Libby’s Flowers & Gifts

Libby’s did the flowers for my wedding and they were STUNNINGLY beautiful to say the least. They honestly could not have been more perfect. Planning my wedding all the way from Kansas City could have been disastrous, but they were quick to respond to my countless emails of all of the different pictures and ideas I had for not only my bouquets, but also the boutonnières, arch décor, and even my dogs little wreath. I will post more of the gorgeous pictures once I get them from the photographer but will post the one I have now that shows a glimpse of their beauty. So thankful I found Libby’s flowers and couldn’t be happier with how all of my flowers turned out, they were perfection!

I’m a wedding planner and Libby’s is my go-​to florist! Dalia is an amazingly talented designer and business woman!

I never write reviews, but Libby’s flowers went over and above for my wedding! I am an extremely busy person with my work schedule and did not have time to work on anything myself. They were able to create everything I was dreaming about but better. Dalia took my vision and truly made it come to life! They were excellent at communication via email back and forth throughout the planning since I couldn’t go in and meet with them often. And they had creative solutions and suggestions for last minute changes that came up due to the venue. Every time I was concerned that I might need to change something, Dalia would come up with something even better then the first idea! I love them and would recommend to anyone!

I came to Fort Myers Beach for a destination wedding. I did everything over the Internet and phone with Libby’s for my ordering. Everything seemed perfect until I arrived at the church and was met by someone from Libby’s with the flowers. The corsages for my husband’s grandmother, my mother, my mother in law, and our god mothers were white. When I opened the boxes-​at church and moments before the wedding started-​the corsages had green, unopened buds all over each corsage, the white flowers were soaking wet and were already starting to turn brown. I almost starting crying. I was too embarrassed to give the corsages to anyone. I gave my husband’s grandmother the worst one because she is in her 90’s and can’t see as good. My friends asked me if I wanted them to take pictures but it was so crazy in that room it never happened. The photographer was great and tried to calm me down (since I was about to cry). He was trying to get photos prior to the ceremony and I hardly took any because I spent my time drying the corsages off with bathroom paper towels before I could give them to anyone.
I talked to the florist after I returned home and she reimbursed me for my husband’s grandmother’s corsage-​since I told her it was really brown. I also complained that the white corsages had tons of unopened green buds. I was told that if I didn’t want green buds I should have specified that. Now how would I-​not a florist– know that when I’m ordering lily corsages or rose corsages that there will be tons of green unopened buds on the corsages and I have to specify that I don’t want them. Who would want unopened, green buds on white corsages? Who would want to pay for unopened, green buds anyway?! I’m paying for flowers! The florist asked if I had pictures of the corsages. Like I said earlier-​my friends had asked me but it just never happened. What a mistake that was! So I didn’t get reimbursed for the other corsages because I didn’t have photos. Well Libby’s thanks for the lesson because now I know that I will take pictures in the future. You almost ruined the most important day of my life. My friends helped me dry them off (they were soaked and dripping water) and my relatives told me don’t worry about it to just deal with it later so it wouldn’t ruin my day.
The only reason that I gave it one star is because my bouquet, and the bridesmaid’s bouquets, were fine. I would have given it 2 stars for that but the attitude of the woman I spoke with over the phone and through emails (about the corsages) was so rude and not caring about this that I decided to only give them one star. That was a big lesson and and expensive one. If you are getting flowers for an event, have them wait with you while you look at each one. If they aren’t there take photos otherwise they won’t care and you won’t get your hard earned money back. I was also told that they talked to my photographer. My photographer has a great business to run there with weddings and has to keep neutral for that.

Libby’s did my bouquet for my wedding. I did the other flowers myself for $ 300 dollars rather than the 1500 I was quoted. My bouquet was beautiful but was supposed to have pearls in each rose but came with rhinestones instead. The flowers were wrapped with white silk but my dress was off.

The folks at Libby’s did an amazing job on my flowers for our small and intimate ceremony. They created exactly what I wanted even with my over the top and picky tastes. They even made sure that a botched shipment of wilted flowers for my bouquet was replaced in record time and they delivered everything to compensate for the rush. Very personable and extremely knowledgeable– I would highly recommend Libby’s to anyone looking for bridal arrangements in the Fort Myers area.
