lamb ribs and he loved them. Happy to add another choice to our list. The drinks and décor are awesome.

The Lodge serves meats like bison and wild hog, which are awesome when cooked right, and The Lodge cooks them right. They didn’t even know I was going to write a review, but they still gave me a bunch of the tasty«burnt ends» with my pulled wild pork, which was amazing. The atmosphere is like nothing else in the area. The drink menu alone is amazing, and made me want to try one of everything, and I can’t wait to make my way through it. It includes a moonshine menu too! Who am I kidding? I want to make my way through the food menu as well. Whether you’re just looking for a place to chill out at the bar, or looking for a great, filling meal, you’ve got to check this place out. It gets VERY busy, and for a good reason, but it doesn’t seem to affect the quality of food or the service. Awesome side dishes, a moonshine menu, and great mountain and prairie views make The Lodge one of the few must-visit restaurants in Fort Myers.

This place has got it right! Great atmosphere, food, and price! I will elaborate more when I wake up from my self induced food coma. One of my new favorites! The tomato soup is like crack! Whitney was a wonderful server. Updated:(the next day) Now that I can think clearly and my tummy isn’t forcing me to sleep here is what I had and what I thought… Single order of Pork Rinds– crunchy and delicious 5 out of 5 Fondue– the cheese was delicious! What it comes with could have been better especially the pretzel bread. 4 out of 5 Caprese stack– balsamic drizzle could have been heavier, the fried green tomato was great, the Buffalo Moz…(not sold that it really was, it’s usually creamier) was so so. 3 out of 5 The pot stickers– Amazing! And the sauce it comes with I would put on a shoe and eat! 5 out of 5 The Tomato soup– I would go JUST for that soup! 120 out of 5!!! And for desert Apple pie a la mode in a mason jar– outstanding 5 out of 5 Enjoy!

I’m gonna give this place a 2.5 experience. I’ve been here twice and what saves it is the location and look of the restaurant. The inside definitely does look like a lodge and not some Florida city. The craft beer wall is nice but we haven’t tried it out yet. I do enjoy the variety of whiskeys they have which is nice. Also the bar tenders have been nice to us. The first time we came I wanted to try the Florida Wild Hog. They were out. Which is unacceptable for a bbq place that we have heard has good Wild Hog. If it’s your popular dish, you should always have it. It wasn’t even a busy night which is why it’s unacceptable. I had the Bison burger that night and it felt oright… I couldn’t tear it apart or rave about it. The fried tomatoes weren’t bad. My wife had something I can’t remember, which isn’t good. One of our friend’s have a rotisserie chicken meal of some sort and that definitely was good. Oh, and we ordered the pork rinds which weren’t bad but not to die for. The second time we came it had an hour wait for a Saturday @ 6pm so we sat outside. No fans for the outside seaters and the humidity was absurd. I ordered the Wild Hog and corn soufflé. My wife tried the Bison burger and another member has the Cubanbbq sandwich. My wife loved her burger but I kinda was not impressed with the Wild Hog. The best thing about it was the variety of bbq sauces you can put on it but that’s not really a point for them. Our server was also a bit pushy, not aggressive, but you can hear that he wanted to be at times. Overall, i think we may be done trying to eat here and if we return itll be for drinks only.

Love the selfservice beer taps at 38 cents an ounce. Lets you try before buying a full glass. Had the bbq platter with ribs, pulled pork and brisket. Excellent but luke warm. Sides were a disappointment! None were homemade. Beans were canned, okra frozen, broccoli was bad, mashed potatoes were ok and fries with skins were decent. One person in our party got a salad with chicken. It was large but not as advertised. Chicken was good. Dinner rolls were a joke! Service was ok. Long wait but they have call ahead seating. After 30 minutes it is cancelled if you havent arrived. We made it in 29 minutes. Lots of large tvs for sports.
