Debbie at Rene’s Catering was awesome to work with. She adjusted my order when needed and helped me come up with a menu that worked well for my occasion. There was plenty of food with lots left over. The blintzes with berry sauce were the favorite of many of my guests. Thank you Rene’s for all of your efforts to make our event a success!

Recently had lunch with my dad at the new location on Winkler Rd, he loved the old one… My sandwich consisted mostly of bread and was way overpriced. Never going back.

We order here regularly for lunch at my office. Always fresh, always consistent. Very good deli sandwiches and salads.

I don’t know how they made it 30 years either they had it and they lost it… went the other day with my neighbor and the food was no good. I had the quiche it was microwaved it was horrible also ordered a grilled cheese was not grilled it was like toast with a kookie cheese almost choked it got stuck in my throat. A good restaurant impossible candidate!

Pitas are drenched in mayo. Seafood salad is incredibly heavy and full of immitation crab. Pasta salad has ok flavor but probably 1000 calories in a half cup portion. Veggie pita is just mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, and a handful of cheddar cheese. Food is very ordinary and bland. I wouldn’t waste my money here, but my company orders in lunch from them occasionally. I got a garden salad and carrot cake(based on reviews from fellow helpers); an order that would be hard to screw up! Finally, a meal I don’t HATE from Rene’s! :) For that, you get another star.

support you local ft myers restaurants! Rene’s is a great option for lunch and the sandwiches are delicious. I am a huge fan of the Grand Duchess without Bacon and the Turkey Ruben. The chicken salad wraps are also really good. If you like good food and a friendly atmosphere give Rene’s a try. Also give the pasta salad a try. Not healthy but if you like ranch dressing it is pretty good.

Somewhere between 2 and 3 stars, my rating goes. It’s not fully 3, but it’s not a complete two. Unfortunately, I have to choose one. What makes the down rate is a couple reasons: 1. When deciding what I wanted for lunch(so many decisions), I apparently was holding the line up(which was no one in back of me). I wanted something new to try, but didn’t want the special of the day(which was something with Italian sausage or a Waldorf wrap of sorts). The lady taking the order, asked if I eat one thing, and the person I was with said«not often». Asked about something else, «sometimes». I’m a picky eater, and a lot of things are made with too much mayonnaise these days. I don’t like [something] with my mayo. Well, the cashier had enough, and snarked out«what are you, a vegetarian or something?». Excuse me? Do you want me to order now that you gave me an attitude and questioned my eating habits? I ordered some chicken salsa wrap thing. It was the next suggested item and I just went with it. What was wrong with my wrap? The fruit cup that came with it had a couple dead grapes. The chicken was cooked and the cheese melted, but for something that had salsa in it, it didn’t tasted that spicy. Although the juice from whatever canned salsa was in it, did drip out. Otherwise, it was okay. Some wraps I’ve had, have been better than this. 2. The person I was with ordered a chicken and pear salad. Or it was a salad with grilled chicken and pears. Something to that effect. Big plate, lots to look at and eat. What was wrong with the salad? Had the person known they’d be eating canned pears, the salad would not have been ordered. There’s a difference between fresh tasting, zesty fruit, and stale, kinda bland, fruit. Don’t get me wrong, the salad looked amazing. The chicken was fully cooked and fresh, but the pears were the downer. I’ve had better luck at this place. Must have just been the day and time I went. Will I go back? Quite possibly, if I’m in the area, but time will tell.

I adore Rene’s. The pita sandwiches are very tasty and the pasta salad is great. Try the veggie pita with horseradish!

Okay… so I see the other reviews and think they must be family members. We stopped to celebrate Renee’s longevity in this hard to get into location off McGregor and we were not impressed. If I wanted cold, unmelted cheese and meat on pre-bagged loaf style bread I would have gone to a 7Eleven and paid a lot less. But I think the real deal breaker for us was the crumb sized chips we had as our side to our brutally tasteless sandwiches. I’m sure they won’t close their doors from this review but I had to voice in for those of us who are not regulars or related. As a side note we also tried the Sunday Brunch at their other location and it was a good thing they served Bloody Mary’s & Mimosa’s because we needed something to take away from the dry ham and over salted Buffet dishes… but it is right in front of a large retirement community so that is in their favor.

Renees has been in business for 25 years for a reason! They serve great, fresh food and the service is excellent! They have indoor and outdoor seating and a menu with lots of options. They hve daily specials that are usually excellent. I’ve tried the hummus wrap and veggie pita with horseradish — both awesome. The waitstaff is so nice! They even brought out dog treats and water for our puppy when we sat outside for lunch. Highly recommend this place to anyone!

You could do yourself a big favor by stopping by Rene’s for lunch. Wide assortment of sandwiches and salads plus soup. Great cake too. Friendly and efficient wait staff.

This is a nice sandwich and salad shop. It isn’t fancy and there is room for improvement, but overall a fast, tasty lunch experience. The french dip looked very good as did a grilled chicken topped salad, but my roast beef was just OK and I would not order the lemonade again. Service was good and the prices were right.

Love this place! Get the Grilled chicken and Cheddar Peta with a side of Honey Mustard. You will love it! It comes with awesome pasta salad. Also try the Seafood salad peta! Finish it off with the best carrot cake! One of my favorites. If only they didn’t close so early in the day.
