I have NEVER been so insulted and had such horrible service any where!!! I originally booked a hotel in Sanibel through Expedia and got bumped to this place. I am disabled and was going down to FL for my best friends wedding. I originally booked the hotel I did because they had a 24 hour cancellation policy. Due to my health issues I needed to be sure that if I had to cancel, I would get my money back. I was told when I got switched to this property I was told that all of the conditions of the original property would transfer order to this one. Unfortunately I had to have surgery and had to cancel. I was originally told by someone that as long as the original property had a 24hour cancelation policy they would honor it. Now mind you I tried to cancel 4 days ahead of time. I was then told to call Expedia in order to get my money back. So I called and while on the phone with them they called the resort and the resort told Expedia that having surgery wasn’t a good enough reason to cancel. After going back and forth with Kelly, the manager at the resort and Expedia not only did I not get my money back but I was insulted when she insinuated that I was lying and didn’t know what I was talking about when I told her what I was originally told by her and another staff member at the hotel.
