Nice little place! Simple Mexican food all made fresh. Nice guy at the counter. Good cleanliness. Tasty inexpensive Mexican food. Recommended

Taqueria Jalapenos was a short stop during a day spent as a tourist in Fort Myers area. My friends who are residence had us stop for a snack there because of their affinity for the restaurant’s pico de gallo(also known as salsa fresca). Boy, were they right! This tasty treat in a bowl with some tortilla chips is wonderful; fresh, chunky tomatoes mixed with onions, corriandor, lime and salt hits the spot. My order was a taquito(or flauta) came as a two-piece dish with delicious chicken wrapped inside and a nice light covering of guacamole and sour cream. My bet is this. Taqueria Jalapenos likely serves up some mean, original, tasty Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes. Local flavor in a bright green building that might seem to shoo away some parties interested in this food. By all means … stop in to Taqueria Jalapenos.

We stopped in to grab take out and they closed the kitchen at 8:45 when their sign says they close at 9pm. Not impressed.

Visiting from Iowa and read reviews and decided to try this restaurant. Great decision. This is a place locals frequent and we are so glad we tried it. The best refried beans and tostadas I have had. Truly authentic food. Not the nicest setting but once you have the food you can overlook it.

Just really good, fresh food. Salsa and homemade chips were awesome. Had three tacos — carne asado, lengua and carnitas.

We decided to go here because of the reviews… So we were sitting waiting for friends and I noticed that there were two guys watching us very closely. Then one pulled out a gun and quietly handed it to another. The other guy would not take it, I believe he saw me reaching for my pistol Behind my back. There gun was put away and we decided to leave. It looks like a very good diner… maybe because we looked like tourists something was about to happen. This is a weird story… just wanted to report it.

The food was really tasty and inexpensive! I had a combination plater with a tamale and chicken taco, and a shrimp taco. All where very tasty! My husband had quesadillas and he really liked them. My fil had the enchilada and taco platter and He really liked his as well. I will definitely be back.

Classic hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant. The food was cheap and delicious. We ordered a Mexican smörgåsbord to go and got a little bit of everything. Nothing disappointed. Make sure to load up on the tomatillo and hot sauces.

I stopped in last night for supper. I ordered a combination plate with an enchilada and a tamale. The plate came with a little bit of lettuce and spices, rice and refried beans. The refried beans were excellent! This restaurant is a small Mom-n-Pop kind of place. It is decorated well, the seating is adequate. Dinner plates are china, but everything else is plastic. The seating could use a little updating. Nothing fancy about it. While most Mexican restaurants provide complimentary chips and salsa, I ordered mine with the white cheese. They were good, but I wasn’t thrilled with the price. But they were good! I wouldn’t hesitate to come back for a satisfying meal here.

Tacos are served just how they should be and how I miss– cilantro and onions. Meat was all really good(we had asada, shredded beef and pork between us). Also tried pork tamale — good masa, little dry, but some of their salsas — delicious! This a come to the counter ordering place — so don’t come here expecting table service. Guy behind the counter was super friendly and helpful though.

Best tacos around. Inexpensive and delicious. Not the best location but I’ll do what I gotta do to get these bad boys.

Excellent authentic Mexican food. Fast service, and decent prices. Tough to find a parking spot at lunch time — an indicator of how good it is!

The service is non-existent, imagine walking into a Burger King that serves tacos. When you order is ready, the guy yells your number so you can go pick your order at the counter. The one dude taking our order did NOT want to be there, not even a «good afternoon» or «welcome» when we walked in. The food, on the other side, was really good, I had al pastor burrito(had to pay extra because was al pastor), the wife had carnitas platter and it too was really good. This may be a great take out option, but not dine in, great food, no service.

When I had a hankering for tacos in Ft. Myers one sunny Florida Monday, this amazing little taqueria came to the rescue. For less than $ 20, we got a burrito, chips & queso, two tacos and two drinks. Not bad for a wonderful, hearty meal! Everything was delicious, but my favorite was the shrimp burrito. It’s as close as you can get to a California-style item without going to San Diego.

This is a great spot. We had chips and salsa, tacos, burritos and homemade jalapeños. Everything is delicious and well made. The staff is friendly, the dining room is ample and clean. And the restaurant is kid/family friendly. Check this place out!

Great, cheap, authentic Mexican food. 2 entrees, 2 appetizers, and 2 drinks was around $ 25. The food was excellent and large portions — 2 entrees and apps was more than enough food for two people. The décor was cute and the service was friendly. All-in-all one of the better Mexican places I’ve been to.

The atmosphere inside is very cool– lots of sombreros and good places to sit. The menu is a little overwhelming, so I might look in advance to figure out what you might want. The fiesta fries are delicious! There’s tons of sauces to choose from. We ordered the queso blanco and put some hot salsa in it, made it nice and spicy. Very delicious Mexican food. It’s super filling and the staff was friendly.

Delicious Mexican food – all my family agrees! Portions are on the bigger side so three orders for four people is more appropriate, I think. Nachos with carnitas was very good and can count as an order in and of itself! We ran into a local with his kid while there waiting for take out who said he frequented at least three or four times a week. That says something!

Pork tamale and smothered burrito(shredded beef) were very good! We stopped here after visiting the Edison Ford Estates. Food was delivered quickly and was oh, so yummy! We didn’t need the chips and salsa except for the opportunity to try the home made hot and mild sauces. Great place.

I had vegetables fajitas combo. My girl had shredded beef soy tacos combo. We split chips and guacamole. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. Mine could have had more spice.
