Well above any other Japanese steak house I’ve been to. And… I hate these types of places. Service was very friendly and prompt. The prices were reasonable. I highly recommend this place if this is your sort of thing.

Love Osaka! I’ve been a fan for many many years and it seems like it just keeps getting better! The food is delicious whether you’re in the mood for hibachi or Thai. My faves are the Massaman Curry, Drunken Noodles, and Beef Nagamaki; as well as the filet and chicken and fried rice at the hibachi grill. If I ate sushi I’d tell you that it’s the best, but I don’t so you should trust my friends when they say it’s amazing. Munk, Rabbit, Ping you guys are the shizzzz!

Food was delicious and prepared in a reasonable amount of time. Very authentic atmosphere. Had a great time there and would definitely return during my next visit.

5 stars! Size, taste, and menu all large and in charge here! The restaurant is massive for restaurant standards. It’s so big, the inside is in fact divided into two sections, a hibachi grill section and a regular/sushi bar dining section. Both sections could easily be their own restaurant with how spacious they are. I appreciated the Asian décor throughout. From the standing buddha statues as you enter, to the cultural paintings and tapestry hanging on the walls. Sometimes being too big of a restaurant gets in the way of the quality of the food, but thankfully that didn’t happen here. We sat down and opened to a menu with endless options. The menu was a combination of Japanese and Thai food, so we decided to tickle our taste buds with both cuisines. There were 4 of us, so we decided to order and share different plates. Our server was very helpful in this process, so as to not let us over order. We went with a shrimp shumai appetizer and 2 large speciality sushi rolls to start(great selection of sushi rolls by the way). The rolls were fresh and super flavorful with sesame seeds scattered on the outside of the roll, which I found deliciously different. For our entrees, we went the Thai route with the Panang Curry, Spicy Drunken Noodle, and a Spicy Basil Beef Sauté. The dishes came with a side of rice, in the shape of a star. A little bit cheesy, but they get an A for effort. While all the dishes were really yummy, the table agreed, the curry took the top prize. There was a perfect blend of spices and a balanced stew-like consistency to the curry; it wasn’t too heavy or too watery. I would have loved to finish every last drop in that bowl, but I figured drinking from the bowl was a bit de‘classe, even amongst friends! Prices were slightly on the higher side, but we got what we paid for. High quality food and an enjoyable dining experience. With the extensive menu, sharing is totally the way to go here, so you can enjoy as many dishes as possible. Absolutely look forward to coming back!

The food is good but every time I go to this restaurant the service gets worse and worse. The last time I was in there a really had enough! Two sections of the restaurant… The Thai side is the one I’m referring to… Awful service! I rather go to a restaurant with good food and service!!!

We had to wait an hour to get it but YUM it was worth the wait! When we sat down for the Hibachi, we found out you could only order limited sushi from their menu. And the sushi bar was so backed up that they recommended not even ordering any. Other than that, the food was delicious! Biggest hibachi restaurant I’ve ever been to!

Osaka Japanese Steakhouse has two dining rooms: one with hibachi tables where you have a chef prepare your meal with entertainment and humor and another for patrons ordering entirely off the sushi menu. We haven’t tried the sushi here but the menu looks promising and selections ordered by others at our table looked really good. Although we’ve dined here before, we were a bit unsure what type of wait we would have, since they do not take reservations and today was Valentine’s Day. We were fortunate to be seated immediately and our table was filled within ten minutes of our arrival. Our hibachi chef was friendly and shared with us his great sense of humor. His execution of our meals was without fault. Everything was absolutely delicious. The only small distraction I had was that his attention seemed to wander off to other tables and/or the back of the dining room several times. I do know at one point he was trying to get the attention of somebody to bring him a sweet tea, so that could have been part of what I was noticing. Final Assessment: fresh ingredients, friendly efficient staff and great food. Highly recommended when you’re in the mood for hibachi.

All I can say is yum! Use to travel to Bradenton for Thai food but no more. Atmosphere isn’t as cozy/romantic but the drive isn’t either. Red spicy curry at medium heat is very spicy but I loved it! And wonderful favors. My new favorite place.

This place has the best sushi in Fort Myers. I’ve tried plenty of sushi restaurant in town, and most of them expensive and lack flavor. Like Blu Sushi and Origami Restaurant. Go and try whatever sushi you like. You won’t be disappointed. Good customer service and clean place!

The Hibachi show was nice but we preferred their other menu items the best. You don’t have to wait too long when you get there, which is good.

Just your normal Japanese restaurant with sushi and Hibachi. It was clean and we were seated quickly. The chef was nice, not overly exciting, but neither were the other diners at our grill. I ordered filet mignon and chicken hibachi. The food was good, the steak tender, portions plentiful but I would have loved to have had ginger sauce for my chicken. It must have been the other Japanese hibachi place here in town that had that. The ginger sauce would put Osaka at the top of my list, but with the good service and quality food I will still be back!

Go for the show. Don’t go for the food or the service. Perfect way to cap off a vacation of mediocre ft. Myers food. Eat it all there. The second day was almost inedible. Drink lots of water. Holy sodium bomb. Editing down to one star. Leftovers gave everyone a major case of gut rumbles and bathroom breaks. Went online and saw a whole separate menu(I KNEW I saw someone eating a noodle dish, which is what I wanted, but no noodles for me!!!) we asked for something for kids as we walked in with cranky hungry ones that didn’t appreciate the HOUR it took for food to arrive. If they had handed us the other menu, the experience would have been much more enjoyable and perhaps, edible. Do. Not. Go.

Osaka, this place is awesome. The sushi is amazing I wish we had a place like this in Miami. The fish quality is excellent and the roll combination is the best ever. Everytime we come to Ft. Myers this is a must stop. We like sitting by the sushi bar, the staff here are excellent and friendly. I recommend this place to everyone. You must try the Osaka roll is delicious.

I’ve eaten here on several occasions and the hibachi chefs are entertaining. The food is pretty good as well. This restaurant tends to get crowded during snowbird season, but is worth the wait if you have time or have a reservation. I tend to only go off season to avoid the crowds.

Absolutely excellent. Our plates were beautiful, our service was excellent, and the food was fantastic, all for a surprisingly reasonable price. We ordered Pad Thai, Vegetable fried rice, an order of California rolls, and thai spring rolls. Our check came out to $ 30.27! Two things worth noting: There are both hibachi and thai sides to the restaurant. The hibachi side had a wait when we came in, but the Thai side was empty. We chose to sit on the Thai side. We did not miss the performance of having our food prepared in front of us as our plates were so beautifully presented. The second thing: Their vegetable fried rice was prepared with a healthy dose of cilantro, which was all through the dish and used as a garnish on top. It was surprising, but still good. We might order the fried rice WITHOUT cilantro next time, for a more traditional flavor.

The food was great and atmosphere even better. Awesome! The chefs were very entertaining and very skilled. They made us laugh while creating a fabulous meal. I had the lobster, scallops, and shrimp. WOWZA!
